| 1 [2:216] | Kutiba AAalaykumu alqitalu wahuwakurhun lakum waAAasa an takrahoo shay-an wahuwa khayrunlakum waAAasa an tuhibboo shay-an wahuwa sharrunlakum waAllahu yaAAlamu waantum lataAAlamoona |  كتب عليكم القتال وهو كره لكم وعسى أن تكرهوا شيئا وهو خير لكم وعسى أن تحبوا شيئا وهو شر لكم والله يعلم وأنتم لا تعلمونكُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقِتَالُ وَهُوَ كُرْهٌ لَّكُمْ وَعَسَى أَن تَكْرَهُواْ شَيْئًا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَعَسَى أَن تُحِبُّواْ شَيْئًا وَهُوَ شَرٌّ لَّكُمْ وَاللّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |كتب - Is prescribed| عليكم - upon you| القتال - [the] fighting| وهو - while it| كره - (is) hateful| لكم - to you.| وعسى - But perhaps| أن - [that]| تكرهوا - you dislike| شيئا - a thing| وهو - and it| خير - (is) good| لكم - for you;| وعسى - and perhaps| أن - [that]| تحبوا - you love| شيئا - a thing| وهو - and it| شر - (is) bad| لكم - for you.| والله - And Allah| يعلم - knows| وأنتم - while you| لا - (do) not| تعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 2 [3:180] | Wala yahsabanna allatheenayabkhaloona bima atahummu Allahu minfadlihi huwa khayran lahum bal huwa sharrun lahum sayutawwaqoonama bakhiloo bihi yawma alqiyamati walillahimeerathu alssamawati waal-ardiwaAllahu bima taAAmaloona khabeerun | ولا يحسبن الذين يبخلون بما آتاهم الله من فضله هو خيرا لهم بل هو شر لهم سيطوقون ما بخلوا به يوم القيامة ولله ميراث السماوات والأرض والله بما تعملون خبير وَلاَ يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ هُوَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ بَلْ هُوَ شَرٌّ لَّهُمْ سَيُطَوَّقُونَ مَا بَخِلُواْ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلِلّهِ مِيرَاثُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاللّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (let) not| يحسبن - think| الذين - those who| يبخلون - withhold| بما - of what| آتاهم - (has) given them| الله - Allah| من - of| فضله - His Bounty| هو - (that) it| خيرا - (is) good| لهم - for them.| بل - Nay,| هو - it| شر - (is) bad| لهم - for them.| سيطوقون - Their necks will be encircled| ما - (with) what| بخلوا - they withheld| به - [with it]| يوم - (on the) Day| القيامة - (of) [the] Resurrection.| ولله - And for Allah| ميراث - (is the) heritage| السماوات - (of) the heavens| والأرض - and the earth.| والله - And Allah,| بما - with what| تعملون - you do,| خبير - (is) All-Aware.| | ||||||
| 3 [5:60] | Qul hal onabbi-okum bisharrin min thalikamathoobatan AAinda Allahi man laAAanahu Allahuwaghadiba AAalayhi wajaAAala minhumu alqiradata waalkhanazeerawaAAabada alttaghooti ola-ika sharrun makananwaadallu AAan sawa-i alssabeeli | قل هل أنبئكم بشر من ذلك مثوبة عند الله من لعنه الله وغضب عليه وجعل منهم القردة والخنازير وعبد الطاغوت أولئك شر مكانا وأضل عن سواء السبيل قُلْ هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرٍّ مِّن ذَلِكَ مَثُوبَةً عِندَ اللّهِ مَن لَّعَنَهُ اللّهُ وَغَضِبَ عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلَ مِنْهُمُ الْقِرَدَةَ وَالْخَنَازِيرَ وَعَبَدَ الطَّاغُوتَ أُوْلَـئِكَ شَرٌّ مَّكَاناً وَأَضَلُّ عَن سَوَاءِ السَّبِيلِ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| هل - "Shall| أنبئكم - I inform you| بشر - (of) worse| من - than| ذلك - that| مثوبة - (as) recompense| عند - from| الله - Allah?| من - Whom| لعنه - has (been) cursed| الله - (by) Allah| وغضب - and He became angry| عليه - with him| وجعل - and made| منهم - of them| القردة - [the] apes| والخنازير - and [the] swines,| وعبد - and (who) worshipped| الطاغوت - the false deities.| أولئك - Those| شر - (are) worse| مكانا - (in) position| وأضل - and farthest astray| عن - from| سواء - (the) even| السبيل - way."| | ||||||
| 4 [8:22] | Inna sharra alddawabbi AAindaAllahi alssummu albukmu allatheena layaAAqiloona | إن شر الدواب عند الله الصم البكم الذين لا يعقلون إِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَابَّ عِندَ اللّهِ الصُّمُّ الْبُكْمُ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| شر - worst| الدواب - (of) the living creatures| عند - near| الله - Allah| الصم - (are) the deaf,| البكم - the dumb -| الذين - those who| لا - (do) not| يعقلون - use (their) intellect.| | ||||||
| 5 [8:55] | Inna sharra alddawabbi AAindaAllahi allatheena kafaroo fahum la yu/minoona | إن شر الدواب عند الله الذين كفروا فهم لا يؤمنون إِنَّ شَرَّ الدَّوَابِّ عِندَ اللّهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَهُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||

| 6 [12:77] | Qaloo in yasriq faqad saraqa akhunlahu min qablu faasarraha yoosufu fee nafsihi walam yubdihalahum qala antum sharrun makanan waAllahuaAAlamu bima tasifoona | قالوا إن يسرق فقد سرق أخ له من قبل فأسرها يوسف في نفسه ولم يبدها لهم قال أنتم شر مكانا والله أعلم بما تصفون قَالُواْ إِن يَسْرِقْ فَقَدْ سَرَقَ أَخٌ لَّهُ مِن قَبْلُ فَأَسَرَّهَا يُوسُفُ فِي نَفْسِهِ وَلَمْ يُبْدِهَا لَهُمْ قَالَ أَنتُمْ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَاللّهُ أَعْلَمْ بِمَا تَصِفُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| إن - "If| يسرق - he steals -| فقد - then verily| سرق - stole| أخ - a brother| له - of his| من - before."| قبل - before."| فأسرها - But Yusuf kept it secret| يوسف - But Yusuf kept it secret| في - within| نفسه - himself,| ولم - and (did) not| يبدها - reveal it| لهم - to them.| قال - He said,| أنتم - "You| شر - (are the) worse| مكانا - (in) position,| والله - and Allah| أعلم - knows best| بما - of what| تصفون - you describe."| | ||||||
| 7 [19:75] | Qul man kana fee alddalalatifalyamdud lahu alrrahmanu maddan hattaitha raaw ma yooAAadoona imma alAAathabawa-imma alssaAAata fasayaAAlamoona man huwasharrun makanan waadAAafu jundan | قل من كان في الضلالة فليمدد له الرحمن مدا حتى إذا رأوا ما يوعدون إما العذاب وإما الساعة فسيعلمون من هو شر مكانا وأضعف جندا قُلْ مَن كَانَ فِي الضَّلاَلَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ لَهُ الرَّحْمَنُ مَدًّا حَتَّى إِذَا رَأَوْا مَا يُوعَدُونَ إِمَّا الْعَذَابَ وَإِمَّا السَّاعَةَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضْعَفُ جُندًا | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| من - "Whoever| كان - is| في - in| الضلالة - [the] error,| فليمدد - then surely will extend| له - for him| الرحمن - the Most Gracious| مدا - an extension,| حتى - until| إذا - when| رأوا - they see| ما - what| يوعدون - they were promised,| إما - either| العذاب - the punishment| وإما - or| الساعة - the Hour,| فسيعلمون - then they will know| من - who| هو - [he]| شر - (is) worst| مكانا - (in) position| وأضعف - and weaker| جندا - (in) forces."| | ||||||
| 8 [25:34] | Allatheena yuhsharoona AAalawujoohihim ila jahannama ola-ika sharrun makananwaadallu sabeelan | الذين يحشرون على وجوههم إلى جهنم أولئك شر مكانا وأضل سبيلا الَّذِينَ يُحْشَرُونَ عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمْ إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ أُوْلَئِكَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا | |||||
| Words | |الذين - Those who| يحشرون - will be gathered| على - on| وجوههم - their faces| إلى - to| جهنم - Hell,| أولئك - those| شر - (are the) worst| مكانا - (in) position| وأضل - and most astray| سبيلا - (from the) way.| | ||||||
| 9 [76:11] | Fawaqahumu Allahu sharra thalikaalyawmi walaqqahum nadratan wasurooran | فوقاهم الله شر ذلك اليوم ولقاهم نضرة وسرورا فَوَقَاهُمُ اللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ وَلَقَّاهُمْ نَضْرَةً وَسُرُورًا | |||||

| 10 [98:6] | Inna allatheena kafaroo min ahli alkitabiwaalmushrikeena fee nari jahannama khalideenafeeha ola-ika hum sharru albariyyati | إن الذين كفروا من أهل الكتاب والمشركين في نار جهنم خالدين فيها أولئك هم شر البرية إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أُوْلَئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ الْبَرِيَّةِ | |||||
