| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[16:24] | Wa-itha qeela lahum mathaanzala rabbukum qaloo asateeru al-awwaleena
|  وإذا قيل لهم ماذا أنزل ربكم قالوا أساطير الأولين
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُم مَّاذَا أَنزَلَ رَبُّكُمْ قَالُواْ أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ |
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| ماذا - "What| أنزل - has your Lord sent down?| ربكم - has your Lord sent down?| قالوا - They say,| أساطير - "Tales| الأولين - (of) the ancient."| |

| ለእነርሱም «ጌታችሁ (በሙሐመድ ላይ) ምንን አወረደ» በተባሉ ጊዜ «(እርሱ) የመጀመሪያዎቹ ሕዝቦች ተረቶች ነው» ይላሉ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | ونزل في النضر بن الحارث { وإذا قيل لهم ما } استفهامية { ذا } موصولة { أنزل ربكم } على محمد { قالوا } هو { أساطير } أكاذيب { الأولين } إضلالاً للناس . |
| Ma nnan asen: "d acu id Issers Mass nnwen"? Qqaôen: "d timucuha imezwura". |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয়ঃ তোমাদের পালনকর্তা কি নাযিল করেছেন? তারা বলেঃ পূর্ববর্তীদের কিসসা-কাহিনী। |
| Literal | And if (it) was said to them: "What (did) your Lord descend?" They said: "The firsts'/beginners' myths/baseless stories ." |
| Yusuf Ali | When it is said to them, "What is it that your Lord has revealed?" they say, "Tales of the ancients!" |
