| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[4:4] | Waatoo alnnisaa saduqatihinnanihlatan fa-in tibna lakum AAan shay-in minhunafsan fakuloohu hanee-an maree-an
|  وآتوا النساء صدقاتهن نحلة فإن طبن لكم عن شيء منه نفسا فكلوه هنيئا مريئا
وَآتُواْ النِّسَاءَ صَدُقَاتِهِنَّ نِحْلَةً فَإِن طِبْنَ لَكُمْ عَن شَيْءٍ مِّنْهُ نَفْسًا فَكُلُوهُ هَنِيئًا مَّرِيئًا |
| Words | |وآتوا - And give| النساء - the women| صدقاتهن - their dower| نحلة - graciously.| فإن - But if| طبن - they remit| لكم - to you| عن - of| شيء - anything| منه - of it| نفسا - (on their) own,| فكلوه - then eat it| هنيئا - (in) satisfaction| مريئا - (and) ease.| |

| ሴቶችንም መህሮቻቸውን በደስታ ስጡ፡፡ ለእናንተም ከእርሱ አንዳችን ነገር ነፍሶቻቸው ቢለግሱ መልካም ምስጉን ሲኾን ብሉት፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وآتوا } أعطوا { النساء صدقاتهن } جمع صدقة مهورهن { نِحلة } مصدر عطية عن طيب نفس { فإن طبن لكم عن شيء منه نفسا } تمييز محول عن الفاعل، أي طابت أنفسهن لكم عن شيء من الصداق فوهبنه لكم { فكلوه هنيئا } طيبا { مريئا } محمود العاقبة لا ضرر فيه عليكم في الآخرة نزلت ردا على كره ذلك . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর তোমরা স্ত্রীদেরকে তাদের মোহর দিয়ে দাও খুশীমনে। তারা যদি খুশী হয়ে তা থেকে অংশ ছেড়ে দেয়, তবে তা তোমরা স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যে ভোগ কর। |
| Literal | And give the women their dowries specified personally , so if they (them)self allowed/permitted for you from a thing/something from it, so eat it pleasurable/wholesome tasty. |
| Yusuf Ali | And give the women (on marriage) their dower as a free gift; but if they, of their own good pleasure, remit any part of it to you, Take it and enjoy it with right good cheer. |
