| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[7:102] | Wama wajadna li-aktharihimmin AAahdin wa-in wajadna aktharahum lafasiqeena
|  وما وجدنا لأكثرهم من عهد وإن وجدنا أكثرهم لفاسقين
وَمَا وَجَدْنَا لِأَكْثَرِهِم مِّنْ عَهْدٍ وَإِن وَجَدْنَا أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَفَاسِقِينَ |
| Words | |وما - And not| وجدنا - We found| لأكثرهم - for most of them| من - any| عهد - covenant.| وإن - But| وجدنا - We found| أكثرهم - most of them| لفاسقين - certainly, defiantly disobedient.| |

| ለብዙዎቻቸውም በቃል ኪዳናቸው መሙላትን አላገኘንም፡፡ አብዛኞቻቸውንም በእርግጥ አመጸኞች ኾነው አገኘናቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وما وجدنا لأكثرهم } أي الناس { من عهد } أي وفاء بعهدهم يوم أخذ الميثاق { وإن } مخففة { وجدنا أكثرهم لفاسقين } . |
| Ur Nufi nnesba ar tegwti nnsen. Nufa, tegwti nnsen, d iballa$en. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর তাদের অধিকাংশ লোককেই আমি প্রতিজ্ঞা বাস্তবায়নকারীরূপে পাইনি; বরং তাদের অধিকাংশকে পেয়েছি হুকুম অমান্যকারী। |
| Literal | And We did not find to most of them from a promise/contract , and that truly We found most of them debauchers (E) . |
| Yusuf Ali | Most of them We found not men (true) to their covenant: but most of them We found rebellious and disobedient. |
