[12:97] | Qaloo ya abanaistaghfir lana thunoobana inna kunnakhati-eena
|  قالوا يا أبانا استغفر لنا ذنوبنا إنا كنا خاطئين
قَالُواْ يَا أَبَانَا اسْتَغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا خَاطِئِينَ |
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| يا - O| أبانا - "O our father!| استغفر - Ask forgiveness| لنا - for us| ذنوبنا - (of) our sins.| إنا - Indeed, we| كنا - have been| خاطئين - sinners."| |

| «አባታችን ሆይ! ለኀጢአቶቻችን ምሕረትን ለምንልን እኛ ጥፋተኞች ነበርንና» አሉ፡፡ |
