| 1 [2:100] | Awa kullama AAahadoo AAahdannabathahu fareequn minhum bal aktharuhum layu/minoona |  أوكلما عاهدوا عهدا نبذه فريق منهم بل أكثرهم لا يؤمنونأَوَكُلَّمَا عَاهَدُواْ عَهْداً نَّبَذَهُ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُم بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أوكلما - And is (it not that) whenever| عاهدوا - they took| عهدا - a covenant,| نبذه - threw it away| فريق - a party| منهم - of them?| بل - Nay,| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (do) not| يؤمنون - believe.| | ||||||
| 2 [6:37] | Waqaloo lawla nuzzila AAalayhiayatun min rabbihi qul inna Allaha qadirunAAala an yunazzila ayatan walakinnaaktharahum la yaAAlamoona | وقالوا لولا نزل عليه آية من ربه قل إن الله قادر على أن ينزل آية ولكن أكثرهم لا يعلمون وَقَالُواْ لَوْلاَ نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ آيَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِ قُلْ إِنَّ اللّهَ قَادِرٌ عَلَى أَن يُنَزِّلٍ آيَةً وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقالوا - And they said,| لولا - "Why (is) not| نزل - sent down| عليه - to him| آية - a Sign| من - from| ربه - his Lord?"| قل - Say,| إن - "Indeed| الله - Allah| قادر - (is) Able| على - [on]| أن - to| ينزل - send down| آية - a Sign,| ولكن - but| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know."| | ||||||
| 3 [6:111] | Walaw annana nazzalnailayhimu almala-ikata wakallamahumu almawta wahasharnaAAalayhim kulla shay-in qubulan ma kanoo liyu/minooilla an yashaa Allahu walakinnaaktharahum yajhaloona | ولو أننا نزلنا إليهم الملائكة وكلمهم الموتى وحشرنا عليهم كل شيء قبلا ما كانوا ليؤمنوا إلا أن يشاء الله ولكن أكثرهم يجهلون وَلَوْ أَنَّنَا نَزَّلْنَا إِلَيْهِمُ الْمَلَآئِكَةَ وَكَلَّمَهُمُ الْمَوْتَى وَحَشَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ قُبُلاً مَّا كَانُواْ لِيُؤْمِنُواْ إِلاَّ أَن يَشَاءَ اللّهُ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَجْهَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولو - And (even) if| أننا - [that] We (had)| نزلنا - [We] sent down| إليهم - to them| الملائكة - the Angels| وكلمهم - and spoken to them| الموتى - the dead| وحشرنا - and We gathered| عليهم - before them| كل - every| شيء - thing| قبلا - face to face,| ما - not| كانوا - they were| ليؤمنوا - to believe| إلا - unless| أن - [that]| يشاء - wills| الله - Allah.| ولكن - But| أكثرهم - most of them| يجهلون - (are) ignorant.| | ||||||
| 4 [7:17] | Thumma laatiyannahum min bayniaydeehim wamin khalfihim waAAan aymanihim waAAan shama-ilihimwala tajidu aktharahum shakireena | ثم لآتينهم من بين أيديهم ومن خلفهم وعن أيمانهم وعن شمائلهم ولا تجد أكثرهم شاكرين ثُمَّ لَآتِيَنَّهُم مِّن بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ وَعَنْ أَيْمَانِهِمْ وَعَن شَمَآئِلِهِمْ وَلاَ تَجِدُ أَكْثَرَهُمْ شَاكِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| لآتينهم - surely, I will come to them| من - from| بين - before| أيديهم - them| ومن - and from| خلفهم - behind them| وعن - and from| أيمانهم - their right| وعن - and from| شمائلهم - their left,| ولا - and not| تجد - You (will) find| أكثرهم - most of them| شاكرين - grateful."| | ||||||
| 5 [7:102] | Wama wajadna li-aktharihimmin AAahdin wa-in wajadna aktharahum lafasiqeena | وما وجدنا لأكثرهم من عهد وإن وجدنا أكثرهم لفاسقين وَمَا وَجَدْنَا لِأَكْثَرِهِم مِّنْ عَهْدٍ وَإِن وَجَدْنَا أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَفَاسِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| وجدنا - We found| لأكثرهم - for most of them| من - any| عهد - covenant.| وإن - But| وجدنا - We found| أكثرهم - most of them| لفاسقين - certainly, defiantly disobedient.| | ||||||
| 6 [7:131] | Fa-itha jaat-humu alhasanatuqaloo lana hathihi wa-in tusibhumsayyi-atun yattayyaroo bimoosa waman maAAahu alainnama ta-iruhum AAinda Allahi walakinnaaktharahum la yaAAlamoona | فإذا جاءتهم الحسنة قالوا لنا هذه وإن تصبهم سيئة يطيروا بموسى ومن معه ألا إنما طائرهم عند الله ولكن أكثرهم لا يعلمون فَإِذَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْحَسَنَةُ قَالُواْ لَنَا هَـذِهِ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَطَّيَّرُواْ بِمُوسَى وَمَن مَّعَهُ أَلاَ إِنَّمَا طَائِرُهُمْ عِندَ اللّهِ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فإذا - But when| جاءتهم - came to them| الحسنة - the good| قالوا - they said,| لنا - "For us| هذه - (is) this."| وإن - And if| تصبهم - afflicts them| سيئة - bad,| يطيروا - they ascribe evil omens| بموسى - to Musa| ومن - and who| معه - (were) with him.| ألا - Behold!| إنما - Only| طائرهم - their evil omens| عند - (are) with| الله - Allah| ولكن - but| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 7 [8:34] | Wama lahum alla yuAAaththibahumuAllahu wahum yasuddoona AAani almasjidi alharamiwama kanoo awliyaahu in awliyaohu illaalmuttaqoona walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona | وما لهم ألا يعذبهم الله وهم يصدون عن المسجد الحرام وما كانوا أولياءه إن أولياؤه إلا المتقون ولكن أكثرهم لا يعلمون وَمَا لَهُمْ أَلاَّ يُعَذِّبَهُمُ اللّهُ وَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَمَا كَانُواْ أَوْلِيَاءَهُ إِنْ أَوْلِيَآؤُهُ إِلاَّ الْمُتَّقُونَ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وما - But what| لهم - (is) for them| ألا - that not| يعذبهم - (should) punish them| الله - Allah| وهم - while they| يصدون - hinder (people)| عن - from| المسجد - Al-Masjid| الحرام - Al-Haraam,| وما - while not| كانوا - they are| أولياءه - its guardians?| إن - Not (can be)| أولياؤه - its guardians| إلا - except| المتقون - the ones who fear Allah,| ولكن - but| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 8 [10:36] | Wama yattabiAAu aktharuhum illathannan inna alththanna layughnee mina alhaqqi shay-an inna Allaha AAaleemunbima yafAAaloona | وما يتبع أكثرهم إلا ظنا إن الظن لا يغني من الحق شيئا إن الله عليم بما يفعلون وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ أَكْثَرُهُمْ إِلاَّ ظَنًّا إِنَّ الظَّنَّ لاَ يُغْنِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ شَيْئًا إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلَيمٌ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| يتبع - follow| أكثرهم - most of them| إلا - except| ظنا - assumption.| إن - Indeed,| الظن - the assumption| لا - (does) not| يغني - avail| من - against| الحق - the truth| شيئا - anything.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| عليم - (is) All-Knower| بما - of what| يفعلون - they do.| | ||||||
| 9 [10:55] | Ala inna lillahi ma feealssamawati waal-ardi alainna waAAda Allahi haqqun walakinnaaktharahum la yaAAlamoona | ألا إن لله ما في السماوات والأرض ألا إن وعد الله حق ولكن أكثرهم لا يعلمون أَلاَ إِنَّ لِلّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَلاَ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللّهِ حَقٌّ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ألا - No doubt,| إن - indeed,| لله - for Allah| ما - (is) whatever| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth.| ألا - No doubt| إن - indeed,| وعد - (the) Promise of Allah| الله - (the) Promise of Allah| حق - (is) true.| ولكن - But| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 10 [10:60] | Wama thannu allatheenayaftaroona AAala Allahi alkathiba yawmaalqiyamati inna Allaha lathoo fadlinAAala alnnasi walakinna aktharahum layashkuroona | وما ظن الذين يفترون على الله الكذب يوم القيامة إن الله لذو فضل على الناس ولكن أكثرهم لا يشكرون وَمَا ظَنُّ الَّذِينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللّهِ الْكَذِبَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّ اللّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَشْكُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And what| ظن - (will be the) assumption| الذين - (of) those who| يفترون - invent| على - against| الله - Allah| الكذب - the lie| يوم - (on) the Day| القيامة - (of) the Judgment?| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| لذو - (is) surely Full (of) Bounty| فضل - (is) surely Full (of) Bounty| على - to| الناس - the mankind,| ولكن - but| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (are) not| يشكرون - grateful.| | ||||||
| 11 [12:106] | Wama yu/minu aktharuhum biAllahiilla wahum mushrikoona | وما يؤمن أكثرهم بالله إلا وهم مشركون وَمَا يُؤْمِنُ أَكْثَرُهُمْ بِاللّهِ إِلاَّ وَهُم مُّشْرِكُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| يؤمن - believe| أكثرهم - most of them| بالله - in Allah| إلا - except| وهم - while they| مشركون - associate partners with Him.| | ||||||
| 12 [16:75] | Daraba Allahu mathalan AAabdanmamlookan la yaqdiru AAala shay-in waman razaqnahuminna rizqan hasanan fahuwa yunfiqu minhu sirranwajahran hal yastawoona alhamdu lillahi balaktharuhum la yaAAlamoona | ضرب الله مثلا عبدا مملوكا لا يقدر على شيء ومن رزقناه منا رزقا حسنا فهو ينفق منه سرا وجهرا هل يستوون الحمد لله بل أكثرهم لا يعلمون ضَرَبَ اللّهُ مَثَلاً عَبْدًا مَّمْلُوكًا لاَّ يَقْدِرُ عَلَى شَيْءٍ وَمَن رَّزَقْنَاهُ مِنَّا رِزْقًا حَسَنًا فَهُوَ يُنفِقُ مِنْهُ سِرًّا وَجَهْرًا هَلْ يَسْتَوُونَ الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ضرب - Allah sets forth| الله - Allah sets forth| مثلا - the example| عبدا - (of) a slave| مملوكا - (who is) owned,| لا - not| يقدر - he has power| على - on| شيء - anything| ومن - and (one) whom| رزقناه - We provided him| منا - from Us| رزقا - a provision| حسنا - good,| فهو - so he| ينفق - spends| منه - from it,| سرا - secretly| وجهرا - and publicly.| هل - Can| يستوون - they be equal?| الحمد - All praise| لله - (is) for Allah!| بل - Nay,| أكثرهم - but most of them| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 13 [16:101] | Wa-itha baddalna ayatanmakana ayatin waAllahu aAAlamu bimayunazzilu qaloo innama anta muftarin bal aktharuhumla yaAAlamoona | وإذا بدلنا آية مكان آية والله أعلم بما ينزل قالوا إنما أنت مفتر بل أكثرهم لا يعلمون وَإِذَا بَدَّلْنَا آيَةً مَّكَانَ آيَةٍ وَاللّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُنَزِّلُ قَالُواْ إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مُفْتَرٍ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| بدلنا - We substitute| آية - a Verse| مكان - (in) place| آية - (of) a Verse,| والله - and Allah -| أعلم - (is) most knowing| بما - of what| ينزل - He sends down| قالوا - they say,| إنما - "Only| أنت - you| مفتر - (are) an inventor."| بل - Nay,| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 14 [21:24] | Ami ittakhathoo min doonihi alihatanqul hatoo burhanakum hatha thikru manmaAAiya wathikru man qablee bal aktharuhum layaAAlamoona alhaqqa fahum muAAridoona | أم اتخذوا من دونه آلهة قل هاتوا برهانكم هذا ذكر من معي وذكر من قبلي بل أكثرهم لا يعلمون الحق فهم معرضون أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ هَذَا ذِكْرُ مَن مَّعِيَ وَذِكْرُ مَن قَبْلِي بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ الْحَقَّ فَهُم مُّعْرِضُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أم - Or| اتخذوا - (have) they taken| من - besides Him| دونه - besides Him| آلهة - gods?| قل - Say,| هاتوا - "Bring| برهانكم - your proof.| هذا - This| ذكر - (is) a Reminder| من - (for those) who| معي - (are) with me,| وذكر - and a Reminder| من - (for those) who| قبلي - (were) before me."| بل - But| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know| الحق - the truth| فهم - so they| معرضون - (are) averse.| | ||||||
| 15 [25:44] | Am tahsabu anna aktharahumyasmaAAoona aw yaAAqiloona in hum illa kaal-anAAamibal hum adallu sabeelan | أم تحسب أن أكثرهم يسمعون أو يعقلون إن هم إلا كالأنعام بل هم أضل سبيلا أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَالْأَنْعَامِ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا | |||||
