| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[10:36] | Wama yattabiAAu aktharuhum illathannan inna alththanna layughnee mina alhaqqi shay-an inna Allaha AAaleemunbima yafAAaloona
|  وما يتبع أكثرهم إلا ظنا إن الظن لا يغني من الحق شيئا إن الله عليم بما يفعلون
وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ أَكْثَرُهُمْ إِلاَّ ظَنًّا إِنَّ الظَّنَّ لاَ يُغْنِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ شَيْئًا إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلَيمٌ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ |

| አብዛኞቻቸውም ጥርጣሬን እንጂ አይከተሉም፡፡ ጥርጣሬ ከእውነት ምንም አያብቃቃም፡፡ አላህ የሚሠሩትን ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ነው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وما يتبع أكثرهم } في عبادة الأصنام { إلا ظنا } حيث قلدوا فيه آباءهم { إن الظن لا يُغني من الحق شيئا } فيما المطلوب منه العلم { إن الله عليم بما يفعلون } فيجازيهم عليه . |
| Tegwti, segsen, teddun kan d nnwaya. Nnwaya, war ccekk, ur tebbwi acemma si tidep. Ih, Öebbi Issen acu xeddmen. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | বস্তুতঃ তাদের অধিকাংশই শুধু আন্দাজ-অনুমানের উপর চলে, অথচ আন্দাজ-অনুমান সত্যের বেলায় কোন কাজেই আসে না। আল্লাহ ভাল করেই জানেন, তারা যা কিছু করে। |
| Literal | And most of them do not follow except assumption/supposition , that the assumption/supposition does not suffice (replace) from the truth a thing, that God (is) knowledgeable with what they make/do. |
| Yusuf Ali | But most of them follow nothing but fancy: truly fancy can be of no avail against truth. Verily Allah is well aware of all that they do. |
| Pickthal | Most of them follow not but conjecture. Assuredly conjecture can by no means take the place of truth. Lo! Allah is Aware of what they do. |
| Arberry | And the most of them follow only surmise, and surmise avails naught against truth. Surely God knows the things they do. |
