| 1 [21:14] | Qaloo ya waylana innakunna thalimeena |  قالوا يا ويلنا إنا كنا ظالمينقَالُواْ يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| يا - O| ويلنا - "O woe to us!| إنا - Indeed, [we]| كنا - we were| ظالمين - wrongdoers."| | ||||||
| 2 [21:46] | Wala-in massat-hum nafhatun min AAathabirabbika layaqoolunna ya waylana inna kunnathalimeena | ولئن مستهم نفحة من عذاب ربك ليقولن يا ويلنا إنا كنا ظالمين وَلَئِن مَّسَّتْهُمْ نَفْحَةٌ مِّنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And if| مستهم - touches them| نفحة - a whiff| من - of| عذاب - (the) punishment| ربك - (of) your Lord,| ليقولن - surely they will say,| يا - O| ويلنا - "O woe to us!| إنا - Indeed, we| كنا - [we] were| ظالمين - wrongdoers."| | ||||||
| 3 [21:97] | Waiqtaraba alwaAAdu alhaqqufa-itha hiya shakhisatun absaru allatheenakafaroo ya waylana qad kunna fee ghaflatinmin hatha bal kunna thalimeena | واقترب الوعد الحق فإذا هي شاخصة أبصار الذين كفروا يا ويلنا قد كنا في غفلة من هذا بل كنا ظالمين وَاقْتَرَبَ الْوَعْدُ الْحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِيَ شَاخِصَةٌ أَبْصَارُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |واقترب - And has approached| الوعد - the promise| الحق - [the] true| فإذا - then behold,| هي - [it]| شاخصة - (are) staring| أبصار - (the) eyes| الذين - (of) those who| كفروا - disbelieved,| يا - O| ويلنا - "O woe to us!| قد - Verily,| كنا - we had been| في - in| غفلة - heedlessness| من - of| هذا - this;| بل - nay,| كنا - we were| ظالمين - wrongdoers."| | ||||||
| 4 [36:52] | Qaloo ya waylana manbaAAathana min marqadina hatha mawaAAada alrrahmanu wasadaqaalmursaloona | قالوا يا ويلنا من بعثنا من مرقدنا هذا ما وعد الرحمن وصدق المرسلون قَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا مَن بَعَثَنَا مِن مَّرْقَدِنَا هَذَا مَا وَعَدَ الرَّحْمَنُ وَصَدَقَ الْمُرْسَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They [will] say,| يا - O| ويلنا - "O woe to us!| من - Who| بعثنا - has raised us| من - from| مرقدنا - our sleeping place?"| هذا - "This (is)| ما - what| وعد - (had) promised| الرحمن - the Most Gracious,| وصدق - and told (the) truth| المرسلون - the Messengers."| | ||||||
| 5 [37:20] | Waqaloo ya waylana hathayawmu alddeeni | وقالوا يا ويلنا هذا يوم الدين وَقَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا هَذَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ | |||||
| Words | |وقالوا - And they will say,| يا - O| ويلنا - "O woe to us!| هذا - This| يوم - (is the) Day| الدين - (of) the Recompense."| | ||||||
| 6 [68:31] | Qaloo ya waylana innakunna tagheena | قالوا يا ويلنا إنا كنا طاغين قَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا طَاغِينَ | |||||
