بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [2:243] | Alam tara ila allatheenakharajoo min diyarihim wahum oloofun hatharaalmawti faqala lahumu Allahu mootoo thumma ahyahuminna Allaha lathoo fadlin AAala alnnasiwalakinna akthara alnnasi layashkuroona
| ألم تر إلى الذين خرجوا من ديارهم وهم ألوف حذر الموت فقال لهم الله موتوا ثم أحياهم إن الله لذو فضل على الناس ولكن أكثر الناس لا يشكرون أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ خَرَجُواْ مِن دِيَارِهِمْ وَهُمْ أُلُوفٌ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِ فَقَالَ لَهُمُ اللّهُ مُوتُواْ ثُمَّ أَحْيَاهُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَشْكُرُونَ |

| ወደ እነዚያ እነርሱ ብዙ ሺሕ ኾነው ሞትን ለመፍራት ከሀገሮቻቸው ወደ ወጡት ሰዎች ዕውቀትህ አልደረሰምን? አላህም ለነርሱ «ሙቱ» አላቸው፤ (ሞቱም)፡፡ ከዚያም ሕያው አደረጋቸው፡፡ አላህም በሰዎች ላይ ባለችሮታ ነው፤ ግን አብዛኛዎቹ ሰዎች አያመሰግኑም፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { ألم تر } استفهام تعجيب وتشويق إلى استماع ما بعده أي ينته علمك { إلى الذين خرجوا من ديارهم وهم ألوف } أربعة أو ثمانية أو عشرة أو ثلاثون أو أربعون أو سبعون ألفا { حذر الموت } مفعول له وهم قوم من بني إسرائيل وقع الطاعون ببلادهم ففروا { فقال لهم الله موتوا } فماتوا { ثم أحياهم } بعد ثمانية أيام أو أكثر بدعاء نبيهم حزقيل بكسر المهملة والقاف وسكون الزاي فعاشوا دهرا عليهم أثر الموت لا يلبسون ثوبا إلا عاد كالكفن واستمرت في أسباطهم { إن الله لذو فضل على الناس } ومنه إحياء هؤلاء { ولكن أكثر الناس } وهم الكفار { لا يشكرون } والقصد من ذكر خبر هؤلاء تشجيع المؤمنين على القتال ولذا عطف عليه . |

মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তুমি কি তাদেরকে দেখনি, যারা মৃত্যুর ভয়ে নিজেদের ঘর ছেড়ে বেরিয়ে গিয়েছিলেন? অথচ তারা ছিল হাজার হাজার। তারপর আল্লাহ তাদেরকে বললেন মরে যাও। তারপর তাদেরকে জীবিত করে দিলেন। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ মানুষের উপর অনুগ্রহকারী। কিন্তু অধিকাংশ লোক শুকরিয়া প্রকাশ করে না। |
Literal | Do you not see/understand to those who got out from their homes/countries/tribes/places , and they are thousands , fearing/cautioning the death, so God said to them: "Die." Then He revived them. That God (is owner) of grace/favour/blessing on the people, and but most of the people do not thank/be grateful. |
Yusuf Ali | Didst thou not Turn by vision to those who abandoned their homes, though they were thousands (In number), for fear of death? Allah said to them: "Die": Then He restored them to life. For Allah is full of bounty to mankind, but Most of them are ungrateful. |
Pickthal | Bethink thee (O Muhammad) of those of old, who went forth from their habitations in their thousands, fearing death, and Allah said unto them: Die; and then He brought them back to life. Lo! Allah is a Lord of Kindness to mankind, but most of mankind give not thanks. |
Arberry | Hast thou not regarded those who went forth from their habitations in their thousands fearful of death? God said to them, 'Die!' Then He gave them life. Truly God is bounteous to the people, but most of the people are not thankful. |
Shakir | Have you not considered those who went forth from their homes, for fear of death, and they were thousands, then Allah said to them, Die; again He gave them life; most surely Allah is Gracious to people, but most people are not grateful. |
Sarwar | (Muhammad), consider the thousands who left their homes for fear of death, who were then caused by God to die and brought back to life. God is generous to men but most people are not grateful. |

QXP Shabbir Ahemd** | The Ideal Society that you establish shall have sound socio-economic fabric and Rule of Law. That would enable you to thwart aggression from any quarters. You won't then, behave cowardly like those who were thousands in numbers, but when challenged by the enemy, they ran in droves leaving their homes behind. They feared death. Then they realized that the Divine Law of mortality is inescapable, hence the fear of death is vain. Soon, they stood up on their feet and defeated the enemy. They lived again. Allah's Guidance is a Bounty to mankind but the majority of the people do not realize and appreciate this fact. |

| Bang ka da katokawi so siran a miyamangawa ko manga ingd iran, a siran na baribo ribo, sa pangali ko kapatay? Na pitharo kiran o Allah a: "Miyamatay kano." Oriyan iyan na inoyag Iyan siran. Mataan! a so Allah i titho a Malai-gagaw ko manga manosiya, na ogaid na kadaklan ko manga manosiya a di siran phanalamat. |
