| 1 [10:36] | Wama yattabiAAu aktharuhum illathannan inna alththanna layughnee mina alhaqqi shay-an inna Allaha AAaleemunbima yafAAaloona |  وما يتبع أكثرهم إلا ظنا إن الظن لا يغني من الحق شيئا إن الله عليم بما يفعلونوَمَا يَتَّبِعُ أَكْثَرُهُمْ إِلاَّ ظَنًّا إِنَّ الظَّنَّ لاَ يُغْنِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ شَيْئًا إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلَيمٌ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| يتبع - follow| أكثرهم - most of them| إلا - except| ظنا - assumption.| إن - Indeed,| الظن - the assumption| لا - (does) not| يغني - avail| من - against| الحق - the truth| شيئا - anything.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| عليم - (is) All-Knower| بما - of what| يفعلون - they do.| | ||||||
| 2 [12:68] | Walamma dakhaloo min haythuamarahum aboohum ma kana yughnee AAanhum mina Allahimin shay-in illa hajatan fee nafsi yaAAqooba qadahawa-innahu lathoo AAilmin lima AAallamnahuwalakinna akthara alnnasi layaAAlamoona | ولما دخلوا من حيث أمرهم أبوهم ما كان يغني عنهم من الله من شيء إلا حاجة في نفس يعقوب قضاها وإنه لذو علم لما علمناه ولكن أكثر الناس لا يعلمون وَلَمَّا دَخَلُواْ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَهُمْ أَبُوهُم مَّا كَانَ يُغْنِي عَنْهُم مِّنَ اللّهِ مِن شَيْءٍ إِلاَّ حَاجَةً فِي نَفْسِ يَعْقُوبَ قَضَاهَا وَإِنَّهُ لَذُو عِلْمٍ لِّمَا عَلَّمْنَاهُ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولما - And when| دخلوا - they entered| من - from| حيث - where| أمرهم - ordered them| أبوهم - their father,| ما - not| كان - it| يغني - avail(ed)| عنهم - them| من - against| الله - Allah| من - any| شيء - thing| إلا - but| حاجة - (it was) a need| في - of| نفس - Yaqub's soul,| يعقوب - Yaqub's soul,| قضاها - which he carried out.| وإنه - And indeed, he| لذو - (was) a possessor| علم - (of) knowledge| لما - because| علمناه - We had taught him,| ولكن - but| أكثر - most| الناس - (of) the people| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 3 [19:42] | Ith qala li-abeehi yaabati lima taAAbudu ma la yasmaAAu wala yubsiruwala yughnee AAanka shay-an | إذ قال لأبيه يا أبت لم تعبد ما لا يسمع ولا يبصر ولا يغني عنك شيئا إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ يَا أَبَتِ لِمَ تَعْبُدُ مَا لاَ يَسْمَعُ وَلاَ يُبْصِرُ وَلاَ يُغْنِي عَنكَ شَيْئًا | |||||
| Words | |إذ - When| قال - he said| لأبيه - to his father,| يا - O| أبت - "O my father!| لم - Why| تعبد - (do) you worship| ما - that which| لا - not| يسمع - hears| ولا - and not| يبصر - sees| ولا - and not| يغني - benefits| عنك - [to] you| شيئا - (in) anything?| | ||||||
| 4 [44:41] | Yawma la yughnee mawlan AAan mawlanshay-an wala hum yunsaroona | يوم لا يغني مولى عن مولى شيئا ولا هم ينصرون يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِي مَوْلًى عَن مَّوْلًى شَيْئًا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ | |||||

| 5 [45:10] | Min wara-ihim jahannamu walayughnee AAanhum ma kasaboo shay-an wala maittakhathoo min dooni Allahi awliyaa walahumAAathabun AAatheemun | من ورائهم جهنم ولا يغني عنهم ما كسبوا شيئا ولا ما اتخذوا من دون الله أولياء ولهم عذاب عظيم مِن وَرَائِهِمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَلَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُم مَّا كَسَبُوا شَيْئًا وَلَا مَا اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |من - Before them| ورائهم - Before them| جهنم - (is) Hell| ولا - and not| يغني - will avail| عنهم - them| ما - what| كسبوا - they had earned| شيئا - anything,| ولا - and not| ما - what| اتخذوا - they had taken| من - besides| دون - besides| الله - Allah| أولياء - (as) protectors.| ولهم - And for them| عذاب - (is) a punishment| عظيم - great.| | ||||||
| 6 [52:46] | Yawma la yughnee AAanhum kayduhumshay-an wala hum yunsaroona | يوم لا يغني عنهم كيدهم شيئا ولا هم ينصرون يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ | |||||

| 7 [53:28] | Wama lahum bihi min AAilmin inyattabiAAoona illa alththanna wa-innaalththanna la yughnee mina alhaqqishay-an | وما لهم به من علم إن يتبعون إلا الظن وإن الظن لا يغني من الحق شيئا وَمَا لَهُم بِهِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ شَيْئًا | |||||
