| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[3:157] | Wala-in qutiltum fee sabeeli Allahiaw muttum lamaghfiratun mina Allahi warahmatunkhayrun mimma yajmaAAoona
|  ولئن قتلتم في سبيل الله أو متم لمغفرة من الله ورحمة خير مما يجمعون
وَلَئِن قُتِلْتُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ أَوْ مُتُّمْ لَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِّنَ اللّهِ وَرَحْمَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ |
| Words | |ولئن - And if| قتلتم - you are killed| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah| أو - or| متم - die[d] -| لمغفرة - certainly forgiveness| من - from| الله - Allah| ورحمة - and Mercy| خير - (are) better| مما - than what| يجمعون - they accumulate.| |

| በአላህም መንገድ ብትገደሉ ወይም፤ ብትሞቱ ከአላህ የኾነው ምሕረትና እዝነት (እነርሱ) ከሚሰበስቡት ሀብት በእርግጥ በላጭ ነው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ولئن } لام قسم { قُتِلْتُمْ في سبيل الله } أي الجهاد { أو مُتُّمْ } بضم الميم وكسرها من مات يموت أي أتاكم الموت فيه { لمغفرة } كائنة { من الله } لذنوبكم { ورحمة } منه لكم على ذلك واللام ومدخولها جواب القسم وهو في موضوع الفعل مبتدأ خبره { خير مما تجمعون } من الدنيا بالتاء والياء . |
| Ma tepwan$am deg ubrid n Öebbi, ne$ temmutem, ssmaê n Öebbi akked uêunu, war ccekk, ifen ayen la jemâan. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর তোমরা যদি আল্লাহর পথে নিহত হও কিংবা মৃত্যুবরণ কর, তোমরা যা কিছু সংগ্রহ করে থাক আল্লাহ তা’আলার ক্ষমা ও করুণা সে সবকিছুর চেয়ে উত্তম। |
| Literal | And if (E) you were killed in God's way/sake or you died, a forgiveness (E) from God, and a mercy (is) better from what they gather/collect/accumulate. |
| Yusuf Ali | And if ye are slain, or die, in the way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better than all they could amass. |
