| 1 [2:120] | Walan tarda AAanka alyahoodu walaalnnasara hatta tattabiAAamillatahum qul inna huda Allahi huwa alhudawala-ini ittabaAAta ahwaahum baAAda allathee jaakamina alAAilmi ma laka mina Allahi min waliyyin walanaseerin |  ولن ترضى عنك اليهود ولا النصارى حتى تتبع ملتهم قل إن هدى الله هو الهدى ولئن اتبعت أهواءهم بعد الذي جاءك من العلم ما لك من الله من ولي ولا نصيروَلَن تَرْضَى عَنكَ الْيَهُودُ وَلاَ النَّصَارَى حَتَّى تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَى وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم بَعْدَ الَّذِي جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ نَصِيرٍ | |||||
| Words | |ولن - And never| ترضى - will be pleased| عنك - with you| اليهود - the Jews| ولا - and [not]| النصارى - the Christians| حتى - until| تتبع - you follow| ملتهم - their religion.| قل - Say,| إن - "Indeed,| هدى - (the) Guidance| الله - (of) Allah,| هو - it| الهدى - (is) the Guidance."| ولئن - And if| اتبعت - you follow| أهواءهم - their desires| بعد - after| الذي - what| جاءك - has come to you| من - of| العلم - the knowledge,| ما - not| لك - for you| من - from| الله - Allah| من - any| ولي - protector| ولا - and not| نصير - any helper.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:145] | Wala-in atayta allatheena ootooalkitaba bikulli ayatin ma tabiAAooqiblataka wama anta bitabiAAin qiblatahum wamabaAAduhum bitabiAAin qiblata baAAdinwala-ini ittabaAAta ahwaahum min baAAdi ma jaakamina alAAilmi innaka ithan lamina alththalimeena | ولئن أتيت الذين أوتوا الكتاب بكل آية ما تبعوا قبلتك وما أنت بتابع قبلتهم وما بعضهم بتابع قبلة بعض ولئن اتبعت أهواءهم من بعد ما جاءك من العلم إنك إذا لمن الظالمين وَلَئِنْ أَتَيْتَ الَّذِينَ أُوْتُواْ الْكِتَابَ بِكُلِّ آيَةٍ مَّا تَبِعُواْ قِبْلَتَكَ وَمَا أَنتَ بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَتَهُمْ وَمَا بَعْضُهُم بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَةَ بَعْضٍ وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ إِنَّكَ إِذاً لَّمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And even if| أتيت - you come| الذين - (to) those who| أوتوا - were given| الكتاب - the Book| بكل - with all| آية - (the) signs,| ما - not| تبعوا - they would follow| قبلتك - your direction of prayer,| وما - and not| أنت - (will) you (be)| بتابع - a follower| قبلتهم - (of) their direction of prayer.| وما - And not| بعضهم - some of them| بتابع - (are) followers| قبلة - (of the) direction of prayer| بعض - (of each) other.| ولئن - And if| اتبعت - you followed| أهواءهم - their desires| من - from| بعد - after| ما - [what]| جاءك - came to you| من - of| العلم - the knowledge,| إنك - indeed, you| إذا - (would) then| لمن - (be) surely among| الظالمين - the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 3 [3:157] | Wala-in qutiltum fee sabeeli Allahiaw muttum lamaghfiratun mina Allahi warahmatunkhayrun mimma yajmaAAoona | ولئن قتلتم في سبيل الله أو متم لمغفرة من الله ورحمة خير مما يجمعون وَلَئِن قُتِلْتُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ أَوْ مُتُّمْ لَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّنَ اللّهِ وَرَحْمَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And if| قتلتم - you are killed| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah| أو - or| متم - die[d] -| لمغفرة - certainly forgiveness| من - from| الله - Allah| ورحمة - and Mercy| خير - (are) better| مما - than what| يجمعون - they accumulate.| | ||||||
| 4 [3:158] | Wala-in muttum aw qutiltum la-ilaAllahi tuhsharoona | ولئن متم أو قتلتم لإلى الله تحشرون وَلَئِن مُّتُّمْ أَوْ قُتِلْتُمْ لَإِلَى اللهِ تُحْشَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And if| متم - you die| أو - or| قتلتم - are killed,| لإلى - surely to| الله - Allah| تحشرون - you will be gathered.| | ||||||
| 5 [4:73] | Wala-in asabakum fadlun minaAllahi layaqoolanna kaan lam takun baynakum wabaynahumawaddatun ya laytanee kuntu maAAahum faafooza fawzan AAatheeman | ولئن أصابكم فضل من الله ليقولن كأن لم تكن بينكم وبينه مودة يا ليتني كنت معهم فأفوز فوزا عظيما وَلَئِنْ أَصَابَكُمْ فَضْلٌ مِّنَ الله لَيَقُولَنَّ كَأَن لَّمْ تَكُن بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُ مَوَدَّةٌ يَا لَيتَنِي كُنتُ مَعَهُمْ فَأَفُوزَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And if| أصابكم - befalls you| فضل - bounty| من - from| الله - Allah| ليقولن - he would surely say| كأن - as if| لم - (had) not| تكن - there been| بينكم - between you| وبينه - and between him| مودة - any affection,| يا - O| ليتني - "Oh! I wish| كنت - I had been| معهم - with them| فأفوز - then I would have attained| فوزا - a success| عظيما - great."| | ||||||
| 6 [9:65] | Wala-in saaltahum layaqoolunna innamakunna nakhoodu wanalAAabu qul abiAllahiwaayatihi warasoolihi kuntum tastahzi-oona | ولئن سألتهم ليقولن إنما كنا نخوض ونلعب قل أبالله وآياته ورسوله كنتم تستهزئون وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ إِنَّمَا كُنَّا نَخُوضُ وَنَلْعَبُ قُلْ أَبِاللّهِ وَآيَاتِهِ وَرَسُولِهِ كُنتُمْ تَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And if| سألتهم - you ask them,| ليقولن - surely they will say,| إنما - "Only| كنا - we were| نخوض - conversing| ونلعب - and playing."| قل - Say,| أبالله - "Is it Allah| وآياته - and His Verses| ورسوله - and His Messenger| كنتم - (that) you were| تستهزئون - mocking?"| | ||||||
| 7 [11:7] | Wahuwa allathee khalaqa alssamawatiwaal-arda fee sittati ayyamin wakanaAAarshuhu AAala alma-i liyabluwakum ayyukum ahsanuAAamalan wala-in qulta innakum mabAAoothoona min baAAdi almawtilayaqoolanna allatheena kafaroo in hatha illasihrun mubeenun | وهو الذي خلق السماوات والأرض في ستة أيام وكان عرشه على الماء ليبلوكم أيكم أحسن عملا ولئن قلت إنكم مبعوثون من بعد الموت ليقولن الذين كفروا إن هذا إلا سحر مبين وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَق السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَكَانَ عَرْشُهُ عَلَى الْمَاءِ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلاً وَلَئِن قُلْتَ إِنَّكُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ مِن بَعْدِ الْمَوْتِ لَيَقُولَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ إِنْ هَـذَا إِلاَّ سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Words | |وهو - And He| الذي - (is) the One Who| خلق - created| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth| في - in| ستة - six| أيام - epochs,| وكان - and His throne was| عرشه - and His throne was| على - on| الماء - the water| ليبلوكم - that He might test [you]| أيكم - which of you| أحسن - (is) best| عملا - (in) deed.| ولئن - But if| قلت - you say,| إنكم - "Indeed, you| مبعوثون - (will be) resurrected| من - after| بعد - after| الموت - [the] death,"| ليقولن - surely would say| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved,| إن - "This is not| هذا - "This is not| إلا - but| سحر - a magic| مبين - clear."| | ||||||
| 8 [11:8] | Wala-in akhkharna AAanhumu alAAathabaila ommatin maAAdoodatin layaqoolunna ma yahbisuhuala yawma ya/teehim laysa masroofan AAanhum wahaqabihim ma kanoo bihi yastahzi-oona | ولئن أخرنا عنهم العذاب إلى أمة معدودة ليقولن ما يحبسه ألا يوم يأتيهم ليس مصروفا عنهم وحاق بهم ما كانوا به يستهزئون وَلَئِنْ أَخَّرْنَا عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ إِلَى أُمَّةٍ مَّعْدُودَةٍ لَّيَقُولُنَّ مَا يَحْبِسُهُ أَلاَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِيهِمْ لَيْسَ مَصْرُوفًا عَنْهُمْ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And if| أخرنا - We delay| عنهم - from them| العذاب - the punishment| إلى - for| أمة - a time| معدودة - determined,| ليقولن - they will surely say,| ما - "What| يحبسه - detains it?"| ألا - No doubt!| يوم - (On) the Day| يأتيهم - it comes to them| ليس - not| مصروفا - (will be) averted| عنهم - from them| وحاق - and will surround| بهم - them| ما - what| كانوا - they used (to)| به - mock at [it].| يستهزئون - mock at [it].| | ||||||
| 9 [11:9] | Wala-in athaqna al-insanaminna rahmatan thumma nazaAAnahaminhu innahu layaoosun kafoorun | ولئن أذقنا الإنسان منا رحمة ثم نزعناها منه إنه ليئوس كفور وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ مِنَّا رَحْمَةً ثُمَّ نَزَعْنَاهَا مِنْهُ إِنَّهُ لَيَئُوسٌ كَفُورٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And if| أذقنا - We give man a taste| الإنسان - We give man a taste| منا - (of) Mercy from Us,| رحمة - (of) Mercy from Us,| ثم - then| نزعناها - We withdraw it| منه - from him,| إنه - indeed, he| ليئوس - (is) despairing| كفور - (and) ungrateful.| | ||||||
| 10 [11:10] | Wala-in athaqnahu naAAmaabaAAda darraa massat-hu layaqoolanna thahabaalssayyi-atu AAannee innahu lafarihunfakhoorun | ولئن أذقناه نعماء بعد ضراء مسته ليقولن ذهب السيئات عني إنه لفرح فخور وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَاهُ نَعْمَاءَ بَعْدَ ضَرَّاءَ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ ذَهَبَ السَّيِّئَاتُ عَنِّي إِنَّهُ لَفَرِحٌ فَخُورٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - But if| أذقناه - We give him a taste| نعماء - (of) favor| بعد - after| ضراء - hardship| مسته - (has) touched him,| ليقولن - surely, he will say,| ذهب - "Have gone| السيئات - the evils| عني - from me."| إنه - Indeed, he| لفرح - (is) exultant| فخور - (and) boastful.| | ||||||
| 11 [12:32] | Qalat fathalikunna allatheelumtunnanee feehi walaqad rawadtuhu AAan nafsihi faistAAsamawala-in lam yafAAal ma amuruhu layusjanannawalayakoonan mina alssaghireena | قالت فذلكن الذي لمتنني فيه ولقد راودته عن نفسه فاستعصم ولئن لم يفعل ما آمره ليسجنن وليكونا من الصاغرين قَالَتْ فَذَلِكُنَّ الَّذِي لُمْتُنَّنِي فِيهِ وَلَقَدْ رَاوَدتُّهُ عَن نَّفْسِهِ فَاسَتَعْصَمَ وَلَئِن لَّمْ يَفْعَلْ مَا آمُرُهُ لَيُسْجَنَنَّ وَلَيَكُونًا مِّنَ الصَّاغِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قالت - She said,| فذلكن - "That| الذي - (is) the one,| لمتنني - you blamed me| فيه - about him.| ولقد - And certainly| راودته - I sought to seduce him,| عن - [from]| نفسه - [himself]| فاستعصم - but he saved himself,| ولئن - and if| لم - not| يفعل - he does| ما - what| آمره - I order him,| ليسجنن - surely, he will be imprisoned| وليكونا - and certainly will be| من - of| الصاغرين - those who are disgraced."| | ||||||
| 12 [13:37] | Wakathalika anzalnahu hukmanAAarabiyyan wala-ini ittabaAAta ahwaahum baAAda majaaka mina alAAilmi ma laka mina Allahi minwaliyyin wala waqin | وكذلك أنزلناه حكما عربيا ولئن اتبعت أهواءهم بعدما جاءك من العلم ما لك من الله من ولي ولا واق وَكَذَلِكَ أَنزَلْنَاهُ حُكْمًا عَرَبِيًّا وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم بَعْدَ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ وَاقٍ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| أنزلناه - We have revealed it| حكما - (to be) a judgment of authority| عربيا - (in) Arabic.| ولئن - And if| اتبعت - you follow| أهواءهم - their desires| بعدما - after what| جاءك - came to you| من - of| العلم - the knowledge,| ما - not| لك - for you| من - against| الله - Allah| من - any| ولي - protector| ولا - and not| واق - defender.| | ||||||
| 13 [14:7] | Wa-ith taaththana rabbukumla-in shakartum laazeedannakum wala-in kafartum inna AAathabeelashadeedun | وإذ تأذن ربكم لئن شكرتم لأزيدنكم ولئن كفرتم إن عذابي لشديد وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ وَلَئِن كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِي لَشَدِيدٌ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| تأذن - proclaimed| ربكم - your Lord,| لئن - "If| شكرتم - you are thankful,| لأزيدنكم - surely I will increase you;| ولئن - but if| كفرتم - you are ungrateful| إن - indeed,| عذابي - My punishment| لشديد - (is) surely severe."| | ||||||
| 14 [16:126] | Wa-in AAaqabtum faAAaqiboobimithli ma AAooqibtum bihi wala-in sabartum lahuwakhayrun lilssabireena | وإن عاقبتم فعاقبوا بمثل ما عوقبتم به ولئن صبرتم لهو خير للصابرين وَإِنْ عَاقَبْتُمْ فَعَاقِبُواْ بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبْتُم بِهِ وَلَئِن صَبَرْتُمْ لَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لِّلصَّابِرينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإن - And if| عاقبتم - you retaliate,| فعاقبوا - then retaliate| بمثل - with the like| ما - of what| عوقبتم - you were afflicted| به - with [it].| ولئن - But if| صبرتم - you are patient,| لهو - surely (it) is| خير - better| للصابرين - for those who are patient.| | ||||||
| 15 [17:86] | Wala-in shi/na lanathhabannabiallathee awhayna ilayka thumma latajidu laka bihi AAalayna wakeelan | ولئن شئنا لنذهبن بالذي أوحينا إليك ثم لا تجد لك به علينا وكيلا وَلَئِن شِئْنَا لَنَذْهَبَنَّ بِالَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ ثُمَّ لاَ تَجِدُ لَكَ بِهِ عَلَيْنَا وَكِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And if| شئنا - We willed,| لنذهبن - We (would) have surely taken away| بالذي - that which| أوحينا - We have revealed| إليك - to you.| ثم - Then| لا - not| تجد - you would find| لك - for you| به - concerning it| علينا - against Us| وكيلا - any advocate,| | ||||||
| 16 [18:36] | Wama athunnu alssaAAataqa-imatan wala-in rudidtu ila rabbee laajidannakhayran minha munqalaban | وما أظن الساعة قائمة ولئن رددت إلى ربي لأجدن خيرا منها منقلبا وَمَا أَظُنُّ السَّاعَةَ قَائِمَةً وَلَئِن رُّدِدتُّ إِلَى رَبِّي لَأَجِدَنَّ خَيْرًا مِّنْهَا مُنقَلَبًا | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| أظن - I think| الساعة - the Hour| قائمة - will occur.| ولئن - And if| رددت - I am brought back| إلى - to| ربي - my Lord,| لأجدن - I will surely find| خيرا - better| منها - than this| منقلبا - (as) a return."| | ||||||
| 17 [21:46] | Wala-in massat-hum nafhatun min AAathabirabbika layaqoolunna ya waylana inna kunnathalimeena | ولئن مستهم نفحة من عذاب ربك ليقولن يا ويلنا إنا كنا ظالمين وَلَئِن مَّسَّتْهُمْ نَفْحَةٌ مِّنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And if| مستهم - touches them| نفحة - a whiff| من - of| عذاب - (the) punishment| ربك - (of) your Lord,| ليقولن - surely they will say,| يا - O| ويلنا - "O woe to us!| إنا - Indeed, we| كنا - [we] were| ظالمين - wrongdoers."| | ||||||
| 18 [23:34] | Wala-in ataAAtum basharan mithlakuminnakum ithan lakhasiroona | ولئن أطعتم بشرا مثلكم إنكم إذا لخاسرون وَلَئِنْ أَطَعْتُم بَشَرًا مِثْلَكُمْ إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَّخَاسِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And surely if| أطعتم - you obey| بشرا - a man| مثلكم - like you,| إنكم - indeed, you| إذا - then| لخاسرون - surely (will be) losers.| | ||||||
| 19 [29:10] | Wamina alnnasi man yaqoolu amannabiAllahi fa-itha oothiya fee AllahijaAAala fitnata alnnasi kaAAathabi Allahiwala-in jaa nasrun min rabbika layaqoolunna innakunna maAAakum awa laysa Allahu bi-aAAlama bimafee sudoori alAAalameena | ومن الناس من يقول آمنا بالله فإذا أوذي في الله جعل فتنة الناس كعذاب الله ولئن جاء نصر من ربك ليقولن إنا كنا معكم أوليس الله بأعلم بما في صدور العالمين وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ فَإِذَا أُوذِيَ فِي اللَّهِ جَعَلَ فِتْنَةَ النَّاسِ كَعَذَابِ اللَّهِ وَلَئِن جَاءَ نَصْرٌ مِّن رَّبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ إِنَّا كُنَّا مَعَكُمْ أَوَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِمَا فِي صُدُورِ الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And of| الناس - the people| من - (is he) who| يقول - says,| آمنا - "We believe| بالله - in Allah."| فإذا - But when| أوذي - he is harmed| في - in| الله - (the Way of) Allah| جعل - he considers| فتنة - (the) trial| الناس - (of) the people| كعذاب - as (the) punishment| الله - (of) Allah.| ولئن - But if| جاء - comes| نصر - victory| من - from| ربك - your Lord,| ليقولن - surely they say,| إنا - "Indeed, we| كنا - were| معكم - with you."| أوليس - Is not| الله - Allah| بأعلم - most knowing| بما - of what| في - (is) in| صدور - (the) breasts| العالمين - (of) the worlds?| | ||||||
| 20 [29:61] | Wala-in saaltahum man khalaqa alssamawatiwaal-arda wasakhkhara alshshamsa waalqamaralayaqoolunna Allahu faanna yu/fakoona | ولئن سألتهم من خلق السماوات والأرض وسخر الشمس والقمر ليقولن الله فأنى يؤفكون وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ فَأَنَّى يُؤْفَكُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And if| سألتهم - you ask them,| من - "Who| خلق - created| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth,| وسخر - and subjected| الشمس - the sun| والقمر - and the moon?"| ليقولن - Surely they would say| الله - "Allah."| فأنى - Then how| يؤفكون - are they deluded?| | ||||||
