[4:78] | Aynama takoonoo yudrikkumu almawtuwalaw kuntum fee buroojin mushayyadatin wa-in tusibhum hasanatunyaqooloo hathihi min AAindi Allahi wa-in tusibhumsayyi-atun yaqooloo hathihi min AAindika qul kullun minAAindi Allahi famali haola-i alqawmila yakadoona yafqahoona hadeethan
|  أينما تكونوا يدرككم الموت ولو كنتم في بروج مشيدة وإن تصبهم حسنة يقولوا هذه من عند الله وإن تصبهم سيئة يقولوا هذه من عندك قل كل من عند الله فمال هؤلاء القوم لا يكادون يفقهون حديثا
أَيْنَمَا تَكُونُواْ يُدْرِككُّمُ الْمَوْتُ وَلَوْ كُنتُمْ فِي بُرُوجٍ مُّشَيَّدَةٍ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ حَسَنَةٌ يَقُولُواْ هَـذِهِ مِنْ عِندِ اللّهِ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَقُولُواْ هَـذِهِ مِنْ عِندِكَ قُلْ كُلٌّ مِّنْ عِندِ اللّهِ فَمَا لِهَـؤُلاَءِ الْقَوْمِ لاَ يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ حَدِيثًا |
| Words | |أينما - Wherever| تكونوا - you be| يدرككم - will overtake you| الموت - [the] death| ولو - even if| كنتم - you are| في - in| بروج - towers| مشيدة - lofty.| وإن - And if| تصبهم - befalls them| حسنة - any good| يقولوا - they say,| هذه - "This| من - (is)| عند - from| الله - Allah."| وإن - And if| تصبهم - befalls them| سيئة - any evil| يقولوا - they say,| هذه - "This| من - (is)| عندك - (from) you."| قل - Say,| كل - "All| من - (is)| عند - from| الله - Allah."| فمال - So what (is wrong)| هؤلاء - (with) these| القوم - [the] people,| لا - not| يكادون - do they seem| يفقهون - (to) understand| حديثا - any statement.| |

| «የትም ስፍራ ብትኾኑ በጠነከሩ ሕንጻዎች ውስጥ ብትኾኑም እንኳ ሞት ያገኛችኋል፡፡ ደግም ነገር ብታገኛቸው ይህች ከአላህ ዘንድ ናት» ይላሉ፡፡ መከራም ብታገኛቸው «ይህቺ ከአንተ ዘንድ ናት» ይላሉ፡፡ «ሁሉም (ደጉም ክፉውም) ከአላህ ዘንድ ነው» በላቸው፡፡ ለእነዚህም ሰዎች ንግግርን ሊረዱ የማይቀርቡት ምን አላቸው |
| آل الجلالين | { أينما تكونوا يدرككُّم الموت ولو كنتم في بروج } حصون { مشيدة } مرتفعة فلا تخشوا القتال خوف الموت { وإن تصبهم } أي اليهود { حسنة } خصب وسعة { يقولوا هذه من عند الله وإن تصبهم سيئة } جدب وبلاء كما لهم عند قدوم النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم المدينة { يقولوا هذه من عندك } يا محمد أي بشؤمك { قل } لهم { كل } من الحسنة والسيئة { من عند الله } من قبله { فمال هؤلاء القوم لا يكادون يفقهون } أي لا يقاربون أن يفهموا { حديثا } يُلقى إليهم وما استفهام تعجب من فرط جهلهم ونفي مقاربة الفعل أشد من نفيه . |
| Anda tellam a kwen id tawev tmeppant, xas ma tellam di lebôuo ioehden. Ma iusa ten id yise$, ad inin: "wagi s$uô Öebbi". Ma tusa ten id tucmip, ad inin: "tagi s$uôek". Ini: "akw s$uô Öebbi". Acu iu$en agdud agi, ur izmir ad ifhem awalen? |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তোমরা যেখানেই থাক না কেন; মৃত্যু কিন্তু তোমাদেরকে পাকড়াও করবেই। যদি তোমরা সুদৃঢ় দূর্গের ভেতরেও অবস্থান কর, তবুও। বস্তুতঃ তাদের কোন কল্যাণ সাধিত হলে তারা বলে যে, এটা সাধিত হয়েছে আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে। আর যদি তাদের কোন অকল্যাণ হয়, তবে বলে, এটা হয়েছে তোমার পক্ষ থেকে, বলে দাও, এসবই আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে। পক্ষান্তরে তাদের পরিণতি কি হবে, যারা কখনও কোন কথা বুঝতে চেষ্টা করে না। |
| Literal | Wherever you are, the death catches up/reaches you , and (even) if you were in towers/castles/constellations built/erected , and if a goodness strikes them, they say: "This (is) from at God." And if a sin/crime (harm) strikes them, they say: "This (is) from at you." Say: "All/each (are) from at God, so how those the nation, they almost do not understand an information/speech?" |
| Yusuf Ali | "Wherever ye are, death will find you out, even if ye are in towers built up strong and high!" If some good befalls them, they say, "This is from Allah"; but if evil, they say, "This is from thee" (O Prophet). Say: "All things are from Allah." But what hath come to these people, that they fail to understand a single fact? |

And if a good thing visits them, they say, 'This is from God'; but if an evil thing visits them, they say, 'This is from thee.' Say: 'Everything is from God.' How is it with this people?
