| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[2:13] | Wa-itha qeela lahum aminoo kamaamana alnnasu qaloo anu/minu kamaamana alssufahao ala innahum humu alssufahaowalakin la yaAAlamoona
|  وإذا قيل لهم آمنوا كما آمن الناس قالوا أنؤمن كما آمن السفهاء ألا إنهم هم السفهاء ولكن لا يعلمون
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ آمِنُواْ كَمَا آمَنَ النَّاسُ قَالُواْ أَنُؤْمِنُ كَمَا آمَنَ السُّفَهَاءُ أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ السُّفَهَاءُ وَلَـكِن لاَّ يَعْلَمُونَ |
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| آمنوا - "Believe| كما - as| آمن - believed| الناس - the people,"| قالوا - they say,| أنؤمن - "Should we believe| كما - as| آمن - believed| السفهاء - the fools?"| ألا - Beware,| إنهم - certainly they| هم - themselves| السفهاء - (are) the fools| ولكن - [and] but| لا - not| يعلمون - they know.| |

| ለነሱም «ሰዎቹ እንዳመኑ እመኑ» በተባሉ ጊዜ «ቂሎቹ እንዳመኑ እናምናለን?» ይላሉ፡፡ አዋጅ ንቁ እነርሱ ቂሎቹ እነርሱው ናቸው፤ ግን አያውቁም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وإذا قيل لهم آمنوا كما آمن الناس } أصحاب النبي { قالوا أنؤمن كما آمن السفهاء } الجهال أي لا نفعل كفعلهم. قال تعالى ردا َعليهم: { ألا إنهم هم السفهاء ولكن لا يعلمون } ذلك. |
| Ma nnan asen: "amnet, akken umnen medden"! A d inin: "day a namen, akken umnen ije$lufen"? Day maççi d nitni, s tidep, ay d ije$lufen, maca ur éôin. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয়, অন্যান্যরা যেভাবে ঈমান এনেছে তোমরাও সেভাবে ঈমান আন, তখন তারা বলে, আমরাও কি ঈমান আনব বোকাদেরই মত! মনে রেখো, প্রকৃতপক্ষে তারাই বোকা, কিন্তু তারা তা বোঝে না। |
| Literal | And if (it was/is) said to them: "Believe as the people believed." They said: "Do we believe as the ignorant/foolish believed?" Is it not that they truly are, they are the ignorant/foolish and but they do not know? |
| Yusuf Ali | When it is said to them: "Believe as the others believe:" They say: "Shall we believe as the fools believe?" Nay, of a surety they are the fools, but they do not know. |
| Pickthal | And when it is said unto them: believe as the people believe, they say: shall we believe as the foolish believe? are not they indeed the foolish? But they know not. |

| Go amay ka pitharo kiran a: "Paratiyaya kano sa lagid o kiyaparatiyaya o (sabaad ko) manga manosiya:" na tharoon iran a: "Ino kami pharatiyaya sa lagid o kiyaparatiyaya o manga lalong!" – tanodan, ka mataan! a siran i manga lalong, na ogaid na di iran katawan. |
