| 1 [2:19] | Aw kasayyibin mina alssama-ifeehi thulumatun waraAAdun wabarqunyajAAaloona asabiAAahum fee athanihim mina alssawaAAiqihathara almawti waAllahu muheetunbialkafireena |  أو كصيب من السماء فيه ظلمات ورعد وبرق يجعلون أصابعهم في آذانهم من الصواعق حذر الموت والله محيط بالكافرينأَوْ كَصَيِّبٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ فِيهِ ظُلُمَاتٌ وَّرَعْدٌ وَّبَرْقٌ يَجْعَلُونَ أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِم مِّنَ الصَّوَاعِقِ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِ وَاللّهُ مُحِيطٌ بِالْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |أو - Or| كصيب - like a rainstorm| من - from| السماء - the sky| فيه - in it (are)| ظلمات - darkness[es],| ورعد - and thunder,| وبرق - and lightning.| يجعلون - They put| أصابعهم - their fingers| في - in| آذانهم - their ears| من - from| الصواعق - the thunderclaps| حذر - (in) fear (of)| الموت - [the] death.| والله - And Allah| محيط - (is) [the One Who] encompasses| بالكافرين - the disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:94] | Qul in kanat lakumu alddarual-akhiratu AAinda Allahi khalisatanmin dooni alnnasi fatamannawoo almawta in kuntum sadiqeena | قل إن كانت لكم الدار الآخرة عند الله خالصة من دون الناس فتمنوا الموت إن كنتم صادقين قُلْ إِنْ كَانَتْ لَكُمُ الدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ عِنْدَ اللّهِ خَالِصَةً مِّنْ دُونِ النَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُاْ الْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||

| 3 [2:133] | Am kuntum shuhadaa ith hadarayaAAqooba almawtu ith qala libaneehi mataAAbudoona min baAAdee qaloo naAAbudu ilahakawa-ilaha aba-ika ibraheema wa-ismaAAeelawa-ishaqa ilahan wahidan wanahnu lahumuslimoona | أم كنتم شهداء إذ حضر يعقوب الموت إذ قال لبنيه ما تعبدون من بعدي قالوا نعبد إلهك وإله آبائك إبراهيم وإسماعيل وإسحاق إلها واحدا ونحن له مسلمون أَمْ كُنتُمْ شُهَدَاءَ إِذْ حَضَرَ يَعْقُوبَ الْمَوْتُ إِذْ قَالَ لِبَنِيهِ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن بَعْدِي قَالُواْ نَعْبُدُ إِلَـهَكَ وَإِلَـهَ آبَائِكَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَقَ إِلَـهًا وَاحِدًا وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ | |||||

| 4 [2:180] | Kutiba AAalaykum itha hadaraahadakumu almawtu in taraka khayran alwasiyyatulilwalidayni waal-aqrabeena bialmaAAroofi haqqanAAala almuttaqeena | كتب عليكم إذا حضر أحدكم الموت إن ترك خيرا الوصية للوالدين والأقربين بالمعروف حقا على المتقين كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ إِن تَرَكَ خَيْرًا الْوَصِيَّةُ لِلْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالْأقْرَبِينَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ حَقًّا عَلَى الْمُتَّقِينَ | |||||

| 5 [2:243] | Alam tara ila allatheenakharajoo min diyarihim wahum oloofun hatharaalmawti faqala lahumu Allahu mootoo thumma ahyahuminna Allaha lathoo fadlin AAala alnnasiwalakinna akthara alnnasi layashkuroona | ألم تر إلى الذين خرجوا من ديارهم وهم ألوف حذر الموت فقال لهم الله موتوا ثم أحياهم إن الله لذو فضل على الناس ولكن أكثر الناس لا يشكرون أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ خَرَجُواْ مِن دِيَارِهِمْ وَهُمْ أُلُوفٌ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِ فَقَالَ لَهُمُ اللّهُ مُوتُواْ ثُمَّ أَحْيَاهُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَشْكُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ألم - Did not| تر - you see| إلى - [to]| الذين - those who| خرجوا - went out| من - from| ديارهم - their homes| وهم - and they| ألوف - (were in) thousands| حذر - (in) fear| الموت - (of) [the] death?| فقال - Then said| لهم - to them| الله - Allah,| موتوا - "Die;"| ثم - then| أحياهم - He restored them to life.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| لذو - (is) surely Possessor| فضل - (of) bounty| على - for| الناس - [the] mankind| ولكن - [and] but| أكثر - most| الناس - (of) the people| لا - (are) not| يشكرون - grateful.| | ||||||
| 6 [3:143] | Walaqad kuntum tamannawna almawta min qablian talqawhu faqad raaytumoohu waantum tanthuroona | ولقد كنتم تمنون الموت من قبل أن تلقوه فقد رأيتموه وأنتم تنظرون وَلَقَدْ كُنتُمْ تَمَنَّوْنَ الْمَوْتَ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَلْقَوْهُ فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُمُوهُ وَأَنتُمْ تَنظُرُونَ | |||||

| 7 [3:168] | Allatheena qaloo li-ikhwanihimwaqaAAadoo law ataAAoona ma qutiloo qul faidraooAAan anfusikumu almawta in kuntum sadiqeena | الذين قالوا لإخوانهم وقعدوا لو أطاعونا ما قتلوا قل فادرءوا عن أنفسكم الموت إن كنتم صادقين الَّذِينَ قَالُواْ لِإِخْوَانِهِمْ وَقَعَدُواْ لَوْ أَطَاعُونَا مَا قُتِلُوا قُلْ فَادْرَؤُوا عَنْ أَنفُسِكُمُ الْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |الذين - Those who| قالوا - said| لإخوانهم - about their brothers| وقعدوا - while they sat,| لو - "If| أطاعونا - they (had) obeyed us| ما - not| قتلوا - they would have been killed."| قل - Say,| فادرءوا - "Then avert| عن - from| أنفسكم - yourselves| الموت - [the] death| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful.| | ||||||
| 8 [3:185] | Kullu nafsin tha-iqatu almawtiwa-innama tuwaffawna ojoorakum yawma alqiyamatifaman zuhziha AAani alnnari waodkhilaaljannata faqad faza wama alhayatu alddunyailla mataAAu alghuroori | كل نفس ذائقة الموت وإنما توفون أجوركم يوم القيامة فمن زحزح عن النار وأدخل الجنة فقد فاز وما الحياة الدنيا إلا متاع الغرور كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَآئِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ وَإِنَّمَا تُوَفَّوْنَ أُجُورَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَمَن زُحْزِحَ عَنِ النَّارِ وَأُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ فَقَدْ فَازَ وَما الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلاَّ مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ | |||||
| Words | |كل - Every| نفس - soul| ذائقة - (will) taste| الموت - [the] death,| وإنما - and only| توفون - you will be paid in full| أجوركم - your reward| يوم - (on the) Day| القيامة - (of) [the] Resurrection.| فمن - Then whoever| زحزح - is drawn away| عن - from| النار - the Fire| وأدخل - and admitted| الجنة - (to) Paradise| فقد - then surely| فاز - he is successful.| وما - And not| الحياة - (is) the life| الدنيا - (of) the world| إلا - except| متاع - enjoyment| الغرور - (of) delusion.| | ||||||
| 9 [4:15] | Waallatee ya/teena alfahishatamin nisa-ikum faistashhidoo AAalayhinna arbaAAatanminkum fa-in shahidoo faamsikoohunna fee albuyooti hattayatawaffahunna almawtu aw yajAAala Allahu lahunnasabeelan | واللاتي يأتين الفاحشة من نسائكم فاستشهدوا عليهن أربعة منكم فإن شهدوا فأمسكوهن في البيوت حتى يتوفاهن الموت أو يجعل الله لهن سبيلا وَاللاَّتِي يَأْتِينَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مِن نِّسَآئِكُمْ فَاسْتَشْهِدُواْ عَلَيْهِنَّ أَرْبَعةً مِّنكُمْ فَإِن شَهِدُواْ فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ فِي الْبُيُوتِ حَتَّى يَتَوَفَّاهُنَّ الْمَوْتُ أَوْ يَجْعَلَ اللّهُ لَهُنَّ سَبِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |واللاتي - And those who| يأتين - commit| الفاحشة - [the] immorality| من - from| نسائكم - your women| فاستشهدوا - then call to witness| عليهن - against them| أربعة - four| منكم - among you.| فإن - And if| شهدوا - they testify| فأمسكوهن - then confine them| في - in| البيوت - their houses| حتى - until| يتوفاهن - comes to them| الموت - [the] death| أو - or| يجعل - makes| الله - Allah| لهن - for them| سبيلا - a way.| | ||||||
| 10 [4:18] | Walaysati alttawbatu lillatheenayaAAmaloona alssayyi-ati hatta ithahadara ahadahumu almawtu qala inneetubtu al-ana wala allatheena yamootoonawahum kuffarun ola-ika aAAtadna lahum AAathabanaleeman | وليست التوبة للذين يعملون السيئات حتى إذا حضر أحدهم الموت قال إني تبت الآن ولا الذين يموتون وهم كفار أولئك أعتدنا لهم عذابا أليما وَلَيْسَتِ التَّوْبَةُ لِلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ حَتَّى إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ إِنِّي تُبْتُ الْآنَ وَلاَ الَّذِينَ يَمُوتُونَ وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ أُوْلَـئِكَ أَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |وليست - And not| التوبة - (is) the acceptance of repentance| للذين - for those who| يعملون - do| السيئات - the evil deeds| حتى - until| إذا - when| حضر - approaches| أحدهم - one of them| الموت - [the] death,| قال - he says,| إني - "Indeed I| تبت - repent| الآن - now;"| ولا - and not| الذين - those who| يموتون - die| وهم - while they| كفار - (are) disbelievers.| أولئك - Those -| أعتدنا - We have prepared| لهم - for them| عذابا - a punishment| أليما - painful.| | ||||||
| 11 [4:78] | Aynama takoonoo yudrikkumu almawtuwalaw kuntum fee buroojin mushayyadatin wa-in tusibhum hasanatunyaqooloo hathihi min AAindi Allahi wa-in tusibhumsayyi-atun yaqooloo hathihi min AAindika qul kullun minAAindi Allahi famali haola-i alqawmila yakadoona yafqahoona hadeethan | أينما تكونوا يدرككم الموت ولو كنتم في بروج مشيدة وإن تصبهم حسنة يقولوا هذه من عند الله وإن تصبهم سيئة يقولوا هذه من عندك قل كل من عند الله فمال هؤلاء القوم لا يكادون يفقهون حديثا أَيْنَمَا تَكُونُواْ يُدْرِككُّمُ الْمَوْتُ وَلَوْ كُنتُمْ فِي بُرُوجٍ مُّشَيَّدَةٍ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ حَسَنَةٌ يَقُولُواْ هَـذِهِ مِنْ عِندِ اللّهِ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَقُولُواْ هَـذِهِ مِنْ عِندِكَ قُلْ كُلٌّ مِّنْ عِندِ اللّهِ فَمَا لِهَـؤُلاَءِ الْقَوْمِ لاَ يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ حَدِيثًا | |||||
| Words | |أينما - Wherever| تكونوا - you be| يدرككم - will overtake you| الموت - [the] death| ولو - even if| كنتم - you are| في - in| بروج - towers| مشيدة - lofty.| وإن - And if| تصبهم - befalls them| حسنة - any good| يقولوا - they say,| هذه - "This| من - (is)| عند - from| الله - Allah."| وإن - And if| تصبهم - befalls them| سيئة - any evil| يقولوا - they say,| هذه - "This| من - (is)| عندك - (from) you."| قل - Say,| كل - "All| من - (is)| عند - from| الله - Allah."| فمال - So what (is wrong)| هؤلاء - (with) these| القوم - [the] people,| لا - not| يكادون - do they seem| يفقهون - (to) understand| حديثا - any statement.| | ||||||
| 12 [4:100] | Waman yuhajir fee sabeeli Allahiyajid fee al-ardi muraghaman katheeran wasaAAatanwaman yakhruj min baytihi muhajiran ila Allahiwarasoolihi thumma yudrik-hu almawtu faqad waqaAAa ajruhu AAalaAllahi wakana Allahu ghafooran raheeman | ومن يهاجر في سبيل الله يجد في الأرض مراغما كثيرا وسعة ومن يخرج من بيته مهاجرا إلى الله ورسوله ثم يدركه الموت فقد وقع أجره على الله وكان الله غفورا رحيما وَمَن يُهَاجِرْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ يَجِدْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مُرَاغَمًا كَثِيرًا وَسَعَةً وَمَن يَخْرُجْ مِن بَيْتِهِ مُهَاجِرًا إِلَى اللّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ثُمَّ يُدْرِكْهُ الْمَوْتُ فَقَدْ وَقَعَ أَجْرُهُ عَلَى اللّهِ وَكَانَ اللّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And whoever| يهاجر - emigrates| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah,| يجد - will find| في - in| الأرض - the earth| مراغما - place(s) of refuge -| كثيرا - many,| وسعة - and abundance.| ومن - And whoever| يخرج - leaves| من - from| بيته - his home| مهاجرا - (as) an emigrant| إلى - to| الله - Allah| ورسوله - and His Messenger,| ثم - then| يدركه - overtakes him| الموت - [the] death,| فقد - then certainly| وقع - (became) incumbent| أجره - his reward| على - on| الله - Allah.| وكان - And is| الله - Allah| غفورا - Oft-Forgiving,| رحيما - Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 13 [5:106] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooshahadatu baynikum itha hadara ahadakumualmawtu heena alwasiyyati ithnani thawaAAadlin minkum aw akharani min ghayrikum in antum darabtumfee al-ardi faasabatkum museebatu almawti tahbisoonahumamin baAAdi alssalati fayuqsimani biAllahiini irtabtum la nashtaree bihi thamanan walaw kana thaqurba wala naktumu shahadata Allahiinna ithan lamina al-athimeena | يا أيها الذين آمنوا شهادة بينكم إذا حضر أحدكم الموت حين الوصية اثنان ذوا عدل منكم أو آخران من غيركم إن أنتم ضربتم في الأرض فأصابتكم مصيبة الموت تحبسونهما من بعد الصلاة فيقسمان بالله إن ارتبتم لا نشتري به ثمنا ولو كان ذا قربى ولا نكتم شهادة الله إنا إذا لمن الآثمين يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ شَهَادَةُ بَيْنِكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ حِينَ الْوَصِيَّةِ اثْنَانِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ مِّنكُمْ أَوْ آخَرَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ إِنْ أَنتُمْ ضَرَبْتُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَأَصَابَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةُ الْمَوْتِ تَحْبِسُونَهُمَا مِن بَعْدِ الصَّلاَةِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِاللّهِ إِنِ ارْتَبْتُمْ لاَ نَشْتَرِي بِهِ ثَمَنًا وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَى وَلاَ نَكْتُمُ شَهَادَةَ اللّهِ إِنَّا إِذًا لَّمِنَ الْآثِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you| الذين - who| آمنوا - believe!| شهادة - (Take) testimony| بينكم - among you| إذا - when| حضر - approaches| أحدكم - one of you| الموت - [the] death,| حين - (at the) time (of making)| الوصية - [the] a will| اثنان - two| ذوا - men,| عدل - just,| منكم - among you,| أو - or| آخران - two others| من - from| غيركم - other than you| إن - if| أنتم - You| ضربتم - (are) travel(ing)| في - in| الأرض - the earth| فأصابتكم - then befalls you| مصيبة - calamity| الموت - (of) [the] death.| تحبسونهما - Detain both of them| من - from| بعد - after| الصلاة - the prayer| فيقسمان - and let them both swear| بالله - by Allah| إن - if| ارتبتم - you doubt,| لا - "Not| نشتري - we will exchange| به - it for| ثمنا - a price| ولو - even if| كان - he is| ذا - (of)| قربى - a near relative,| ولا - and not| نكتم - we will conceal| شهادة - testimony| الله - (of) Allah.| إنا - Indeed, we| إذا - then| لمن - (will) surely (be) of| الآثمين - the sinners."| | ||||||
| 14 [6:61] | Wahuwa alqahiru fawqa AAibadihiwayursilu AAalaykum hafathatan hattaitha jaa ahadakumu almawtu tawaffat-hurusuluna wahum la yufarritoona | وهو القاهر فوق عباده ويرسل عليكم حفظة حتى إذا جاء أحدكم الموت توفته رسلنا وهم لا يفرطون وَهُوَ الْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُم حَفَظَةً حَتَّىَ إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمْ لاَ يُفَرِّطُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وهو - And He| القاهر - (is) the Subjugator| فوق - over| عباده - His slaves,| ويرسل - and He sends| عليكم - over you| حفظة - guardians| حتى - until| إذا - when| جاء - comes| أحدكم - (to) anyone of you| الموت - the death| توفته - take him| رسلنا - Our messengers,| وهم - and they| لا - (do) not| يفرطون - fail.| | ||||||
| 15 [6:93] | Waman athlamu mimmani iftaraAAala Allahi kathiban aw qala oohiyailayya walam yooha ilayhi shay-on waman qalasaonzilu mithla ma anzala Allahu walaw taraithi alththalimoona fee ghamaratialmawti waalmala-ikatu basitooaydeehim akhrijoo anfusakumu alyawma tujzawna AAathabaalhooni bima kuntum taqooloona AAala Allahighayra alhaqqi wakuntum AAan ayatihitastakbiroona | ومن أظلم ممن افترى على الله كذبا أو قال أوحي إلي ولم يوح إليه شيء ومن قال سأنزل مثل ما أنزل الله ولو ترى إذ الظالمون في غمرات الموت والملائكة باسطو أيديهم أخرجوا أنفسكم اليوم تجزون عذاب الهون بما كنتم تقولون على الله غير الحق وكنتم عن آياته تستكبرون وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ قَالَ أُوْحِيَ إِلَيَّ وَلَمْ يُوحَ إِلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ وَمَن قَالَ سَأُنزِلُ مِثْلَ مَا أَنَزلَ اللّهُ وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذِ الظَّالِمُونَ فِي غَمَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ وَالْمَلَآئِكَةُ بَاسِطُواْ أَيْدِيهِمْ أَخْرِجُواْ أَنفُسَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ الْهُونِ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللّهِ غَيْرَ الْحَقِّ وَكُنتُمْ عَنْ آيَاتِهِ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And who| أظلم - (is) more unjust| ممن - than (one) who| افترى - invents| على - about| الله - Allah| كذبا - a lie| أو - or| قال - said,| أوحي - "It has been inspired| إلي - to me"| ولم - while not| يوح - it was inspired| إليه - to him| شيء - anything,| ومن - and (one) who| قال - said,| سأنزل - "I will reveal| مثل - like| ما - what| أنزل - (has been) revealed| الله - (by) Allah."| ولو - And if| ترى - you (could) see| إذ - when| الظالمون - the wrongdoers| في - (are) in| غمرات - agonies| الموت - (of) [the] death| والملائكة - while the Angels| باسطو - (are) stretching out| أيديهم - their hands (saying),| أخرجوا - "Discharge| أنفسكم - your souls!| اليوم - Today| تجزون - you will be recompensed| عذاب - (with) punishment,| الهون - humiliating,| بما - because| كنتم - you used to| تقولون - say| على - against| الله - Allah| غير - other than| الحق - the truth| وكنتم - and you were| عن - towards| آياته - His Verses| تستكبرون - being arrogant."| | ||||||
| 16 [8:6] | Yujadiloonaka fee alhaqqibaAAda ma tabayyana kaannama yusaqoona ilaalmawti wahum yanthuroona | يجادلونك في الحق بعدما تبين كأنما يساقون إلى الموت وهم ينظرون يُجَادِلُونَكَ فِي الْحَقِّ بَعْدَ مَا تَبَيَّنَ كَأَنَّمَا يُسَاقُونَ إِلَى الْمَوْتِ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ | |||||

| 17 [11:7] | Wahuwa allathee khalaqa alssamawatiwaal-arda fee sittati ayyamin wakanaAAarshuhu AAala alma-i liyabluwakum ayyukum ahsanuAAamalan wala-in qulta innakum mabAAoothoona min baAAdi almawtilayaqoolanna allatheena kafaroo in hatha illasihrun mubeenun | وهو الذي خلق السماوات والأرض في ستة أيام وكان عرشه على الماء ليبلوكم أيكم أحسن عملا ولئن قلت إنكم مبعوثون من بعد الموت ليقولن الذين كفروا إن هذا إلا سحر مبين وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَق السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَكَانَ عَرْشُهُ عَلَى الْمَاءِ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلاً وَلَئِن قُلْتَ إِنَّكُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ مِن بَعْدِ الْمَوْتِ لَيَقُولَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ إِنْ هَـذَا إِلاَّ سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Words | |وهو - And He| الذي - (is) the One Who| خلق - created| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth| في - in| ستة - six| أيام - epochs,| وكان - and His throne was| عرشه - and His throne was| على - on| الماء - the water| ليبلوكم - that He might test [you]| أيكم - which of you| أحسن - (is) best| عملا - (in) deed.| ولئن - But if| قلت - you say,| إنكم - "Indeed, you| مبعوثون - (will be) resurrected| من - after| بعد - after| الموت - [the] death,"| ليقولن - surely would say| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved,| إن - "This is not| هذا - "This is not| إلا - but| سحر - a magic| مبين - clear."| | ||||||
| 18 [14:17] | YatajarraAAuhu wala yakaduyuseeghuhu waya/teehi almawtu min kulli makanin wamahuwa bimayyitin wamin wara-ihi AAathabun ghaleethun | يتجرعه ولا يكاد يسيغه ويأتيه الموت من كل مكان وما هو بميت ومن ورائه عذاب غليظ يَتَجَرَّعُهُ وَلاَ يَكَادُ يُسِيغُهُ وَيَأْتِيهِ الْمَوْتُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمَيِّتٍ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِ عَذَابٌ غَلِيظٌ | |||||
| Words | |يتجرعه - He will sip it| ولا - but not| يكاد - he will be near| يسيغه - (to) swallowing it.| ويأتيه - And will come to him| الموت - the death| من - from| كل - every| مكان - side,| وما - but not| هو - he| بميت - will die.| ومن - And ahead of him| ورائه - And ahead of him| عذاب - (is) a punishment| غليظ - harsh.| | ||||||
| 19 [21:35] | Kullu nafsin tha-iqatu almawtiwanablookum bialshsharri waalkhayri fitnatanwa-ilayna turjaAAoona | كل نفس ذائقة الموت ونبلوكم بالشر والخير فتنة وإلينا ترجعون كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ وَنَبْلُوكُم بِالشَّرِّ وَالْخَيْرِ فِتْنَةً وَإِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ | |||||
