بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [2:232] | Wa-itha tallaqtumu alnnisaafabalaghna ajalahunna fala taAAduloohunna an yankihnaazwajahunna itha taradaw baynahum bialmaAAroofithalika yooAAathu bihi man kanaminkum yu/minu biAllahi waalyawmi al-akhirithalikum azka lakum waatharu waAllahuyaAAlamu waantum la taAAlamoona
| وإذا طلقتم النساء فبلغن أجلهن فلا تعضلوهن أن ينكحن أزواجهن إذا تراضوا بينهم بالمعروف ذلك يوعظ به من كان منكم يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر ذلكم أزكى لكم وأطهر والله يعلم وأنتم لا تعلمون وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلاَ تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ أَن يَنكِحْنَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ إِذَا تَرَاضَوْاْ بَيْنَهُم بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ذَلِكَ يُوعَظُ بِهِ مَن كَانَ مِنكُمْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ذَلِكُمْ أَزْكَى لَكُمْ وَأَطْهَرُ وَاللّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ |
Words | |وإذا - And when| طلقتم - you divorce| النساء - [the] women| فبلغن - and they reached| أجلهن - their (waiting) term,| فلا - then (do) not| تعضلوهن - hinder them| أن - [that]| ينكحن - (from) marrying| أزواجهن - their husbands| إذا - when| تراضوا - they agree| بينهم - between themselves| بالمعروف - in a fair manner.| ذلك - That| يوعظ - is admonished| به - with it| من - whoever| كان - [is]| منكم - among you| يؤمن - believes| بالله - in Allah| واليوم - and the Day| الآخر - [the] Last;| ذلكم - that| أزكى - (is) more virtuous| لكم - for you| وأطهر - and more purer.| والله - And Allah| يعلم - knows| وأنتم - and you| لا - (do) not| تعلمون - know.| |

| ሴቶችንም በፈታችሁና ጊዜያቸውን በደረሱ ጊዜ በመካከላቸው በሕግ በተዋደዱ ጊዜ ባሎቻቸውን ከማግባት አታስተጓጉሏቸው፡፡ ይህ (መከልከል) ከእናንተ በአላህና በመጨረሻው ቀን የሚያምን ሰው በርሱ ይገሰጽበታል፡፡ ይህ ሁኔታችሁ ለእናንተ በላጭ ነው፤ (ከመጠርጠር) አጥሪም ነው፡፡ አላህም ያውቃል፤ እናንተ ግን አታውቁም፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { وإذا طلقتم النساء فبلغن أجلهن } انقضت عدتهن { فلا تعضلوهن } خطاب للأولياء أي تمنعوهن من { أن ينكحن أزواجهن } المطلقين لهن لأن سبب نزولها أن أخت معقل بن يسار طلقها زوجها فأراد أن يراجعها فمنعها معقل بن يسار كما رواه الحاكم { إذا تراضوا } أي الأزواج والنساء { بينهم بالمعروف } شرعا { ذلك } النهي عن العضل { يوعظ به من كان منكم يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر } لأنه المنتفع به { ذلكم } أي ترك العضل { أزكى } خير { لكم وأطهر } لكم ولهم لما يُخشى على الزوجين من الريبة بسبب العلاقة بينهما { والله يعلم } ما فيه المصلحة { وأنتم لا تعلمون } ذلك فاتَّبعوا أوامره . |
| Ma tebram i tlawin, u sâaddant tallit nnsent, ur asent tekset ad a$ent irgazen nnsent, ma mwafaqen s lqanun. Ar waya ay pwanecden wid, segwen, iumnen s Öebbi, akked wass aneggaru. Ppif akka, i tezdeg akked ûûfawa nnwen. Öebbi Issen, kunwi ur tessinem. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর যখন তোমরা স্ত্রীদেরকে তালাক দিয়ে দাও এবং তারপর তারাও নির্ধারিত ইদ্দত পূর্ন করতে থাকে, তখন তাদেরকে পূর্ব স্বামীদের সাথে পারস্পরিক সম্মতির ভিত্তিতে নিয়মানুযায়ী বিয়ে করতে বাধাদান করো না। এ উপদেশ তাকেই দেয়া হচ্ছে, যে আল্লাহ ও কেয়ামত দিনের উপর বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছে। এর মধ্যে তোমাদের জন্য রয়েছে একান্ত পরিশুদ্ধতা ও অনেক পবিত্রতা। আর আল্লাহ জানেন, তোমরা জান না। |
Literal | And if you divorced the women, so they reached their term/time , so do not confine/prevent/oppress them (F) that they marry their husbands/spouses, if they mutually agreed/accepted between them with the kindness/generosity , that is being advised/warned with it who was from you believing with God and the Day the Last/Resurrection Day, (and) that (is) more correct/commendable to you, and purer ,and God knows and you do not know. |
Yusuf Ali | When ye divorce women, and they fulfil the term of their ('Iddat), do not prevent them from marrying their (former) husbands, if they mutually agree on equitable terms. This instruction is for all amongst you, who believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is (the course Making for) most virtue and purity amongst you and Allah knows, and ye know not. |
Pickthal | And when ye have divorced women and they reach their term, place not difficulties in the way of their marrying their husbands if it is agreed between them in kindness. This is an admonition for him among you who believeth in Allah and the Last Day. That is more virtuous for you, and cleaner. Allah knoweth; ye know not. |
Arberry | When you divorce women, and they have reached their term, do not debar them from marrying their husbands, when they have agreed together honourably. That is an admonition for whoso of you believes in God and the Last Day; that is cleaner and purer for you; God knows, and you know not. |
Shakir | And when you have divorced women and they have ended-- their term (of waiting), then do not prevent them from marrying their husbands when they agree among themselves in a lawful manner; with this is admonished he among you who believes in Allah and the last day, this is more profitable and purer for you; and Allah knows while you do not know. |
Sarwar | When the waiting period of the divorced women has ended, you (her relatives) must not prevent them from marrying their (previous) husbands again if they might reach an honorable agreement. This is an advice for those of you who believe in God and the Day of Judgment. It is the most beneficial and pure way of treating each other. God knows but you do not know. |
H/K/Saheeh | And when you divorce women and they have fulfilled their term, do not prevent them from remarrying their [former] husbands if they agree among themselves on an acceptable basis. That is instructed to whoever of you believes in Allah and the Last Day. That is better for you and purer, and Allah knows and you know not. |
Malik | When you have divorced women and they have reached the end of their waiting period do not prevent them from marrying their prospective husbands if they have come to an honorable agreement. This is enjoined on everyone amongst you who believes in Allah and the Last Day. This is more virtuous and chaste for you; Allah knows what you do not know.[232] |
Maulana Ali** | And when you divorce women and they end their term, prevent them not from marrying their husbands if they agree among themselves in a lawful manner. George Sale | But when ye have divorced your wives, and they have fulfilled their prescribed time, hinder them not from marrying their husbands, when they have agreed among themselves according to what is honourable. This is given in admonition unto him among you who believeth in God, and the last day. This is most righteous for you, and most pure. God knoweth, but ye know not. |

QXP Shabbir Ahemd** | And when you have divorced women, and they have completed their waiting period, people in the society shall not place difficulties if both of them wish to remarry each other in kindness. And they shall not place difficulties if the woman decides to marry a different husband with their mutual agreement. This instruction is for all among you who believe in Allah and the Last Day. Following the Commands helps you develop your personality and stay clear of vice. Allah knows, you know not. |

Shabbir Ahmed | اور جب طلاق دے دو تم عورتوں کو پھر پوری کرلیں وہ اپنی عدت تو مت روکو انہیں اس سے کہ نکاح کرلیں وہ اپنے (سابقہ یا دوسرے) شوہروں سے جبکہ راضی ہوں وہ دونوں باہم (نکاح کرنے پر) جائز طریقے سے اس حکم کے ذریعہ سے نصیت کی جاتی ہے اس کو جو رکھتا ہے تم میں سے ایمان اللہ پر اور روز آخرت پر۔ یہی طریقہ ہے نہایت شائستہ تمہارے لیے اور پاکیزہ۔ اور اللہ جانتا ہے اور تم نہیں جانتے۔ |
Fateh Muhammad Jalandhary | اور جب تم عورتوں کو طلاق دے چکو اور ان کی عدت پوری ہوجائے تو ان کو دوسرے شوہروں کے ساتھ جب وہ آپس میں جائز طور پر راضی ہوجائیں نکاح کرنے سے مت روکو۔ اس (حکم) سے اس شخص کو نصیحت کی جاتی ہے جو تم میں خدا اور روز آخرت پر یقین رکھتا ہے۔ یہ تمہارے لئے نہایت خوب اور بہت پاکیزگی کی بات ہے اور خدا جانتا ہے اور تم نہیں جانتے |

Abul Ala Maududi | جب تم اپنی عورتوں کو طلاق دے چکو اور وہ اپنی عدت پوری کر لیں، تو پھر اس میں مانع نہ ہو کہ وہ اپنے زیر تجویز شوہروں سے نکاح کر لیں، جب کہ وہ معروف طریقے سے باہم مناکحت پر راضی ہوں تمہیں نصیحت کی جاتی ہے کہ ایسی حرکت ہرگز نہ کرنا، اگر تم اللہ اور روز آخر پر ایمان لانے والے ہو تمہارے لیے شائستہ اور پاکیزہ طریقہ یہی ہے کہ اس سے باز رہو اللہ جانتا ہے، تم نہیں جانتے |
