| 1 [36:23] | Aattakhithu min doonihi alihatanin yuridni alrrahmanu bidurrin la tughniAAannee shafaAAatuhum shay-an wala yunqithooni |  أأتخذ من دونه آلهة إن يردن الرحمن بضر لا تغن عني شفاعتهم شيئا ولا ينقذونأَأَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً إِن يُرِدْنِ الرَّحْمَن بِضُرٍّ لاَّ تُغْنِ عَنِّي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَلاَ يُنقِذُونِ | |||||
| Words | |أأتخذ - Should I take| من - besides Him| دونه - besides Him| آلهة - gods?| إن - If| يردن - intends for me| الرحمن - the Most Gracious| بضر - any harm| لا - not| تغن - will avail| عني - [from] me| شفاعتهم - their intercession| شيئا - (in) anything,| ولا - and not| ينقذون - they (can) save me.| | ||||||
| 2 [36:43] | Wa-in nasha/ nughriqhum fala sareekhalahum wala hum yunqathoona | وإن نشأ نغرقهم فلا صريخ لهم ولا هم ينقذون وَإِن نَّشَأْ نُغْرِقْهُمْ فَلَا صَرِيخَ لَهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنقَذُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإن - And if| نشأ - We will,| نغرقهم - We could drown them;| فلا - then not| صريخ - (would be) a responder to a cry| لهم - for them,| ولا - and not| هم - they| ينقذون - would be saved,| | ||||||
