| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[2:91] | Wa-itha qeela lahum aminoo bimaanzala Allahu qaloo nu/minu bima onzilaAAalayna wayakfuroona bima waraahu wahuwa alhaqqumusaddiqan lima maAAahum qul falima taqtuloonaanbiyaa Allahi min qablu in kuntum mu/mineena
|  وإذا قيل لهم آمنوا بما أنزل الله قالوا نؤمن بما أنزل علينا ويكفرون بما وراءه وهو الحق مصدقا لما معهم قل فلم تقتلون أنبياء الله من قبل إن كنتم مؤمنين
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ آمِنُواْ بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ قَالُواْ نُؤْمِنُ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا وَيَكْفُرُوْنَ بِمَا وَرَاءَهُ وَهُوَ الْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقاً لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ قُلْ فَلِمَ تَقْتُلُونَ أَنْبِيَاءَ اللّهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِينَ |
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| آمنوا - "Believe| بما - in what| أنزل - has revealed| الله - Allah,"| قالوا - they say,| نؤمن - "We believe| بما - in what| أنزل - was revealed| علينا - to us."| ويكفرون - And they disbelieve| بما - in what| وراءه - (is) besides it,| وهو - while it| الحق - (is) the truth| مصدقا - confirming| لما - what| معهم - (is) with them.| قل - Say,| فلم - "Then why| تقتلون - (did) you kill| أنبياء - (the) Prophets| الله - (of) Allah| من - from| قبل - before,| إن - if| كنتم - you were| مؤمنين - believers?"| |

| አላህም ባወረደው (ሁሉ) ለእነርሱ «እመኑ» በተባሉ ጊዜ «በኛ ላይ በተወረደው (መጽሐፍ ብቻ) እናምናለን» ይላሉ፡፡ ከርሱ ኋላ ባለው (ቁርአን) እርሱ ከነሱ ጋር ላለው (መጽሐፍ) አረጋጋጭ እውተኛ ሲኾን ይክዳሉ፡፡ «አማኞች ከኾናችሁ ከአሁን በፊት የአላህን ነቢያት ለምን ገደላችሁ?» በላቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وإذا قيل لهم آمِنوا بما أنزل الله } القرآن وغيره { قالوا نؤمن بما أنزل علينا } أي التوراة قال تعالى: { ويكفرون } الواو للحال { بما وراءه } سواه أو بعده من القرآن { وهو الحق } حال { مصدقاً } حال ثانية مؤكدة { لما معهم قل } لهم { فلم تقتلون } أي قتلتم { أنبياء الله من قبل إن كنتم مؤمنين } بالتوراة وقد نهيتم فيها عن قتلهم والخطاب للموجودين في زمن نبينا بما فعل آباؤهم لرضاهم به . |
| Ma nnan asen: "amnet s wayen id Issers Öebbi"! A d inin: "numen s wayen id irsen $uône$". Nekôen ayen i t id itebâan, u neppa d tidep, d atebbet n wayen illan $uôsen. Ini: "acimi tneqqem lambiyya n Öebbi, zik, ma d lmumnin ay tellam"? |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয়, আল্লাহ যা পাঠিয়েছেন তা মেনে নাও, তখন তারা বলে, আমরা মানি যা আমাদের প্রতি অবর্তীণ হয়েছে। সেটি ছাড়া সবগুলোকে তারা অস্বীকার করে। অথচ এ গ্রন্থটি সত্য এবং সত্যায়ন করে ঐ গ্রন্থের যা তাদের কাছে রয়েছে। বলে দিন, তবে তোমরা ইতিপূর্বে পয়গম্বরদের হত্যা করতে কেন যদি তোমরা বিশ্বাসী ছিলে? |
| Literal | And if it was/is said to them: "Believe with what God descended." They said: "We believe with what is descended on us and they disbelieve with what is behind/beyond it, and it is the truth confirming to what (is) with them." Say: "So why do you kill God's prophets from before, if you were believing?" |
| Yusuf Ali | When it is said to them, "Believe in what Allah Hath sent down, "they say, "We believe in what was sent down to us:" yet they reject all besides, even if it be Truth confirming what is with them. Say: "Why then have ye slain the prophets of Allah in times gone by, if ye did indeed believe?" |

(Muhammad) ask them, "Why did you murder God's Prophets if you were true believers?" |

| Fateh Muhammad Jalandhary | اور جب ان سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ جو (کتاب) خدا نے (اب) نازل فرمائی ہے، اس کو مانو۔ تو کہتے ہیں کہ جو کتاب ہم پر (پہلے) نازل ہو چکی ہے، ہم تو اسی کو مانتے ہیں۔ (یعنی) یہ اس کے سوا کسی اور (کتاب) کو نہیں مانتے، حالانکہ وہ (سراسر) سچی ہے اور جو ان کی (آسمانی) کتاب ہے، اس کی بھی تصدیق کرتی ہے۔ (ان سے) کہہ دو کہ اگر تم صاحبِ ایمان ہوتے تو الله کے پیغمبروں کو پہلے ہی کیوں قتل کیا کرتے |

| Abul Ala Maududi | جب اُن سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ جو کچھ اللہ نے نازل کیا ہے اس پر ایمان لاؤ، تو وہ کہتے ہیں "ہم تو صرف اُس چیز پر ایمان لاتے ہیں، جو ہمارے ہاں (یعنی نسل اسرائیل) میں اتری ہے" اس دائرے کے باہر جو کچھ آیا ہے، اسے ماننے سے وہ انکار کرتے ہیں، حالانکہ وہ حق ہے اور اُس تعلیم کی تصدیق و تائید کر رہا ہے جو ان کے ہاں پہلے سے موجود تھی اچھا، ان سے کہو: اگر تم اس تعلیم ہی پر ایمان رکھنے والے ہو جو تمہارے ہاں آئی تھی، تو اس سے پہلے اللہ کے اُن پیغمبروں کو (جو خود بنی اسرائیل میں پیدا ہوئے تھے) کیوں قتل کرتے رہے؟ |
