تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ ( 1 ) Al-Masad ( The Palm Fibre ) - Aya 1
Perished is the power of Abi Lahab, and perished is he! Al-Masad ( The Palm Fibre ) - Aya 1
مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَ ( 2 ) Al-Masad ( The Palm Fibre ) - Aya 2
His wealth and gains will avail him not! (69:27-28), (92:11), (96:7). Al-Masad ( The Palm Fibre ) - Aya 2
سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ ( 3 ) Al-Masad ( The Palm Fibre ) - Aya 3
He shall have to endure a fire blazing, glowing. Al-Masad ( The Palm Fibre ) - Aya 3
وَامْرَأَتُهُ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِ ( 4 ) Al-Masad ( The Palm Fibre ) - Aya 4
And his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales, the firewood hauler. Al-Masad ( The Palm Fibre ) - Aya 4
فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍ ( 5 ) Al-Masad ( The Palm Fibre ) - Aya 5
Will have her neck ornamented with a rope of palm-fiber. ((17:13). 'Jeed' = A neck decorated with an ornament). Al-Masad ( The Palm Fibre ) - Aya 5
