Surah Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya count 42

عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ( 1 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 1
Someone frowned and turned away. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 1
أَن جَاءَهُ الْأَعْمَىٰ ( 2 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 2
Because the blind man approached him. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 2
وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّهُ يَزَّكَّىٰ ( 3 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 3
How could you know that he might have grown in goodness, Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 3
أَوْ يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنفَعَهُ الذِّكْرَىٰ ( 4 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 4
Or that he be enlightened and the Reminder might benefit him? Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 4
أَمَّا مَنِ اسْتَغْنَىٰ ( 5 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 5
As for him who deems himself in no need of Guidance, Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 5
فَأَنتَ لَهُ تَصَدَّىٰ ( 6 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 6
Unto him you give attention. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 6
وَمَا عَلَيْكَ أَلَّا يَزَّكَّىٰ ( 7 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 7
Yet it is not your responsibility if he grows not in goodness. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 7
وَأَمَّا مَن جَاءَكَ يَسْعَىٰ ( 8 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 8
But as for him who came to you in all eagerness, Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 8
وَهُوَ يَخْشَىٰ ( 9 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 9
And feared straying. (2:2). Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 9
فَأَنتَ عَنْهُ تَلَهَّىٰ ( 10 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 10
Him did you disregard! Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 10
كَلَّا إِنَّهَا تَذْكِرَةٌ ( 11 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 11
Nay, indeed this is an Advisory. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 11
فَمَن شَاءَ ذَكَرَهُ ( 12 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 12
So let him pay heed who will. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 12
فِي صُحُفٍ مُّكَرَّمَةٍ ( 13 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 13
In Scrolls Dignified. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 13
مَّرْفُوعَةٍ مُّطَهَّرَةٍ ( 14 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 14
Exalted, Purified. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 14
بِأَيْدِي سَفَرَةٍ ( 15 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 15
By the hands of Scribes. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 15
كِرَامٍ بَرَرَةٍ ( 16 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 16
Honorable and virtuous. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 16
قُتِلَ الْإِنسَانُ مَا أَكْفَرَهُ ( 17 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 17
Man destroys himself, how ungrateful, rejecting the Sublime Truth! Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 17
مِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَهُ ( 18 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 18
Out of what thing has He created him? Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 18
مِن نُّطْفَةٍ خَلَقَهُ فَقَدَّرَهُ ( 19 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 19
From the male and the female gametes He created him, and then fashioned him in due proportion. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 19
ثُمَّ السَّبِيلَ يَسَّرَهُ ( 20 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 20
And then makes the Way easy for him. (Endowed with faculties). Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 20
ثُمَّ أَمَاتَهُ فَأَقْبَرَهُ ( 21 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 21
Then causes him to die and brings him to disintegrated states. ('Qabr' = Grave = Disintegrated state = The state of sleep between physical death and Resurrection (36:52)). Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 21
ثُمَّ إِذَا شَاءَ أَنشَرَهُ ( 22 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 22
Then, when He will, He shall raise him to life again. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 22
كَلَّا لَمَّا يَقْضِ مَا أَمَرَهُ ( 23 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 23
Nay, man did not fulfill what He enjoined upon him. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 23
فَلْيَنظُرِ الْإِنسَانُ إِلَىٰ طَعَامِهِ ( 24 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 24
Let man consider his food. (His own food has involved so many hands from the field to the mouth. Shouldn't he share Our provision with others?) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 24
أَنَّا صَبَبْنَا الْمَاءَ صَبًّا ( 25 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 25
How We pour water in showers. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 25
ثُمَّ شَقَقْنَا الْأَرْضَ شَقًّا ( 26 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 26
And then We split the earth, split and cleave. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 26
فَأَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا حَبًّا ( 27 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 27
And cause the grain to grow therein. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 27
وَعِنَبًا وَقَضْبًا ( 28 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 28
And vineyards, and fresh vegetation. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 28
وَزَيْتُونًا وَنَخْلًا ( 29 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 29
And olive trees and palm trees. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 29
وَحَدَائِقَ غُلْبًا ( 30 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 30
And dense beautiful gardens. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 30
وَفَاكِهَةً وَأَبًّا ( 31 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 31
And fruits and grasses. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 31
مَّتَاعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَامِكُمْ ( 32 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 32
Provision for you and your cattle. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 32
فَإِذَا جَاءَتِ الصَّاخَّةُ ( 33 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 33
But when comes the Call, Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 33
يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ الْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ ( 34 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 34
On the Day when a man will flee from his brother, Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 34
وَأُمِّهِ وَأَبِيهِ ( 35 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 35
And his mother and his father, Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 35
وَصَاحِبَتِهِ وَبَنِيهِ ( 36 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 36
And his wife and his children. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 36
لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَأْنٌ يُغْنِيهِ ( 37 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 37
To everyone on that Day will be enough his own concern. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 37
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّسْفِرَةٌ ( 38 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 38
Some faces on that Day will be bright as dawn. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 38
ضَاحِكَةٌ مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌ ( 39 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 39
Laughing, rejoicing at good news. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 39
وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ ( 40 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 40
And some faces on that Day will have dust upon them, Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 40
تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ ( 41 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 41
With gloom overspread. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 41
أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْكَفَرَةُ الْفَجَرَةُ ( 42 ) Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 42
These, these will be the ones who denied the Truth and divided humanity. Abasa ( He frowned ) - Aya 42
