| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[2:19] | Aw kasayyibin mina alssama-ifeehi thulumatun waraAAdun wabarqunyajAAaloona asabiAAahum fee athanihim mina alssawaAAiqihathara almawti waAllahu muheetunbialkafireena
|  أو كصيب من السماء فيه ظلمات ورعد وبرق يجعلون أصابعهم في آذانهم من الصواعق حذر الموت والله محيط بالكافرين
أَوْ كَصَيِّبٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ فِيهِ ظُلُمَاتٌ وَّرَعْدٌ وَّبَرْقٌ يَجْعَلُونَ أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِم مِّنَ الصَّوَاعِقِ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِ وَاللّهُ مُحِيطٌ بِالْكَافِرِينَ |

| ወይም (ምሳሌያቸው) ከሰማይ እንደ ወረደ ዝናም (ባለቤቶች) ነው፤ በርሱ (በደመናው) ውስጥ ጨለማዎች፣ ነጎድጓድም፣ ብልጭታም ያሉበት ሲኾን ከመብረቆቹ ሞትን ለመፍራት ጣቶቻቸውን በጆሮቻቸው ውስጥ እንደሚያደርጉ ብጤ ነው፡፡ አላህም ከሓዲዎችን ከባቢ ነው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { أو } مثلهم { كصيِّب } أي كأصحاب مطر وأصله صيوب من صاب يصوب أي ينزل { من السماء } السحاب { فيه } أي السحاب { ظلمات } متكاثفة { ورعد } هو الملك الموكَّل به وقيل صوته { وبرق } لمعان صوته الذي يزجره به { يجعلون } أي أصحاب الصيِّب { أصابعهم } أي أناملها { في آذانهم من } أجل { الصواعق } شدة صوت الرعد لئلا يسمعوها { حذر } خوف { الموت } من سماعها. كذلك هؤلاء :إذا نزل القرآن وفيه ذكر الكفر المشبه بالظلمات والوعيد عليه المشبه بالرعد والحجج البينة المشبهة بالبرق، يسدون آذانهم لئلا يسمعوه فيميلوا إلى الإيمان وترك دينهم وهو عندهم موت { والله محيط بالكافرين } علماً وقدرة فلا يفوتونه. |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর তাদের উদাহরণ সেসব লোকের মত যারা দুর্যোগপূর্ণ ঝড়ো রাতে পথ চলে, যাতে থাকে আঁধার, গর্জন ও বিদ্যুৎচমক। মৃত্যুর ভয়ে গর্জনের সময় কানে আঙ্গুল দিয়ে রক্ষা পেতে চায়। অথচ সমস্ত কাফেরই আল্লাহ কর্তৃক পরিবেষ্ঠিত। |
| Literal | Or as a rain from the sky, in it (is) darknesses and thunder and lightning, they put their fingers intheir ears from the thunderous noise , fearing the death , and God (is) with the disbelievers surrounding/enveloping . |
| Yusuf Ali | Or (another similitude) is that of a rain-laden cloud from the sky: In it are zones of darkness, and thunder and lightning: They press their fingers in their ears to keep out the stunning thunder-clap, the while they are in terror of death.
