| 1 [2:11] | Wa-itha qeela lahum latufsidoo fee al-ardi qaloo innama nahnumuslihoona |  وإذا قيل لهم لا تفسدوا في الأرض قالوا إنما نحن مصلحونوَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لاَ تُفْسِدُواْ فِي الأَرْضِ قَالُواْ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| لا - "(Do) not| تفسدوا - spread corruption| في - in| الأرض - the earth,"| قالوا - they say,| إنما - "Only| نحن - we| مصلحون - (are) reformers."| | ||||||
| 2 [2:13] | Wa-itha qeela lahum aminoo kamaamana alnnasu qaloo anu/minu kamaamana alssufahao ala innahum humu alssufahaowalakin la yaAAlamoona | وإذا قيل لهم آمنوا كما آمن الناس قالوا أنؤمن كما آمن السفهاء ألا إنهم هم السفهاء ولكن لا يعلمون وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ آمِنُواْ كَمَا آمَنَ النَّاسُ قَالُواْ أَنُؤْمِنُ كَمَا آمَنَ السُّفَهَاءُ أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ السُّفَهَاءُ وَلَـكِن لاَّ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| آمنوا - "Believe| كما - as| آمن - believed| الناس - the people,"| قالوا - they say,| أنؤمن - "Should we believe| كما - as| آمن - believed| السفهاء - the fools?"| ألا - Beware,| إنهم - certainly they| هم - themselves| السفهاء - (are) the fools| ولكن - [and] but| لا - not| يعلمون - they know.| | ||||||
| 3 [2:14] | Wa-itha laqoo allatheena amanooqaloo amanna wa-itha khalaw ilashayateenihim qaloo inna maAAakum innamanahnu mustahzi-oona | وإذا لقوا الذين آمنوا قالوا آمنا وإذا خلوا إلى شياطينهم قالوا إنا معكم إنما نحن مستهزئون وَإِذَا لَقُواْ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ قَالُواْ آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوْا إِلَى شَيَاطِيـْنِهِمْ قَالُواْ إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُسْتَهْزِءُوْنَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| لقوا - they meet| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believe[d],| قالوا - they say,| آمنا - "We believe[d]."| وإذا - But when| خلوا - they are alone| إلى - with| شياطينهم - their evil ones,| قالوا - they say,| إنا - "Indeed, we| معكم - (are) with you,| إنما - only| نحن - we| مستهزئون - (are) mockers."| | ||||||
| 4 [2:20] | Yakadu albarqu yakhtafu absarahumkullama adaa lahum mashaw feehi wa-itha athlamaAAalayhim qamoo walaw shaa Allahu lathahababisamAAihim waabsarihim inna Allaha AAalakulli shay-in qadeerun | يكاد البرق يخطف أبصارهم كلما أضاء لهم مشوا فيه وإذا أظلم عليهم قاموا ولو شاء الله لذهب بسمعهم وأبصارهم إن الله على كل شيء قدير يَكَادُ الْبَرْقُ يَخْطَفُ أَبْصَارَهُمْ كُلَّمَا أَضَاءَ لَهُم مَّشَوْاْ فِيهِ وَإِذَا أَظْلَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ قَامُواْ وَلَوْ شَاء اللّهُ لَذَهَبَ بِسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَارِهِمْ إِنَّ اللَّه عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |يكاد - Almost| البرق - the lightning| يخطف - snatches away| أبصارهم - their sight.| كلما - Whenever| أضاء - it flashes| لهم - for them| مشوا - they walk| فيه - in it,| وإذا - and when| أظلم - it darkens| عليهم - on them| قاموا - they stand (still).| ولو - And if| شاء - had willed| الله - Allah,| لذهب - He would certainly have taken away| بسمعهم - their hearing,| وأبصارهم - and their sight.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| على - (is) on| كل - every| شيء - thing| قدير - All-Powerful.| | ||||||
| 5 [2:76] | Wa-itha laqoo allatheena amanooqaloo amanna wa-itha khalabaAAduhum ila baAAdin qaloo atuhaddithoonahumbima fataha Allahu AAalaykum liyuhajjookumbihi AAinda rabbikum afala taAAqiloona | وإذا لقوا الذين آمنوا قالوا آمنا وإذا خلا بعضهم إلى بعض قالوا أتحدثونهم بما فتح الله عليكم ليحاجوكم به عند ربكم أفلا تعقلون وَإِذَا لَقُواْ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ قَالُواْ آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلاَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ قَالُواْ أَتُحَدِّثُونَهُم بِمَا فَتَحَ اللّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ لِيُحَآجُّوكُم بِهِ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْ أَفَلاَ تَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| لقوا - they meet| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believe[d],| قالوا - they say,| آمنا - "We have believed."| وإذا - But when| خلا - meet in private| بعضهم - some of them| إلى - with| بعض - some (others),| قالوا - they say,| أتحدثونهم - "Do you tell them| بما - what| فتح - has| الله - Allah| عليكم - to you| ليحاجوكم - so that they argue with you| به - therewith| عند - before| ربكم - your Lord?| أفلا - Then do (you) not| تعقلون - understand?"| | ||||||
| 6 [2:91] | Wa-itha qeela lahum aminoo bimaanzala Allahu qaloo nu/minu bima onzilaAAalayna wayakfuroona bima waraahu wahuwa alhaqqumusaddiqan lima maAAahum qul falima taqtuloonaanbiyaa Allahi min qablu in kuntum mu/mineena | وإذا قيل لهم آمنوا بما أنزل الله قالوا نؤمن بما أنزل علينا ويكفرون بما وراءه وهو الحق مصدقا لما معهم قل فلم تقتلون أنبياء الله من قبل إن كنتم مؤمنين وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ آمِنُواْ بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ قَالُواْ نُؤْمِنُ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا وَيَكْفُرُوْنَ بِمَا وَرَاءَهُ وَهُوَ الْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقاً لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ قُلْ فَلِمَ تَقْتُلُونَ أَنْبِيَاءَ اللّهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| آمنوا - "Believe| بما - in what| أنزل - has revealed| الله - Allah,"| قالوا - they say,| نؤمن - "We believe| بما - in what| أنزل - was revealed| علينا - to us."| ويكفرون - And they disbelieve| بما - in what| وراءه - (is) besides it,| وهو - while it| الحق - (is) the truth| مصدقا - confirming| لما - what| معهم - (is) with them.| قل - Say,| فلم - "Then why| تقتلون - (did) you kill| أنبياء - (the) Prophets| الله - (of) Allah| من - from| قبل - before,| إن - if| كنتم - you were| مؤمنين - believers?"| | ||||||
| 7 [2:117] | BadeeAAu alssamawatiwaal-ardi wa-itha qada amran fa-innamayaqoolu lahu kun fayakoonu | بديع السماوات والأرض وإذا قضى أمرا فإنما يقول له كن فيكون بَدِيعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَإِذَا قَضَى أَمْراً فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ | |||||
| Words | |بديع - (The) Originator| السماوات - (of) the heavens| والأرض - and the earth!| وإذا - And when| قضى - He decrees| أمرا - a matter,| فإنما - [so] only| يقول - He says| له - to it| كن - "Be,"| فيكون - and it becomes.| | ||||||
| 8 [2:170] | Wa-itha qeela lahumu ittabiAAoo maanzala Allahu qaloo bal nattabiAAu ma alfaynaAAalayhi abaana awa law kana abaohumla yaAAqiloona shay-an wala yahtadoona | وإذا قيل لهم اتبعوا ما أنزل الله قالوا بل نتبع ما ألفينا عليه آباءنا أولو كان آباؤهم لا يعقلون شيئا ولا يهتدون وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ قَالُواْ بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئاً وَلاَ يَهْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| اتبعوا - "Follow| ما - what| أنزل - has revealed| الله - Allah,"| قالوا - they said,| بل - "Nay| نتبع - we follow| ما - what| ألفينا - we found| عليه - [on it]| آباءنا - our forefathers (following)".| أولو - Even though| كان - [were]| آباؤهم - their forefathers| لا - (did) not| يعقلون - understand| شيئا - anything| ولا - and not| يهتدون - were they guided?| | ||||||
| 9 [2:186] | Wa-itha saalaka AAibadeeAAannee fa-innee qareebun ojeebu daAAwata alddaAAiitha daAAani falyastajeeboo lee walyu/minoo beelaAAallahum yarshudoona | وإذا سألك عبادي عني فإني قريب أجيب دعوة الداع إذا دعان فليستجيبوا لي وليؤمنوا بي لعلهم يرشدون وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُواْ لِي وَلْيُؤْمِنُواْ بِي لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| سألك - ask you| عبادي - My servants| عني - about Me,| فإني - then indeed I am| قريب - near.| أجيب - I respond| دعوة - (to the) invocation| الداع - (of) the supplicant| إذا - when| دعان - he calls Me.| فليستجيبوا - So let them respond| لي - to Me| وليؤمنوا - and let them believe| بي - in Me,| لعلهم - so that they may| يرشدون - (be) led aright.| | ||||||
| 10 [2:205] | Wa-itha tawalla saAAafee al-ardi liyufsida feeha wayuhlika alharthawaalnnasla waAllahu la yuhibbualfasada | وإذا تولى سعى في الأرض ليفسد فيها ويهلك الحرث والنسل والله لا يحب الفساد وَإِذَا تَوَلَّى سَعَى فِي الْأَرْضِ لِيُفْسِدَ فِيهَا وَيُهْلِكَ الْحَرْثَ وَالنَّسْلَ وَاللّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الفَسَادَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| تولى - he turns away| سعى - he strives| في - in| الأرض - the earth| ليفسد - to spread corruption| فيها - [in it],| ويهلك - and destroys| الحرث - the crops| والنسل - and progeny.| والله - And Allah| لا - (does) not| يحب - love| الفساد - [the] corruption.| | ||||||
| 11 [2:206] | Wa-itha qeela lahu ittaqi Allahaakhathat-hu alAAizzatu bial-ithmi fahasbuhujahannamu walabi/sa almihadu | وإذا قيل له اتق الله أخذته العزة بالإثم فحسبه جهنم ولبئس المهاد وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُ اتَّقِ اللّهَ أَخَذَتْهُ الْعِزَّةُ بِالْإِثْمِ فَحَسْبُهُ جَهَنَّمُ وَلَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| له - to him| اتق - "Fear| الله - Allah,"| أخذته - takes him| العزة - (his) pride| بالإثم - to [the] sins.| فحسبه - Then enough for him| جهنم - (is) Hell -| ولبئس - [and] surely an evil| المهاد - [the] resting-place.| | ||||||
| 12 [2:231] | Wa-itha tallaqtumu alnnisaafabalaghna ajalahunna faamsikoohunna bimaAAroofin aw sarrihoohunnabimaAAroofin wala tumsikoohunna diraranlitaAAtadoo waman yafAAal thalika faqad thalamanafsahu wala tattakhithoo ayati Allahihuzuwan waothkuroo niAAmata Allahi AAalaykumwama anzala AAalaykum mina alkitabi waalhikmatiyaAAithukum bihi waittaqoo Allaha waiAAlamooanna Allaha bikulli shay-in AAaleemun | وإذا طلقتم النساء فبلغن أجلهن فأمسكوهن بمعروف أو سرحوهن بمعروف ولا تمسكوهن ضرارا لتعتدوا ومن يفعل ذلك فقد ظلم نفسه ولا تتخذوا آيات الله هزوا واذكروا نعمت الله عليكم وما أنزل عليكم من الكتاب والحكمة يعظكم به واتقوا الله واعلموا أن الله بكل شيء عليم وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ سَرِّحُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَلاَ تُمْسِكُوهُنَّ ضِرَارًا لَّتَعْتَدُواْ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ فَقَدْ ظَلَمَ نَفْسَهُ وَلاَ تَتَّخِذُواْ آيَاتِ اللّهِ هُزُوًا وَاذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَتَ اللّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمَا أَنزَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِّنَ الْكِتَابِ وَالْحِكْمَةِ يَعِظُكُم بِهِ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| طلقتم - you divorce| النساء - the women| فبلغن - and they reach| أجلهن - their (waiting) term,| فأمسكوهن - then retain them| بمعروف - in a fair manner| أو - or| سرحوهن - release them| بمعروف - in a fair manner.| ولا - And (do) not| تمسكوهن - retain them| ضرارا - (to) hurt| لتعتدوا - so that you transgress.| ومن - And whoever| يفعل - does| ذلك - that,| فقد - then indeed,| ظلم - he wronged| نفسه - himself.| ولا - And (do) not| تتخذوا - take| آيات - (the) Verses| الله - (of) Allah| هزوا - (in) jest,| واذكروا - and remember| نعمت - (the) Favors| الله - (of) Allah| عليكم - upon you| وما - and what| أنزل - (is) revealed| عليكم - to you| من - of| الكتاب - the Book| والحكمة - and [the] wisdom;| يعظكم - He instructs you| به - with it.| واتقوا - And fear| الله - Allah| واعلموا - and know| أن - that| الله - Allah (is)| بكل - of every| شيء - thing| عليم - All-Knower.| | ||||||
| 13 [2:232] | Wa-itha tallaqtumu alnnisaafabalaghna ajalahunna fala taAAduloohunna an yankihnaazwajahunna itha taradaw baynahum bialmaAAroofithalika yooAAathu bihi man kanaminkum yu/minu biAllahi waalyawmi al-akhirithalikum azka lakum waatharu waAllahuyaAAlamu waantum la taAAlamoona | وإذا طلقتم النساء فبلغن أجلهن فلا تعضلوهن أن ينكحن أزواجهن إذا تراضوا بينهم بالمعروف ذلك يوعظ به من كان منكم يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر ذلكم أزكى لكم وأطهر والله يعلم وأنتم لا تعلمون وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلاَ تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ أَن يَنكِحْنَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ إِذَا تَرَاضَوْاْ بَيْنَهُم بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ذَلِكَ يُوعَظُ بِهِ مَن كَانَ مِنكُمْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ذَلِكُمْ أَزْكَى لَكُمْ وَأَطْهَرُ وَاللّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| طلقتم - you divorce| النساء - [the] women| فبلغن - and they reached| أجلهن - their (waiting) term,| فلا - then (do) not| تعضلوهن - hinder them| أن - [that]| ينكحن - (from) marrying| أزواجهن - their husbands| إذا - when| تراضوا - they agree| بينهم - between themselves| بالمعروف - in a fair manner.| ذلك - That| يوعظ - is admonished| به - with it| من - whoever| كان - [is]| منكم - among you| يؤمن - believes| بالله - in Allah| واليوم - and the Day| الآخر - [the] Last;| ذلكم - that| أزكى - (is) more virtuous| لكم - for you| وأطهر - and more purer.| والله - And Allah| يعلم - knows| وأنتم - and you| لا - (do) not| تعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 14 [3:119] | Ha antum ola-i tuhibboonahumwala yuhibboonakum watu/minoona bialkitabikullihi wa-itha laqookum qaloo amannawa-itha khalaw AAaddoo AAalaykumu al-anamilamina alghaythi qul mootoo bighaythikuminna Allaha AAaleemun bithati alssudoori | ها أنتم أولاء تحبونهم ولا يحبونكم وتؤمنون بالكتاب كله وإذا لقوكم قالوا آمنا وإذا خلوا عضوا عليكم الأنامل من الغيظ قل موتوا بغيظكم إن الله عليم بذات الصدور هَاأَنتُمْ أُوْلاَءِ تُحِبُّونَهُمْ وَلاَ يُحِبُّونَكُمْ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْكِتَابِ كُلِّهِ وَإِذَا لَقُوكُمْ قَالُواْ آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوْاْ عَضُّواْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْأَنَامِلَ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ قُلْ مُوتُواْ بِغَيْظِكُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ | |||||
| Words | |ها - Here| أنتم - You are| أولاء - those,| تحبونهم - you love them| ولا - but not| يحبونكم - they love you| وتؤمنون - and you believe| بالكتاب - in the Book -| كله - all of it.| وإذا - And when| لقوكم - they meet you| قالوا - they say,| آمنا - "We believe."| وإذا - And when| خلوا - they are alone| عضوا - they bite| عليكم - at you| الأنامل - the finger tips| من - (out) of| الغيظ - [the] rage.| قل - Say,| موتوا - "Die| بغيظكم - in your rage.| إن - Indeed.| الله - Allah| عليم - (is) All-Knowing| بذات - of what| الصدور - (is in) the breasts."| | ||||||
| 15 [4:8] | Wa-itha hadara alqismataoloo alqurba waalyatama waalmasakeenufaorzuqoohum minhu waqooloo lahum qawlan maAAroofan | وإذا حضر القسمة أولو القربى واليتامى والمساكين فارزقوهم منه وقولوا لهم قولا معروفا وَإِذَا حَضَرَ الْقِسْمَةَ أُوْلُواْ الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينُ فَارْزُقُوهُم مِّنْهُ وَقُولُواْ لَهُمْ قَوْلاً مَّعْرُوفًا | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| حضر - present| القسمة - (at) the (time of) division| أولو - (of)| القربى - the relatives| واليتامى - and the orphans| والمساكين - and the poor,| فارزقوهم - then provide them| منه - from it| وقولوا - and speak| لهم - to them| قولا - words| معروفا - (of) kindness.| | ||||||
| 16 [4:58] | Inna Allaha ya/murukum an tu-addooal-amanati ila ahliha wa-itha hakamtumbayna alnnasi an tahkumoo bialAAadliinna Allaha niAAimma yaAAithukum bihiinna Allaha kana sameeAAan baseeran | إن الله يأمركم أن تؤدوا الأمانات إلى أهلها وإذا حكمتم بين الناس أن تحكموا بالعدل إن الله نعما يعظكم به إن الله كان سميعا بصيرا إِنَّ اللّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَن تُؤَدُّواْ الْأَمَانَاتِ إِلَى أَهْلِهَا وَإِذَا حَكَمْتُم بَيْنَ النَّاسِ أَن تَحْكُمُواْ بِالْعَدْلِ إِنَّ اللّهَ نِعِمَّا يَعِظُكُم بِهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| يأمركم - orders you| أن - to| تؤدوا - render| الأمانات - the trusts| إلى - to| أهلها - their owners,| وإذا - and when| حكمتم - you judge| بين - between| الناس - the people| أن - to| تحكموا - judge| بالعدل - with justice.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| نعما - excellently| يعظكم - advises you| به - with it.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| كان - is| سميعا - All-Hearing,| بصيرا - All-Seeing.| | ||||||
| 17 [4:61] | Wa-itha qeela lahum taAAalawila ma anzala Allahu wa-ila alrrasooliraayta almunafiqeena yasuddoona AAanka sudoodan | وإذا قيل لهم تعالوا إلى ما أنزل الله وإلى الرسول رأيت المنافقين يصدون عنك صدودا وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْاْ إِلَى مَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ وَإِلَى الرَّسُولِ رَأَيْتَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ يَصُدُّونَ عَنكَ صُدُودًا | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| تعالوا - "Come| إلى - to| ما - what| أنزل - (has) revealed| الله - Allah| وإلى - and to| الرسول - the Messenger,"| رأيت - you see| المنافقين - the hypocrites| يصدون - turning away| عنك - from you| صدودا - (in) aversion.| | ||||||
| 18 [4:67] | Wa-ithan laataynahummin ladunna ajran AAatheeman | وإذا لآتيناهم من لدنا أجرا عظيما وَإِذاً لَّآتَيْنَاهُم مِّن لَّدُنَّـا أَجْراً عَظِيمًا | |||||

| 19 [4:83] | Wa-itha jaahum amrun minaal-amni awi alkhawfi athaAAoo bihi walaw raddoohu ilaalrrasooli wa-ila olee al-amri minhum laAAalimahuallatheena yastanbitoonahu minhum walawla fadluAllahi AAalaykum warahmatuhu laittabaAAtumualshshaytana illa qaleelan | وإذا جاءهم أمر من الأمن أو الخوف أذاعوا به ولو ردوه إلى الرسول وإلى أولي الأمر منهم لعلمه الذين يستنبطونه منهم ولولا فضل الله عليكم ورحمته لاتبعتم الشيطان إلا قليلا وَإِذَا جَاءَهُمْ أَمْرٌ مِّنَ الْأَمْنِ أَوِ الْخَوْفِ أَذَاعُواْ بِهِ وَلَوْ رَدُّوهُ إِلَى الرَّسُولِ وَإِلَى أُوْلِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْهُمْ لَعَلِمَهُ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَنبِطُونَهُ مِنْهُمْ وَلَوْلاَ فَضْلُ اللّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ لاَتَّبَعْتُمُ الشَّيْطَانَ إِلاَّ قَلِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| جاءهم - comes to them| أمر - a matter| من - of| الأمن - the security| أو - or| الخوف - [the] fear| أذاعوا - they spread| به - [with] it.| ولو - But if| ردوه - they (had) referred it| إلى - to| الرسول - the Messenger| وإلى - and to| أولي - those| الأمر - (having) authority| منهم - among them,| لعلمه - surely would have known it| الذين - those who| يستنبطونه - draw correct conclusion (from) it| منهم - among them.| ولولا - And if not| فضل - (had been the) bounty| الله - (of) Allah| عليكم - on you| ورحمته - and His Mercy,| لاتبعتم - surely you (would have) followed| الشيطان - the Shaitaan| إلا - except| قليلا - a few.| | ||||||
| 20 [4:86] | Wa-itha huyyeetum bitahiyyatinfahayyoo bi-ahsana minha aw ruddoohainna Allaha kana AAala kulli shay-in haseeban | وإذا حييتم بتحية فحيوا بأحسن منها أو ردوها إن الله كان على كل شيء حسيبا وَإِذَا حُيِّيْتُم بِتَحِيَّةٍ فَحَيُّواْ بِأَحْسَنَ مِنْهَا أَوْ رُدُّوهَا إِنَّ اللّهَ كَانَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَسِيبًا | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| حييتم - you are greeted| بتحية - with a greeting,| فحيوا - then greet| بأحسن - with better| منها - than it| أو - or| ردوها - return it.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| كان - is| على - of| كل - every| شيء - thing| حسيبا - an Accountant.| | ||||||
