[3:183] | Allatheena qaloo inna AllahaAAahida ilayna alla nu/mina lirasoolin hattaya/tiyana biqurbanin ta/kuluhu alnnaruqul qad jaakum rusulun min qablee bialbayyinatiwabiallathee qultum falima qataltumoohum in kutum sadiqeena
|  الذين قالوا إن الله عهد إلينا ألا نؤمن لرسول حتى يأتينا بقربان تأكله النار قل قد جاءكم رسل من قبلي بالبينات وبالذي قلتم فلم قتلتموهم إن كنتم صادقين
الَّذِينَ قَالُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَهِدَ إِلَيْنَا أَلاَّ نُؤْمِنَ لِرَسُولٍ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَنَا بِقُرْبَانٍ تَأْكُلُهُ النَّارُ قُلْ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِي بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَبِالَّذِي قُلْتُمْ فَلِمَ قَتَلْتُمُوهُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ |
| Words | |الذين - Those who| قالوا - said,| إن - "Indeed| الله - Allah| عهد - (has) taken promise| إلينا - from us| ألا - that not| نؤمن - we (should) believe| لرسول - in a Messenger| حتى - until| يأتينا - he brings to us| بقربان - a sacrifice -| تأكله - consumes it| النار - the fire."| قل - Say,| قد - "Surely| جاءكم - came to you| رسل - Messengers| من - from| قبلي - before me| بالبينات - with the clear Signs| وبالذي - and with what| قلتم - you speak.| فلم - So why| قتلتموهم - you killed them,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful.| |

| እነዚያ ለማንኛውም መልክተኛ «እሳት የምትበላው የኾነን ቁርባን እስከሚያመጣልን ድረስ ላናምን አላህ ወደኛ አዟል» ያሉ ናቸው፡፡«መልክተኞች ከእኔ በፊት በተዓምራትና በዚያም ባላችሁት (ቁርባን) በእርግጥ መጥተውላችኋል፡፡ እውነተኞች ከኾናችሁ ታዲያ ለምን ገደላችኋቸው» በላቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { الَّذين } نعت للذين قبله { قالوا } لمحمد { إن الله } قد { عهد إلينا } في التوراة { ألا نؤمن لرسول } نصدقه { حتى يأتينا بقربانٍ تأكله النار } فلا نؤمن لك حتى تأتينا به وهو ما يتقرب به إلى الله من نعم وغيرها فإن قُبل جاءت نار بيضاء من السماء فأحرقته وإلا بقي مكانه وعُهد إلى بني إسرائيل ذلك إلا في المسيح ومحمد قال تعالى { قل } لهم توبيخا { قد جاءكم رسلٌ من قبلي بالبينات } بالمعجزات { وبالذي قلتم } كزكريا ويحيى فقتلتموهم والخطابُ لمن في زمن نبينا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وإن كان الفعل لأجدادهم لرضاهم به { فلم قتلتموهم إن كنتم صادقين } في أنكم تؤمنون عند الإتيان به . |
| Wid innan: "Ih, Öebbi Iâahed a$ ur neppamen s Umazan, alamma issenâat a$ d asfel, ara teçç tmes". Ini: "ni$ usan kwen id imazanen, uqbel iw, s ubeggen, akw s wayen d tennam. Ihi, acimi i ten ten$am, ma tessawalem tidep"? |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | সে সমস্ত লোক, যারা বলে যে, আল্লাহ আমাদিগকে এমন কোন রসূলের ওপর বিশ্বাস না করতে বলে রেখেছেন যতক্ষণ না তারা আমাদের নিকট এমন কোরবানী নিয়ে আসবেন যাকে আগুন গ্রাস করে নেবে। তুমি তাদের বলে দাও, তোমাদের মাঝে আমার পূর্বে বহু রসূল নিদর্শনসমূহ এবং তোমরা যা আব্দার করেছ তা নিয়ে এসেছিলেন, তখন তোমরা কেন তাদেরকে হত্যা করলে যদি তোমরা সত্য হয়ে থাক। |
| Literal | Those who said: "That God promised/recommended to us that We not believe to a messenger until he comes/brings to us with an approachment to God (offering that) the fire eats it." Say: "Messengers had come to you from before me with the evidences , and with what you said, so why (have) you killed them, if you were truthful?" |
| Yusuf Ali | They (also) said: "Allah took our promise not to believe in an messenger unless He showed us a sacrifice consumed by Fire (From heaven)." Say: "There came to you messengers before me, with clear Signs and even with what ye ask for: why then did ye slay them, if ye speak the truth?" |
| Pickthal | (The same are) those who say: Lo! Allah hath charged us that we believe not in any messenger until he bring us an offering which fire (from heaven) shall devour. Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Messengers came unto you before me with miracles, and with that (very miracle) which ye describe. Why then did ye slay them? (Answer that) if ye are truthful! |
| Arberry | Those same men said, 'God has made covenant with us, that we believe not any Messenger until he brings to us a sacrifice devoured by fire.' Say: 'Messengers have come to you before me bearing clear signs, and that you spoke of; why therefore did you slay them, if you speak truly?' |
| Shakir | (Those are they) who said: Surely Allah has enjoined us that we should not believe in any messenger until he brings us an offering which the fire consumes. Say: Indeed, there came to you messengers before me with clear arguments and with that which you demand; why then did you kill them if you are truthful? |
| Sarwar | (Muhammad), say to those who say, 'God has commanded us not to believe any Messenger unless he offers a burnt offering,' (Muhammad) say, "Messengers came to you before me with certain miracles and with that which you had asked for (burnt offering). Why, then, did you slay them if you were true in your claim?" |

| Fateh Muhammad Jalandhary | جو لوگ کہتے ہی کہ خدا نے ہمیں حکم بھیجا ہے کہ جب تک کوئی پیغمبر ہمارے پاس ایسی نیاز لے کر نہ آئے جس کو آگ آکر کھا جائے تب تک ہم اس پر ایمان نہ لائیں گے (اے پیغمبر ان سے) کہہ دو کہ مجھ سے پہلے کئی پیغمبر تمہارے پاس کھلی ہوئی نشانیاں لے کر آئے اور وہ (معجزہ) بھی لائے جو تم کہتے ہو تو اگر سچے ہو تو تم نے ان کو قتل کیوں کیا؟ |

| Abul Ala Maududi | جو لوگ کہتے ہیں "اللہ نے ہم کو ہدایت کر دی ہے کہ ہم کسی کو رسول تسلیم نہ کریں جب تک وہ ہمارے سامنے ایسی قربانی نہ کرے جسے (غیب سے آکر) آگ کھا لے "، اُن سے کہو، "تمہارے پاس مجھ سے پہلے بہت سے رسول آ چکے ہیں جو بہت سی روشن نشانیاں لائے تھے اور وہ نشانی بھی لائے تھے جس کا تم ذکر کرتے ہو، پھر اگر (ایمان لانے کے لیے یہ شرط پیش کرنے میں) تم سچے ہو تو اُن رسولوں کو تم نے کیوں قتل کیا؟" |
