| 1 [2:26] | Inna Allaha la yastahyeean yadriba mathalan ma baAAoodatan famafawqaha faamma allatheena amanoofayaAAlamoona annahu alhaqqu min rabbihim waammaallatheena kafaroo fayaqooloona matha aradaAllahu bihatha mathalan yudillu bihikatheeran wayahdee bihi katheeran wama yudillu bihiilla alfasiqeena |  إن الله لا يستحيي أن يضرب مثلا ما بعوضة فما فوقها فأما الذين آمنوا فيعلمون أنه الحق من ربهم وأما الذين كفروا فيقولون ماذا أراد الله بهذا مثلا يضل به كثيرا ويهدي به كثيرا وما يضل به إلا الفاسقينإِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَسْتَحْيِي أَن يَّضْرِبَ مَثَلاً مَّا بَعُوضَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ فَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ وَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَيَقُولُونَ مَاذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهَـذَا مَثَلاً يُضِلُّ بِهِ كَثِيراً وَّيَهْدِي بِهِ كَثِيراً وَمَا يُضِلُّ بِهِ إِلاَّ الْفَاسِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| لا - (is) not| يستحيي - ashamed| أن - to| يضرب - set forth| مثلا - an example| ما - (like) even| بعوضة - (of) a mosquito| فما - and (even) something| فوقها - above it.| فأما - Then as for| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believed,| فيعلمون - [thus] they will know| أنه - that it| الحق - (is) the truth| من - from| ربهم - their Lord.| وأما - And as for| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved| فيقولون - [thus] they will say| ماذا - what| أراد - (did) intend| الله - Allah| بهذا - by this| مثلا - example?| يضل - He lets go astray| به - by it| كثيرا - many| ويهدي - and He guides| به - by it| كثيرا - many.| وما - And not| يضل - He lets go astray| به - by it| إلا - except| الفاسقين - the defiantly disobedient.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:215] | Yas-aloonaka matha yunfiqoona qul maanfaqtum min khayrin falilwalidayni waal-aqrabeenawaalyatama waalmasakeeni waibnialssabeeli wama tafAAaloo min khayrin fa-inna Allahabihi AAaleemun | يسألونك ماذا ينفقون قل ما أنفقتم من خير فللوالدين والأقربين واليتامى والمساكين وابن السبيل وما تفعلوا من خير فإن الله به عليم يَسْأَلُونَكَ مَاذَا يُنفِقُونَ قُلْ مَا أَنفَقْتُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍ فَلِلْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالأَقْرَبِينَ وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ وَمَا تَفْعَلُواْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ اللّهَ بِهِ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |يسألونك - They ask you| ماذا - what| ينفقون - they (should) spend.| قل - Say,| ما - "Whatever| أنفقتم - you spend| من - of| خير - good,| فللوالدين - (is) for parents,| والأقربين - and the relatives,| واليتامى - and the orphans,| والمساكين - and the needy,| وابن - and (of)| السبيل - the wayfarer.| وما - And whatever| تفعلوا - you do| من - of| خير - good.| فإن - So indeed,| الله - Allah| به - of it| عليم - (is) All-Aware.| | ||||||
| 3 [2:219] | Yas-aloonaka AAani alkhamri waalmaysiriqul feehima ithmun kabeerun wamanafiAAu lilnnasiwa-ithmuhuma akbaru min nafAAihima wayas-aloonaka mathayunfiqoona quli alAAafwa kathalika yubayyinu Allahulakumu al-ayati laAAallakum tatafakkaroona | يسألونك عن الخمر والميسر قل فيهما إثم كبير ومنافع للناس وإثمهما أكبر من نفعهما ويسألونك ماذا ينفقون قل العفو كذلك يبين الله لكم الآيات لعلكم تتفكرون يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِ قُلْ فِيهِمَا إِثْمٌ كَبِيرٌ وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَإِثْمُهُمَآ أَكْبَرُ مِن نَّفْعِهِمَا وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ مَاذَا يُنفِقُونَ قُلِ الْعَفْوَ كَذَلِكَ يُبيِّنُ اللّهُ لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَفَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يسألونك - They ask you| عن - about| الخمر - [the] intoxicants| والميسر - and [the] games of chance| قل - Say,| فيهما - "In both of them| إثم - (is) a sin| كبير - great,| ومنافع - and (some) benefits| للناس - for [the] people.| وإثمهما - But sin of both of them| أكبر - (is) greater| من - than| نفعهما - (the) benefit of (the) two."| ويسألونك - And they ask you| ماذا - what| ينفقون - they (should) spend.| قل - Say,| العفو - "The surplus."| كذلك - Thus| يبين - makes clear| الله - Allah| لكم - to you| الآيات - [the] Verses| لعلكم - so that you may| تتفكرون - ponder,| | ||||||
| 4 [5:4] | Yas-aloonaka matha ohilla lahumqul ohilla lakumu alttayyibatu wamaAAallamtum mina aljawarihi mukallibeenatuAAallimoonahunna mimma AAallamakumu Allahufakuloo mimma amsakna AAalaykum waothkurooisma Allahi AAalayhi waittaqoo Allaha innaAllaha sareeAAu alhisabi | يسألونك ماذا أحل لهم قل أحل لكم الطيبات وما علمتم من الجوارح مكلبين تعلمونهن مما علمكم الله فكلوا مما أمسكن عليكم واذكروا اسم الله عليه واتقوا الله إن الله سريع الحساب يَسْأَلُونَكَ مَاذَا أُحِلَّ لَهُمْ قُلْ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ وَمَا عَلَّمْتُم مِّنَ الْجَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّبِينَ تُعَلِّمُونَهُنَّ مِمَّا عَلَّمَكُمُ اللّهُ فَكُلُواْ مِمَّا أَمْسَكْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَاذْكُرُواْ اسْمَ اللّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَاتَّقُواْ اللّهَ إِنَّ اللّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ | |||||
| Words | |يسألونك - They ask you| ماذا - what| أحل - (is) made lawful| لهم - for them.| قل - Say,| أحل - "Are made lawful| لكم - for you| الطيبات - the good things| وما - and what| علمتم - you have taught| من - of| الجوارح - (your) hunting animals,| مكلبين - ones who train animals to hunt,| تعلمونهن - you teach them| مما - of what| علمكم - has taught you| الله - Allah.| فكلوا - So eat| مما - of what| أمسكن - they catch| عليكم - for you,| واذكروا - but mention| اسم - (the) name| الله - (of) Allah| عليه - on it,| واتقوا - and fear| الله - Allah.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| سريع - is swift| الحساب - (in taking) account.| | ||||||
| 5 [5:109] | Yawma yajmaAAu Allahu alrrusulafayaqoolu matha ojibtum qaloo la AAilma lanainnaka anta AAallamu alghuyoobi | يوم يجمع الله الرسل فيقول ماذا أجبتم قالوا لا علم لنا إنك أنت علام الغيوب يَوْمَ يَجْمَعُ اللّهُ الرُّسُلَ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَا أُجِبْتُمْ قَالُواْ لاَ عِلْمَ لَنَا إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلاَّمُ الْغُيُوبِ | |||||
| Words | |يوم - (The) day| يجمع - will (be) gathered| الله - (by) Allah| الرسل - the Messengers| فيقول - and He will say,| ماذا - "What| أجبتم - was (the) response you received?"| قالوا - They said,| لا - "(There is) no| علم - knowledge| لنا - for us.| إنك - Indeed You,| أنت - You| علام - (are the) Knower| الغيوب - (of) the unseen."| | ||||||
| 6 [10:50] | Qul araaytum in atakum AAathabuhubayatan aw naharan matha yastaAAjilu minhualmujrimoona | قل أرأيتم إن أتاكم عذابه بياتا أو نهارا ماذا يستعجل منه المجرمون قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَتَاكُمْ عَذَابُهُ بَيَاتًا أَوْ نَهَارًا مَّاذَا يَسْتَعْجِلُ مِنْهُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| أرأيتم - "Do you see,| إن - if| أتاكم - comes to you| عذابه - His punishment| بياتا - (by) night| أو - or| نهارا - (by) day,| ماذا - what (portion)| يستعجل - of it would (wish to) hasten| منه - of it would (wish to) hasten| المجرمون - the criminals?"| | ||||||
| 7 [10:101] | Quli onthuroo mathafee alssamawati waal-ardi wamatughnee al-ayatu waalnnuthuru AAanqawmin la yu/minoona | قل انظروا ماذا في السماوات والأرض وما تغني الآيات والنذر عن قوم لا يؤمنون قُلِ انظُرُواْ مَاذَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا تُغْنِي الْآيَاتُ وَالنُّذُرُ عَن قَوْمٍ لاَّ يُؤْمِنُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| انظروا - "See,| ماذا - what| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth."| وما - But not| تغني - will avail| الآيات - the Signs| والنذر - and the warners| عن - to| قوم - a people| لا - (who do) not| يؤمنون - believe.| | ||||||
| 8 [12:71] | Qaloo waaqbaloo AAalayhim mathatafqidoona | قالوا وأقبلوا عليهم ماذا تفقدون قَالُواْ وَأَقْبَلُواْ عَلَيْهِم مَّاذَا تَفْقِدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said| وأقبلوا - turning towards| عليهم - them,| ماذا - "What (is it)| تفقدون - you miss?"| | ||||||
| 9 [16:24] | Wa-itha qeela lahum mathaanzala rabbukum qaloo asateeru al-awwaleena | وإذا قيل لهم ماذا أنزل ربكم قالوا أساطير الأولين وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُم مَّاذَا أَنزَلَ رَبُّكُمْ قَالُواْ أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| ماذا - "What| أنزل - has your Lord sent down?| ربكم - has your Lord sent down?| قالوا - They say,| أساطير - "Tales| الأولين - (of) the ancient."| | ||||||
| 10 [16:30] | Waqeela lillatheena ittaqaw mathaanzala rabbukum qaloo khayran lillatheena ahsanoofee hathihi alddunya hasanatun waladarual-akhirati khayrun walaniAAma daru almuttaqeena | وقيل للذين اتقوا ماذا أنزل ربكم قالوا خيرا للذين أحسنوا في هذه الدنيا حسنة ولدار الآخرة خير ولنعم دار المتقين وَقِيلَ لِلَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْاْ مَاذَا أَنزَلَ رَبُّكُمْ قَالُواْ خَيْرًا لِّلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُواْ فِي هَذِهِ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةٌ وَلَدَارُ الْآخِرَةِ خَيْرٌ وَلَنِعْمَ دَارُ الْمُتَّقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وقيل - And it will be said| للذين - to those who| اتقوا - fear Allah,| ماذا - "What| أنزل - has your Lord sent down?"| ربكم - has your Lord sent down?"| قالوا - They will say,| خيرا - "Good."| للذين - For those who| أحسنوا - do good| في - in| هذه - this| الدنيا - world| حسنة - (is) a good,| ولدار - and the home| الآخرة - of the Hereafter| خير - (is) better.| ولنعم - And surely excellent| دار - (is) the home| المتقين - (of) the righteous.| | ||||||
| 11 [27:28] | Ithhab bikitabee hathafaalqih ilayhim thumma tawalla AAanhum faonthurmatha yarjiAAoona | اذهب بكتابي هذا فألقه إليهم ثم تول عنهم فانظر ماذا يرجعون اذْهَب بِّكِتَابِي هَذَا فَأَلْقِهْ إِلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَانظُرْ مَاذَا يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |اذهب - Go| بكتابي - with my letter,| هذا - this,| فألقه - and deliver it| إليهم - to them.| ثم - Then| تول - turn away| عنهم - from them| فانظر - and see| ماذا - what| يرجعون - they return."| | ||||||
| 12 [27:33] | Qaloo nahnu oloo quwwatinwaoloo ba/sin shadeedin waal-amru ilayki faonthureematha ta/mureena | قالوا نحن أولو قوة وأولو بأس شديد والأمر إليك فانظري ماذا تأمرين قَالُوا نَحْنُ أُوْلُوا قُوَّةٍ وَأُولُوا بَأْسٍ شَدِيدٍ وَالْأَمْرُ إِلَيْكِ فَانظُرِي مَاذَا تَأْمُرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| نحن - "We| أولو - (are) possessors| قوة - (of) strength| وأولو - and possessors| بأس - (of) might| شديد - great,| والأمر - and the command| إليك - (is) up to you,| فانظري - so look| ماذا - what| تأمرين - you will command."| | ||||||
| 13 [28:65] | Wayawma yunadeehim fayaqoolu mathaajabtumu almursaleena | ويوم يناديهم فيقول ماذا أجبتم المرسلين وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَا أَجَبْتُمُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ويوم - And (the) Day| يناديهم - He will call them| فيقول - and say,| ماذا - "What| أجبتم - did you answer| المرسلين - the Messengers?"| | ||||||
| 14 [31:11] | Hatha khalqu Allahi faarooneematha khalaqa allatheena min doonihi bali alththalimoonafee dalalin mubeenin | هذا خلق الله فأروني ماذا خلق الذين من دونه بل الظالمون في ضلال مبين هَذَا خَلْقُ اللَّهِ فَأَرُونِي مَاذَا خَلَقَ الَّذِينَ مِن دُونِهِ بَلِ الظَّالِمُونَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Words | |هذا - This| خلق - (is the) creation| الله - (of) Allah.| فأروني - So show Me| ماذا - what| خلق - have created| الذين - those| من - besides Him.| دونه - besides Him.| بل - Nay,| الظالمون - the wrongdoers| في - (are) in| ضلال - error| مبين - clear.| | ||||||
| 15 [31:34] | Inna Allaha AAindahu AAilmu alssaAAatiwayunazzilu alghaytha wayaAAlamu ma fee al-arhamiwama tadree nafsun matha taksibu ghadan wamatadree nafsun bi-ayyi ardin tamootu inna AllahaAAaleemun khabeerun | إن الله عنده علم الساعة وينزل الغيث ويعلم ما في الأرحام وما تدري نفس ماذا تكسب غدا وما تدري نفس بأي أرض تموت إن الله عليم خبير إِنَّ اللَّهَ عِندَهُ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِ وَيُنَزِّلُ الْغَيْثَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْأَرْحَامِ وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ مَّاذَا تَكْسِبُ غَدًا وَمَا تَدْرِي نَفْسٌ بِأَيِّ أَرْضٍ تَمُوتُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah,| عنده - with Him| علم - (is the) knowledge| الساعة - (of) the Hour| وينزل - and He sends down| الغيث - the rain,| ويعلم - and knows| ما - what| في - (is) in| الأرحام - the wombs.| وما - And not| تدري - knows| نفس - any soul| ماذا - what| تكسب - it will earn| غدا - tomorrow,| وما - and not| تدري - knows| نفس - any soul| بأي - in what| أرض - land| تموت - it will die.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| عليم - (is) All-Knower| خبير - All-Aware.| | ||||||
| 16 [34:23] | Wala tanfaAAu alshshafaAAatuAAindahu illa liman athina lahu hattaitha fuzziAAa AAan quloobihim qaloo matha qalarabbukum qaloo alhaqqa wahuwa alAAaliyyu alkabeeru | ولا تنفع الشفاعة عنده إلا لمن أذن له حتى إذا فزع عن قلوبهم قالوا ماذا قال ربكم قالوا الحق وهو العلي الكبير وَلَا تَنفَعُ الشَّفَاعَةُ عِندَهُ إِلَّا لِمَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ حَتَّى إِذَا فُزِّعَ عَن قُلُوبِهِمْ قَالُوا مَاذَا قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ قَالُوا الْحَقَّ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيرُ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And not| تنفع - benefits| الشفاعة - the intercession| عنده - with Him| إلا - except| لمن - for (one) whom| أذن - He permits| له - for him.| حتى - Until| إذا - when| فزع - fear is removed| عن - on| قلوبهم - their hearts,| قالوا - they will say,| ماذا - "What is that -| قال - your Lord has said?"| ربكم - your Lord has said?"| قالوا - They will say,| الحق - "The truth."| وهو - And He| العلي - (is) the Most High,| الكبير - the Most Great.| | ||||||
| 17 [35:40] | Qul araaytum shurakaakumu allatheenatadAAoona min dooni Allahi aroonee matha khalaqoomina al-ardi am lahum shirkun fee alssamawatiam ataynahum kitaban fahum AAalabayyinatin minhu bal in yaAAidu alththalimoonabaAAduhum baAAdan illa ghurooran | قل أرأيتم شركاءكم الذين تدعون من دون الله أروني ماذا خلقوا من الأرض أم لهم شرك في السماوات أم آتيناهم كتابا فهم على بينت منه بل إن يعد الظالمون بعضهم بعضا إلا غرورا قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ شُرَكَاءَكُمُ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَرُونِي مَاذَا خَلَقُوا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ أَمْ لَهُمْ شِرْكٌ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ أَمْ آتَيْنَاهُمْ كِتَابًا فَهُمْ عَلَى بَيِّنَةٍ مِّنْهُ بَلْ إِن يَعِدُ الظَّالِمُونَ بَعْضُهُم بَعْضًا إِلَّا غُرُورًا | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| أرأيتم - "Have you seen| شركاءكم - your partners| الذين - those whom| تدعون - you call| من - besides| دون - besides| الله - Allah?"| أروني - Show Me| ماذا - what| خلقوا - they have created| من - from| الأرض - the earth,| أم - or| لهم - for them| شرك - (is) a share| في - in| السماوات - the heavens.| أم - Or| آتيناهم - have We given them| كتابا - a Book| فهم - so they| على - (are) on| بينت - a clear proof| منه - therefrom?| بل - Nay,| إن - not| يعد - promise| الظالمون - the wrongdoers| بعضهم - some of them| بعضا - (to) others| إلا - except| غرورا - delusion.| | ||||||
| 18 [37:85] | Ith qala li-abeehi waqawmihi mathataAAbudoona | إذ قال لأبيه وقومه ماذا تعبدون إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |إذ - When| قال - he said| لأبيه - to his father| وقومه - and his people,| ماذا - "What is it| تعبدون - you worship?| | ||||||
| 19 [37:102] | Falamma balagha maAAahu alssaAAyaqala ya bunayya innee ara fee almanamiannee athbahuka faonthur mathatara qala ya abati ifAAal ma tu/marusatajidunee in shaa Allahu mina alssabireena | فلما بلغ معه السعي قال يا بني إني أرى في المنام أني أذبحك فانظر ماذا ترى قال يا أبت افعل ما تؤمر ستجدني إن شاء الله من الصابرين فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ السَّعْيَ قَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ إِنِّي أَرَى فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِّي أَذْبَحُكَ فَانظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَى قَالَ يَا أَبَتِ افْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ سَتَجِدُنِي إِن شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الصَّابِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فلما - Then when| بلغ - he reached| معه - the (age of) working with him| السعي - the (age of) working with him| قال - he said,| يا - O| بني - "O my son!| إني - Indeed, I| أرى - have seen| في - in| المنام - the dream| أني - that I am| أذبحك - sacrificing you,| فانظر - so look| ماذا - what| ترى - you see."| قال - He said,| يا - O| أبت - Do| افعل - what| ما - you are commanded.| تؤمر - You will find me,| ستجدني - if| إن - Allah wills,| شاء - Allah wills,| الله - of| من - the patient ones."| | ||||||
| 20 [46:4] | Qul araaytum ma tadAAoona min dooniAllahi aroonee matha khalaqoo mina al-ardiam lahum shirkun fee alssamawati eetooneebikitabin min qabli hatha aw atharatin minAAilmin in kuntum sadiqeena | قل أرأيتم ما تدعون من دون الله أروني ماذا خلقوا من الأرض أم لهم شرك في السماوات ائتوني بكتاب من قبل هذا أو أثارة من علم إن كنتم صادقين قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُم مَّا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَرُونِي مَاذَا خَلَقُوا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ أَمْ لَهُمْ شِرْكٌ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ اِئْتُونِي بِكِتَابٍ مِّن قَبْلِ هَذَا أَوْ أَثَارَةٍ مِّنْ عِلْمٍ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
