| 1 [2:19] | Aw kasayyibin mina alssama-ifeehi thulumatun waraAAdun wabarqunyajAAaloona asabiAAahum fee athanihim mina alssawaAAiqihathara almawti waAllahu muheetunbialkafireena |  أو كصيب من السماء فيه ظلمات ورعد وبرق يجعلون أصابعهم في آذانهم من الصواعق حذر الموت والله محيط بالكافرينأَوْ كَصَيِّبٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ فِيهِ ظُلُمَاتٌ وَّرَعْدٌ وَّبَرْقٌ يَجْعَلُونَ أَصَابِعَهُمْ فِي آذَانِهِم مِّنَ الصَّوَاعِقِ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِ وَاللّهُ مُحِيطٌ بِالْكَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |أو - Or| كصيب - like a rainstorm| من - from| السماء - the sky| فيه - in it (are)| ظلمات - darkness[es],| ورعد - and thunder,| وبرق - and lightning.| يجعلون - They put| أصابعهم - their fingers| في - in| آذانهم - their ears| من - from| الصواعق - the thunderclaps| حذر - (in) fear (of)| الموت - [the] death.| والله - And Allah| محيط - (is) [the One Who] encompasses| بالكافرين - the disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 2 [3:120] | In tamsaskum hasanatun tasu/humwa-in tusibkum sayyi-atun yafrahoo bihawa-in tasbiroo watattaqoo la yadurrukumkayduhum shay-an inna Allaha bima yaAAmaloona muheetun | إن تمسسكم حسنة تسؤهم وإن تصبكم سيئة يفرحوا بها وإن تصبروا وتتقوا لا يضركم كيدهم شيئا إن الله بما يعملون محيط إِن تَمْسَسْكُمْ حَسَنَةٌ تَسُؤْهُمْ وَإِن تُصِبْكُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَفْرَحُواْ بِهَا وَإِن تَصْبِرُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ لاَ يَضُرُّكُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئًا إِنَّ اللّهَ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ | |||||
| Words | |إن - If| تمسسكم - touches you| حسنة - a good,| تسؤهم - it grieves them| وإن - and if| تصبكم - strikes you| سيئة - misfortune,| يفرحوا - they rejoice| بها - at it.| وإن - And if| تصبروا - you are patient| وتتقوا - and fear (Allah),| لا - not| يضركم - will harm you| كيدهم - their plot| شيئا - (in) anything.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah,| بما - of what| يعملون - they do| محيط - (is) All-Encompassing.| | ||||||
| 3 [8:47] | Wala takoonoo kaallatheenakharajoo min diyarihim bataran wari-aa alnnasiwayasuddoona AAan sabeeli Allahi waAllahubima yaAAmaloona muheetun | ولا تكونوا كالذين خرجوا من ديارهم بطرا ورئاء الناس ويصدون عن سبيل الله والله بما يعملون محيط وَلاَ تَكُونُواْ كَالَّذِينَ خَرَجُواْ مِن دِيَارِهِم بَطَرًا وَرِئَاءَ النَّاسِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَاللّهُ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تكونوا - be| كالذين - like those who| خرجوا - came forth| من - from| ديارهم - their homes| بطرا - boastfully| ورئاء - and showing off| الناس - (to) the people,| ويصدون - and hinder (them)| عن - from| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah.| والله - And Allah| بما - of what| يعملون - they do| محيط - (is) All-Encompassing.| | ||||||
| 4 [11:84] | Wa-ila madyana akhahumshuAAayban qala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha malakum min ilahin ghayruhu wala tanqusooalmikyala waalmeezana innee arakumbikhayrin wa-innee akhafu AAalaykum AAathaba yawminmuheetin | وإلى مدين أخاهم شعيبا قال يا قوم اعبدوا الله ما لكم من إله غيره ولا تنقصوا المكيال والميزان إني أراكم بخير وإني أخاف عليكم عذاب يوم محيط وَإِلَى مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًا قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُواْ اللّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـهٍ غَيْرُهُ وَلاَ تَنقُصُواْ الْمِكْيَالَ وَالْمِيزَانَ إِنِّيَ أَرَاكُم بِخَيْرٍ وَإِنِّيَ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ مُّحِيطٍ | |||||
| Words | |وإلى - And to| مدين - Madyan,| أخاهم - their brother| شعيبا - Shuaib.| قال - He said,| يا - O| قوم - "O my people!| اعبدوا - Worship| الله - Allah| ما - not| لكم - (is) for you| من - any| إله - god| غيره - other than Him.| ولا - And (do) not| تنقصوا - decrease| المكيال - (from) the measure| والميزان - and the scale.| إني - Indeed, I| أراكم - see you| بخير - in prosperity,| وإني - but indeed, I| أخاف - fear| عليكم - for you| عذاب - punishment| يوم - (of) a Day| محيط - all-encompassing.| | ||||||
| 5 [11:92] | Qala ya qawmi arahteeaAAazzu AAalaykum mina Allahi waittakhathtumoohuwaraakum thihriyyan inna rabbee bimataAAmaloona muheetun | قال يا قوم أرهطي أعز عليكم من الله واتخذتموه وراءكم ظهريا إن ربي بما تعملون محيط قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَرَهْطِي أَعَزُّ عَلَيْكُم مِّنَ اللّهِ وَاتَّخَذْتُمُوهُ وَرَاءَكُمْ ظِهْرِيًّا إِنَّ رَبِّي بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ مُحِيطٌ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| يا - O| قوم - "O my people!| أرهطي - Is my family| أعز - mightier| عليكم - on you| من - than| الله - Allah?| واتخذتموه - And you have taken Him,| وراءكم - behind your| ظهريا - backs.| إن - Indeed,| ربي - my Lord| بما - of what| تعملون - you do| محيط - (is) All-Encompassing.| | ||||||
| 6 [41:54] | Ala innahum fee miryatin min liqa-irabbihim ala innahu bikulli shay-in muheetun | ألا إنهم في مرية من لقاء ربهم ألا إنه بكل شيء محيط أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ فِي مِرْيَةٍ مِّن لِّقَاءِ رَبِّهِمْ أَلَا إِنَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُّحِيطٌ | |||||

| 7 [85:20] | WaAllahu min wara-ihimmuheetun | والله من ورائهم محيط وَاللَّهُ مِن وَرَائِهِم مُّحِيطٌ | |||||
