| 1 [2:87] | Walaqad atayna moosaalkitaba waqaffayna min baAAdihi bialrrusuliwaatayna AAeesa ibna maryama albayyinatiwaayyadnahu biroohi alqudusi afakullama jaakumrasoolun bima la tahwa anfusukumuistakbartum fafareeqan kaththabtum wafareeqan taqtuloona |  ولقد آتينا موسى الكتاب وقفينا من بعده بالرسل وآتينا عيسى ابن مريم البينات وأيدناه بروح القدس أفكلما جاءكم رسول بما لا تهوى أنفسكم استكبرتم ففريقا كذبتم وفريقا تقتلونوَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ وَقَفَّيْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ بِالرُّسُلِ وَآتَيْنَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَأَيَّدْنَاهُ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ أَفَكُلَّمَا جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ بِمَا لاَ تَهْوَى أَنفُسُكُمُ اسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ فَفَرِيقاً كَذَّبْتُمْ وَفَرِيقاً تَقْتُلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And indeed| آتينا - We gave| موسى - Musa| الكتاب - the Book| وقفينا - and We followed up| من - from| بعده - after him| بالرسل - with [the] Messengers.| وآتينا - And We gave| عيسى - Isa,| ابن - (the) son| مريم - (of) Maryam,| البينات - [the] clear signs| وأيدناه - and We supported him| بروح - (with)| القدس - the Holy Spirit.| أفكلما - Is it (not) so (that) whenever| جاءكم - came to you| رسول - a Messenger| بما - with what| لا - (does) not| تهوى - desire| أنفسكم - yourselves,| استكبرتم - you acted arrogantly?| ففريقا - So a party| كذبتم - you denied,| وفريقا - and a party| تقتلون - you kill(ed).| | ||||||
| 2 [2:92] | Walaqad jaakum moosa bialbayyinatithumma ittakhathtumu alAAijla min baAAdihi waantum thalimoona | ولقد جاءكم موسى بالبينات ثم اتخذتم العجل من بعده وأنتم ظالمون وَلَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ مُّوسَى بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ ثُمَّ اتَّخَذْتُمُ الْعِجْلَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَأَنتُمْ ظَالِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And indeed| جاءكم - came to you| موسى - Musa| بالبينات - with [the] clear signs,| ثم - then| اتخذتم - you took| العجل - the calf| من - from| بعده - after him| وأنتم - and you| ظالمون - (were) wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 3 [3:81] | Wa-ith akhatha Allahumeethaqa alnnabiyyeena lama ataytukummin kitabin wahikmatin thumma jaakumrasoolun musaddiqun lima maAAakum latu/minunna bihiwalatansurunnahu qala aaqrartum waakhathtumAAala thalikum isree qaloo aqrarnaqala faishhadoo waana maAAakum mina alshshahideena | وإذ أخذ الله ميثاق النبيين لما آتيتكم من كتاب وحكمة ثم جاءكم رسول مصدق لما معكم لتؤمنن به ولتنصرنه قال أأقررتم وأخذتم على ذلكم إصري قالوا أقررنا قال فاشهدوا وأنا معكم من الشاهدين وَإِذْ أَخَذَ اللّهُ مِيثَاقَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ لَمَا آتَيْتُكُم مِّن كِتَابٍ وَحِكْمَةٍ ثُمَّ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مُّصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَكُمْ لَتُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهِ وَلَتَنصُرُنَّهُ قَالَ أَأَقْرَرْتُمْ وَأَخَذْتُمْ عَلَى ذَلِكُمْ إِصْرِي قَالُواْ أَقْرَرْنَا قَالَ فَاشْهَدُواْ وَأَنَاْ مَعَكُم مِّنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| أخذ - took| الله - Allah| ميثاق - covenant| النبيين - (of) the Prophets,| لما - "Certainly, whatever| آتيتكم - I (have) given you| من - of| كتاب - (the) Book| وحكمة - and wisdom| ثم - then| جاءكم - comes to you| رسول - a Messenger| مصدق - confirming| لما - that which| معكم - (is) with you,| لتؤمنن - you must believe| به - in him| ولتنصرنه - and you must help him."| قال - He said,| أأقررتم - "Do you affirm| وأخذتم - and take| على - on| ذلكم - that (condition)| إصري - My Covenant?"| قالوا - They said,| أقررنا - "We affirm."| قال - He said,| فاشهدوا - "Then bear witness,| وأنا - and I (am)| معكم - with you| من - among| الشاهدين - the witnesses."| | ||||||
| 4 [3:183] | Allatheena qaloo inna AllahaAAahida ilayna alla nu/mina lirasoolin hattaya/tiyana biqurbanin ta/kuluhu alnnaruqul qad jaakum rusulun min qablee bialbayyinatiwabiallathee qultum falima qataltumoohum in kutum sadiqeena | الذين قالوا إن الله عهد إلينا ألا نؤمن لرسول حتى يأتينا بقربان تأكله النار قل قد جاءكم رسل من قبلي بالبينات وبالذي قلتم فلم قتلتموهم إن كنتم صادقين الَّذِينَ قَالُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَهِدَ إِلَيْنَا أَلاَّ نُؤْمِنَ لِرَسُولٍ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَنَا بِقُرْبَانٍ تَأْكُلُهُ النَّارُ قُلْ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِي بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَبِالَّذِي قُلْتُمْ فَلِمَ قَتَلْتُمُوهُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |الذين - Those who| قالوا - said,| إن - "Indeed| الله - Allah| عهد - (has) taken promise| إلينا - from us| ألا - that not| نؤمن - we (should) believe| لرسول - in a Messenger| حتى - until| يأتينا - he brings to us| بقربان - a sacrifice -| تأكله - consumes it| النار - the fire."| قل - Say,| قد - "Surely| جاءكم - came to you| رسل - Messengers| من - from| قبلي - before me| بالبينات - with the clear Signs| وبالذي - and with what| قلتم - you speak.| فلم - So why| قتلتموهم - you killed them,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful.| | ||||||
| 5 [4:170] | Ya ayyuha alnnasuqad jaakumu alrrasoolu bialhaqqi minrabbikum faaminoo khayran lakum wa-in takfuroo fa-innalillahi ma fee alssamawati waal-ardiwakana Allahu AAaleeman hakeeman | يا أيها الناس قد جاءكم الرسول بالحق من ربكم فآمنوا خيرا لكم وإن تكفروا فإن لله ما في السماوات والأرض وكان الله عليما حكيما يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَاءَكُمُ الرَّسُولُ بِالْحَقِّ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ فَآمِنُواْ خَيْرًا لَّكُمْ وَإِن تَكْفُرُواْ فَإِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَكَانَ اللّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O| الناس - mankind!| قد - Surely| جاءكم - has come to you| الرسول - the Messenger| بالحق - with the truth| من - from| ربكم - your Lord| فآمنوا - so believe,| خيرا - (it is) better| لكم - for you.| وإن - But if| تكفروا - you disbelieve,| فإن - then indeed,| لله - to Allah (belongs)| ما - whatever| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth.| وكان - And is| الله - Allah| عليما - All-Knowing,| حكيما - All-Wise.| | ||||||
| 6 [4:174] | Ya ayyuha alnnasuqad jaakum burhanun min rabbikum waanzalnailaykum nooran mubeenan | يا أيها الناس قد جاءكم برهان من ربكم وأنزلنا إليكم نورا مبينا يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَاءَكُم بُرْهَانٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَأَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ نُورًا مُّبِينًا | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O| الناس - mankind!| قد - Surely| جاءكم - has come to you| برهان - a convincing proof| من - from| ربكم - your Lord,| وأنزلنا - and We (have) sent down| إليكم - to you| نورا - a light,| مبينا - clear.| | ||||||
| 7 [5:15] | Ya ahla alkitabi qad jaakumrasooluna yubayyinu lakum katheeran mimma kuntumtukhfoona mina alkitabi wayaAAfoo AAan katheerin qad jaakummina Allahi noorun wakitabun mubeenun | يا أهل الكتاب قد جاءكم رسولنا يبين لكم كثيرا مما كنتم تخفون من الكتاب ويعفو عن كثير قد جاءكم من الله نور وكتاب مبين يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيرًا مِّمَّا كُنْتُمْ تُخْفُونَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَيَعْفُواْ عَن كَثِيرٍ قَدْ جَاءَكُم مِّنَ اللّهِ نُورٌ وَكِتَابٌ مُّبِينٌ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أهل - O People| الكتاب - (of) the Book!| قد - Surely| جاءكم - has come to you| رسولنا - Our Messenger| يبين - making clear| لكم - to you| كثيرا - much| مما - of what| كنتم - you used to| تخفون - conceal| من - of| الكتاب - the Scripture| ويعفو - and overlooking| عن - of| كثير - much.| قد - Surely| جاءكم - has come to you| من - from| الله - Allah| نور - a light| وكتاب - and a Book,| مبين - clear.| | ||||||
| 8 [5:19] | Ya ahla alkitabi qad jaakumrasooluna yubayyinu lakum AAala fatratin mina alrrusulian taqooloo ma jaana min basheerin walanatheerin faqad jaakum basheerun wanatheerunwaAllahu AAala kulli shay-in qadeerun | يا أهل الكتاب قد جاءكم رسولنا يبين لكم على فترة من الرسل أن تقولوا ما جاءنا من بشير ولا نذير فقد جاءكم بشير ونذير والله على كل شيء قدير يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ عَلَى فَتْرَةٍ مِّنَ الرُّسُلِ أَن تَقُولُواْ مَا جَاءَنَا مِن بَشِيرٍ وَلاَ نَذِيرٍ فَقَدْ جَاءَكُم بَشِيرٌ وَنَذِيرٌ وَاللّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أهل - O People| الكتاب - (of) the Book!| قد - Surely| جاءكم - has come to you| رسولنا - Our Messenger,| يبين - he makes clear| لكم - to you| على - [on]| فترة - (after) an interval (of cessation)| من - of| الرسل - the Messengers,| أن - lest| تقولوا - you say| ما - "Not| جاءنا - (has) come to us| من - any| بشير - bearer of glad tidings| ولا - and not| نذير - a warner."| فقد - But surely| جاءكم - has come to you| بشير - a bearer of glad tidings| ونذير - and a warner.| والله - And Allah| على - (is) on| كل - every| شيء - thing| قدير - All-Powerful.| | ||||||
| 9 [6:104] | Qad jaakum basa-iru minrabbikum faman absara falinafsihi waman AAamiya faAAalayhawama ana AAalaykum bihafeethin | قد جاءكم بصائر من ربكم فمن أبصر فلنفسه ومن عمي فعليها وما أنا عليكم بحفيظ قَدْ جَاءَكُم بَصَآئِرُ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ فَمَنْ أَبْصَرَ فَلِنَفْسِهِ وَمَنْ عَمِيَ فَعَلَيْهَا وَمَا أَنَاْ عَلَيْكُم بِحَفِيظٍ | |||||
| Words | |قد - Verily,| جاءكم - has come to you| بصائر - enlightenment| من - from| ربكم - your Lord.| فمن - Then whoever| أبصر - sees,| فلنفسه - then (it is) for his soul,| ومن - and whoever| عمي - (is) blind| فعليها - then (it is) against himself.| وما - And not| أنا - (am) I| عليكم - over you| بحفيظ - a guardian.| | ||||||
| 10 [6:157] | Aw taqooloo law anna onzila AAalaynaalkitabu lakunna ahda minhum faqad jaakumbayyinatun min rabbikum wahudan warahmatun faman athlamumimman kaththaba bi-ayati Allahi wasadafaAAanha sanajzee allatheena yasdifoona AAan ayatinasoo-a alAAathabi bima kanoo yasdifoona | أو تقولوا لو أنا أنزل علينا الكتاب لكنا أهدى منهم فقد جاءكم بينة من ربكم وهدى ورحمة فمن أظلم ممن كذب بآيات الله وصدف عنها سنجزي الذين يصدفون عن آياتنا سوء العذاب بما كانوا يصدفون أَوْ تَقُولُواْ لَوْ أَنَّا أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا الْكِتَابُ لَكُنَّا أَهْدَى مِنْهُمْ فَقَدْ جَاءَكُم بَيِّنَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن كَذَّبَ بِآيَاتِ اللّهِ وَصَدَفَ عَنْهَا سَنَجْزِي الَّذِينَ يَصْدِفُونَ عَنْ آيَاتِنَا سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَصْدِفُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أو - Or| تقولوا - you say,| لو - "If| أنا - [that]| أنزل - was revealed| علينا - to us| الكتاب - the Book| لكنا - surely we (would) have been| أهدى - better guided| منهم - than them.| فقد - So verily| جاءكم - has come to you| بينة - clear proofs| من - from| ربكم - your Lord| وهدى - and a Guidance| ورحمة - and a Mercy.| فمن - Then who| أظلم - (is) more unjust| ممن - than (he) who| كذب - denies| بآيات - [with] (the) Verses| الله - (of) Allah,| وصدف - and turns away| عنها - from them?| سنجزي - We will recompense| الذين - those who| يصدفون - turn away| عن - from| آياتنا - Our Signs| سوء - (with) an evil| العذاب - punishment| بما - because| كانوا - they used to| يصدفون - turn away.| | ||||||
| 11 [7:63] | Awa AAajibtum an jaakum thikrunmin rabbikum AAala rajulin minkum liyunthirakumwalitattaqoo walaAAallakum turhamoona | أوعجبتم أن جاءكم ذكر من ربكم على رجل منكم لينذركم ولتتقوا ولعلكم ترحمون أَوَعَجِبْتُمْ أَن جَاءَكُمْ ذِكْرٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِّنكُمْ لِيُنذِرَكُمْ وَلِتَتَّقُواْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أوعجبتم - Do you wonder| أن - that| جاءكم - has come to you| ذكر - a reminder| من - from| ربكم - your Lord| على - on| رجل - a man| منكم - among you,| لينذركم - that he may warn you| ولتتقوا - and that you may fear,| ولعلكم - and so that you may| ترحمون - receive mercy."| | ||||||
| 12 [7:69] | Awa AAajibtum an jaakum thikrunmin rabbikum AAala rajulin minkum liyunthirakum waothkurooith jaAAalakum khulafaa min baAAdi qawmi noohinwazadakum fee alkhalqi bastatan faothkurooalaa Allahi laAAallakum tuflihoona | أوعجبتم أن جاءكم ذكر من ربكم على رجل منكم لينذركم واذكروا إذ جعلكم خلفاء من بعد قوم نوح وزادكم في الخلق بسطة فاذكروا آلاء الله لعلكم تفلحون أَوَعَجِبْتُمْ أَن جَاءَكُمْ ذِكْرٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِّنكُمْ لِيُنذِرَكُمْ وَاذكُرُواْ إِذْ جَعَلَكُمْ خُلَفَاءَ مِن بَعْدِ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَزَادَكُمْ فِي الْخَلْقِ بَسْطَةً فَاذْكُرُواْ آلاَءَ اللّهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أوعجبتم - Do you wonder| أن - that| جاءكم - has come to you| ذكر - a reminder| من - from| ربكم - your Lord| على - on| رجل - a man| منكم - among you| لينذركم - that he may warn you?| واذكروا - And remember| إذ - when| جعلكم - He made you| خلفاء - successors| من - from| بعد - after| قوم - (the) people| نوح - (of) Nuh,| وزادكم - and increased you| في - in| الخلق - the stature| بسطة - extensively.| فاذكروا - So remember| آلاء - (the) Bounties| الله - (of) Allah| لعلكم - so that you may| تفلحون - succeed."| | ||||||
| 13 [8:19] | In tastaftihoo faqad jaakumualfathu wa-in tantahoo fahuwa khayrun lakum wa-intaAAoodoo naAAud walan tughniya AAankum fi-atukum shay-an walawkathurat waanna Allaha maAAa almu/mineena | إن تستفتحوا فقد جاءكم الفتح وإن تنتهوا فهو خير لكم وإن تعودوا نعد ولن تغني عنكم فئتكم شيئا ولو كثرت وأن الله مع المؤمنين إِن تَسْتَفْتِحُواْ فَقَدْ جَاءَكُمُ الْفَتْحُ وَإِن تَنتَهُواْ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَإِن تَعُودُواْ نَعُدْ وَلَن تُغْنِيَ عَنكُمْ فِئَتُكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَوْ كَثُرَتْ وَأَنَّ اللّهَ مَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |إن - If| تستفتحوا - you ask for victory| فقد - then certainly| جاءكم - has come to you| الفتح - the victory.| وإن - And if| تنتهوا - you desist,| فهو - then it (is)| خير - good| لكم - for you,| وإن - but if| تعودوا - you return,| نعد - We will return (too).| ولن - And never| تغني - will avail| عنكم - you| فئتكم - your forces| شيئا - anything,| ولو - even if| كثرت - (they are) numerous.| وأن - And that| الله - Allah| مع - (is) with| المؤمنين - the believers.| | ||||||
| 14 [9:128] | Laqad jaakum rasoolun min anfusikumAAazeezun AAalayhi ma AAanittum hareesunAAalaykum bialmu/mineena raoofun raheemun | لقد جاءكم رسول من أنفسكم عزيز عليه ما عنتم حريص عليكم بالمؤمنين رءوف رحيم لَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ عَزِيزٌ عَلَيْهِ مَا عَنِتُّمْ حَرِيصٌ عَلَيْكُم بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |لقد - Certainly,| جاءكم - (has) come to you| رسول - a Messenger| من - from| أنفسكم - yourselves.| عزيز - Grievous| عليه - to him| ما - (is) what| عنتم - you suffer,| حريص - (he is) concerned| عليكم - over you,| بالمؤمنين - to the believers| رءوف - (he is) kind| رحيم - (and) merciful.| | ||||||
| 15 [10:77] | Qala moosa ataqooloona lilhaqqilamma jaakum asihrun hatha walayuflihu alssahiroona | قال موسى أتقولون للحق لما جاءكم أسحر هذا ولا يفلح الساحرون قَالَ مُوسَى أَتقُولُونَ لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَكُمْ أَسِحْرٌ هَـذَا وَلاَ يُفْلِحُ السَّاحِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - Musa said,| موسى - Musa said,| أتقولون - "Do you say| للحق - about the truth| لما - when| جاءكم - it has come to you?| أسحر - Is this magic?| هذا - Is this magic?| ولا - But (will) not| يفلح - succeed| الساحرون - the magicians."| | ||||||
| 16 [10:108] | Qul ya ayyuha alnnasuqad jaakumu alhaqqu min rabbikum famani ihtadafa-innama yahtadee linafsihi waman dalla fa-innamayadillu AAalayha wama ana AAalaykumbiwakeelin | قل يا أيها الناس قد جاءكم الحق من ربكم فمن اهتدى فإنما يهتدي لنفسه ومن ضل فإنما يضل عليها وما أنا عليكم بوكيل قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَاءَكُمُ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ فَمَنِ اهْتَدَى فَإِنَّمَا يَهْتَدِي لِنَفْسِهِ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا وَمَا أَنَاْ عَلَيْكُم بِوَكِيلٍ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| يا - O| أيها - "O mankind!| الناس - "O mankind!| قد - Verily| جاءكم - has come to you| الحق - the truth| من - from| ربكم - your Lord.| فمن - So whoever| اهتدى - (is) guided| فإنما - then only| يهتدي - (he is) guided| لنفسه - for his soul,| ومن - and whoever| ضل - goes astray| فإنما - then only| يضل - he strays| عليها - against it.| وما - And I am not| أنا - And I am not| عليكم - over you| بوكيل - a guardian."| | ||||||
| 17 [34:32] | Qala allatheena istakbaroolillatheena istudAAifoo anahnu sadadnakumAAani alhuda baAAda ith jaakum bal kuntummujrimeena | قال الذين استكبروا للذين استضعفوا أنحن صددناكم عن الهدى بعد إذ جاءكم بل كنتم مجرمين قَالَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا أَنَحْنُ صَدَدْنَاكُمْ عَنِ الْهُدَى بَعْدَ إِذْ جَاءَكُم بَلْ كُنتُم مُّجْرِمِينَ | |||||

| 18 [40:28] | Waqala rajulun mu/minun min alifirAAawna yaktumu eemanahu ataqtuloona rajulan an yaqoolarabbiyya Allahu waqad jaakum bialbayyinatimin rabbikum wa-in yaku kathiban faAAalayhi kathibuhuwa-in yaku sadiqan yusibkum baAAdu allatheeyaAAidukum inna Allaha la yahdee man huwa musrifunkaththabun | وقال رجل مؤمن من آل فرعون يكتم إيمانه أتقتلون رجلا أن يقول ربي الله وقد جاءكم بالبينات من ربكم وإن يك كاذبا فعليه كذبه وإن يك صادقا يصبكم بعض الذي يعدكم إن الله لا يهدي من هو مسرف كذاب وَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مُّؤْمِنٌ مِّنْ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَكْتُمُ إِيْمَانَهُ أَتَقْتُلُونَ رَجُلًا أَن يَقُولَ رَبِّيَ اللَّهُ وَقَدْ جَاءَكُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ وَإِن يَكُ كَاذِبًا فَعَلَيْهِ كَذِبُهُ وَإِن يَكُ صَادِقًا يُصِبْكُم بَعْضُ الَّذِي يَعِدُكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌ كَذَّابٌ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - And said| رجل - a man,| مؤمن - believing,| من - from| آل - (the) family| فرعون - (of) Firaun| يكتم - who conceal(ed)| إيمانه - his faith,| أتقتلون - "Will you kill| رجلا - a man| أن - because| يقول - he says,| ربي - "My Lord| الله - (is) Allah,"| وقد - and indeed| جاءكم - he has brought you| بالبينات - clear proofs| من - from| ربكم - your Lord?| وإن - And if| يك - he is| كاذبا - a liar,| فعليه - then upon him| كذبه - (is) his lie;| وإن - and if| يك - he is| صادقا - truthful,| يصبكم - (there) will strike you| بعض - some (of)| الذي - (that) which| يعدكم - he threatens you.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| لا - (does) not| يهدي - guide| من - (one) who| هو - [he]| مسرف - (is) a transgressor,| كذاب - a liar.| | ||||||
| 19 [40:34] | Walaqad jaakum yoosufu min qablu bialbayyinatifama ziltum fee shakkin mimma jaakum bihi hattaitha halaka qultum lan yabAAatha Allahu minbaAAdihi rasoolan kathalika yudillu Allahuman huwa musrifun murtabun | ولقد جاءكم يوسف من قبل بالبينات فما زلتم في شك مما جاءكم به حتى إذا هلك قلتم لن يبعث الله من بعده رسولا كذلك يضل الله من هو مسرف مرتاب وَلَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ يُوسُفُ مِن قَبْلُ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا زِلْتُمْ فِي شَكٍّ مِّمَّا جَاءَكُم بِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا هَلَكَ قُلْتُمْ لَن يَبْعَثَ اللَّهُ مِن بَعْدِهِ رَسُولًا كَذَلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌ مُّرْتَابٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And indeed,| جاءكم - came to you| يوسف - Yusuf| من - before| قبل - before| بالبينات - with clear proofs,| فما - but not| زلتم - you ceased| في - in| شك - doubt| مما - about what| جاءكم - he brought to you| به - [with it],| حتى - until| إذا - when| هلك - he died,| قلتم - you said,| لن - "Never| يبعث - will Allah raise| الله - will Allah raise| من - after him| بعده - after him| رسولا - a Messenger."| كذلك - Thus,| يضل - Allah lets go astray| الله - Allah lets go astray| من - who| هو - [he]| مسرف - (is) a transgressor,| مرتاب - a doubter."| | ||||||
| 20 [49:6] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooin jaakum fasiqun binaba-in fatabayyanoo an tuseebooqawman bijahalatin fatusbihoo AAala mafaAAaltum nadimeena | يا أيها الذين آمنوا إن جاءكم فاسق بنبإ فتبينوا أن تصيبوا قوما بجهالة فتصبحوا على ما فعلتم نادمين يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن جَاءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌ بِنَبَإٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوا أَن تُصِيبُوا قَوْمًا بِجَهَالَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُوا عَلَى مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نَادِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you who believe!| الذين - O you who believe!| آمنوا - O you who believe!| إن - If| جاءكم - comes to you| فاسق - a wicked person| بنبإ - with information,| فتبينوا - investigate,| أن - lest| تصيبوا - you harm| قوما - a people| بجهالة - in ignorance,| فتصبحوا - then you become,| على - over| ما - what| فعلتم - you have done,| نادمين - regretful.| | ||||||
