| 1 [2:118] | Waqala allatheena layaAAlamoona lawla yukallimuna Allahu awta/teena ayatun kathalika qala allatheenamin qablihim mithla qawlihim tashabahat quloobuhum qadbayyanna al-ayati liqawmin yooqinoona |  وقال الذين لا يعلمون لولا يكلمنا الله أو تأتينا آية كذلك قال الذين من قبلهم مثل قولهم تشابهت قلوبهم قد بينا الآيات لقوم يوقنونوَقَالَ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ لَوْلاَ يُكَلِّمُنَا اللّهُ أَوْ تَأْتِينَا آيَةٌ كَذَلِكَ قَالَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْ تَشَابَهَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا الآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - And said| الذين - those who| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know,| لولا - "Why not| يكلمنا - speaks to us| الله - Allah| أو - or| تأتينا - comes to us| آية - a sign?"| كذلك - Like that| قال - said| الذين - those| من - from| قبلهم - before them| مثل - similar| قولهم - their saying.| تشابهت - Became alike| قلوبهم - their hearts.| قد - Indeed,| بينا - We have made clear| الآيات - the signs| لقوم - for people| يوقنون - (who) firmly believe.| | ||||||
| 2 [3:11] | Kada/bi ali firAAawna waallatheenamin qablihim kaththaboo bi-ayatinafaakhathahumu Allahu bithunoobihim waAllahushadeedu alAAiqabi | كدأب آل فرعون والذين من قبلهم كذبوا بآياتنا فأخذهم الله بذنوبهم والله شديد العقاب كَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ وَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَاللّهُ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ | |||||
| Words | |كدأب - Like behavior| آل - (of the) people| فرعون - (of) Firaun| والذين - and those who| من - (were) from| قبلهم - before them.| كذبوا - They denied| بآياتنا - Our Signs,| فأخذهم - so seized them| الله - Allah| بذنوبهم - for their sins.| والله - And Allah| شديد - (is) severe| العقاب - (in) [the] punishment.| | ||||||
| 3 [6:6] | Alam yaraw kam ahlakna min qablihimmin qarnin makkannahum fee al-ardi ma lamnumakkin lakum waarsalna alssamaa AAalayhimmidraran wajaAAalna al-anhara tajree min tahtihimfaahlaknahum bithunoobihim waansha/na minbaAAdihim qarnan akhareena | ألم يروا كم أهلكنا من قبلهم من قرن مكناهم في الأرض ما لم نمكن لكم وأرسلنا السماء عليهم مدرارا وجعلنا الأنهار تجري من تحتهم فأهلكناهم بذنوبهم وأنشأنا من بعدهم قرنا آخرين أَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍ مَّكَّنَّاهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّكُمْ وَأَرْسَلْنَا السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْهِم مِّدْرَارًا وَجَعَلْنَا الْأَنْهَارَ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَنْشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا آخَرِينَ | |||||

| 4 [6:148] | Sayaqoolu allatheena ashrakoo law shaaAllahu ma ashrakna wala abaonawala harramna min shay-in kathalikakaththaba allatheena min qablihim hattathaqoo ba/sana qul hal AAindakum min AAilminfatukhrijoohu lana in tattabiAAoona illa alththannawa-in antum illa takhrusoona | سيقول الذين أشركوا لو شاء الله ما أشركنا ولا آباؤنا ولا حرمنا من شيء كذلك كذب الذين من قبلهم حتى ذاقوا بأسنا قل هل عندكم من علم فتخرجوه لنا إن تتبعون إلا الظن وإن أنتم إلا تخرصون سَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ لَوْ شَاءَ اللّهُ مَا أَشْرَكْنَا وَلاَ آبَاؤُنَا وَلاَ حَرَّمْنَا مِن شَيْءٍ كَذَلِكَ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم حَتَّى ذَاقُواْ بَأْسَنَا قُلْ هَلْ عِندَكُم مِّنْ عِلْمٍ فَتُخْرِجُوهُ لَنَا إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلاَّ الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلاَّ تَخْرُصُونَ | |||||
| Words | |سيقول - Will say| الذين - those who| أشركوا - associate partners (with Allah),| لو - "If| شاء - Had willed| الله - Allah,| ما - not| أشركنا - we (would) have associated partners (with Allah)| ولا - and not| آباؤنا - our forefathers| ولا - and not| حرمنا - we (would) have forbidden| من - [of]| شيء - anything."| كذلك - Likewise| كذب - denied| الذين - those who| من - (were from)| قبلهم - before them| حتى - until| ذاقوا - they tasted| بأسنا - Our wrath.| قل - Say,| هل - "Is| عندكم - with you| من - [of]| علم - any knowledge| فتخرجوه - then produce it| لنا - for us?| إن - Not| تتبعون - you follow| إلا - except| الظن - the assumption,| وإن - and not| أنتم - you (do)| إلا - but| تخرصون - guess."| | ||||||
| 5 [8:52] | Kada/bi ali firAAawna waallatheenamin qablihim kafaroo bi-ayati Allahi faakhathahumuAllahu bithunoobihim inna Allaha qawiyyunshadeedu alAAiqabi | كدأب آل فرعون والذين من قبلهم كفروا بآيات الله فأخذهم الله بذنوبهم إن الله قوي شديد العقاب كَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ وَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَفَرُواْ بِآيَاتِ اللّهِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ قَوِيٌّ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ | |||||

| 6 [8:54] | Kada/bi ali firAAawna waallatheenamin qablihim kaththaboo bi-ayati rabbihimfaahlaknahum bithunoobihim waaghraqna alafirAAawna wakullun kanoo thalimeena | كدأب آل فرعون والذين من قبلهم كذبوا بآيات ربهم فأهلكناهم بذنوبهم وأغرقنا آل فرعون وكل كانوا ظالمين كَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ وَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَذَّبُواْ بآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَغْرَقْنَا آلَ فِرْعَونَ وَكُلٌّ كَانُواْ ظَالِمِينَ | |||||

| 7 [9:70] | Alam ya/tihim nabao allatheena minqablihim qawmi noohin waAAadin wathamooda waqawmiibraheema waas-habi madyana waalmu/tafikatiatat-hum rusuluhum bialbayyinati fama kanaAllahu liyathlimahum walakin kanooanfusahum yathlimoona | ألم يأتهم نبأ الذين من قبلهم قوم نوح وعاد وثمود وقوم إبراهيم وأصحاب مدين والمؤتفكات أتتهم رسلهم بالبينات فما كان الله ليظلمهم ولكن كانوا أنفسهم يظلمون أَلَمْ يَأْتِهِمْ نَبَأُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَقَوْمِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَأَصْحَابِ مَدْيَنَ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتِ أَتَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَـكِن كَانُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ألم - Has not| يأتهم - come to them| نبأ - (the) news| الذين - (of) those who| من - (were) before them,| قبلهم - (were) before them,| قوم - (the) people| نوح - (of) Nuh,| وعاد - and Aad,| وثمود - and Thamud,| وقوم - and (the) people| إبراهيم - (of) Ibrahim| وأصحاب - and (the) companions| مدين - (of) Madyan,| والمؤتفكات - and the towns overturned?| أتتهم - Came to them| رسلهم - their Messengers| بالبينات - with clear proofs.| فما - And not| كان - was| الله - Allah| ليظلمهم - to wrong them| ولكن - but| كانوا - they were (to)| أنفسهم - themselves| يظلمون - doing wrong.| | ||||||
| 8 [10:39] | Bal kaththaboo bima lam yuheetoobiAAilmihi walamma ya/tihim ta/weeluhu kathalika kaththabaallatheena min qablihim faonthurkayfa kana AAaqibatu alththalimeena | بل كذبوا بما لم يحيطوا بعلمه ولما يأتهم تأويله كذلك كذب الذين من قبلهم فانظر كيف كان عاقبة الظالمين بَلْ كَذَّبُواْ بِمَا لَمْ يُحِيطُواْ بِعِلْمِهِ وَلَمَّا يَأْتِهِمْ تَأْوِيلُهُ كَذَلِكَ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||

| 9 [10:102] | Fahal yantathiroona illamithla ayyami allatheena khalaw min qablihim qul faintathirooinnee maAAakum mina almuntathireena | فهل ينتظرون إلا مثل أيام الذين خلوا من قبلهم قل فانتظروا إني معكم من المنتظرين فَهَلْ يَنتَظِرُونَ إِلاَّ مِثْلَ أَيَّامِ الَّذِينَ خَلَوْاْ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ قُلْ فَانتَظِرُواْ إِنِّي مَعَكُم مِّنَ الْمُنتَظِرِينَ | |||||

| 10 [12:109] | Wama arsalna min qablika illarijalan noohee ilayhim min ahli alquraafalam yaseeroo fee al-ardi fayanthurookayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablihimwaladaru al-akhirati khayrun lillatheenaittaqaw afala taAAqiloona | وما أرسلنا من قبلك إلا رجالا نوحي إليهم من أهل القرى أفلم يسيروا في الأرض فينظروا كيف كان عاقبة الذين من قبلهم ولدار الآخرة خير للذين اتقوا أفلا تعقلون وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ إِلاَّ رِجَالاً نُّوحِي إِلَيْهِم مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْقُرَى أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُواْ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُواْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَدَارُ الْآخِرَةِ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ اتَّقَواْ أَفَلاَ تَعْقِلُونَ | |||||

| 11 [13:6] | WayastaAAjiloonaka bialssayyi-atiqabla alhasanati waqad khalat min qablihimu almathulatuwa-inna rabbaka lathoo maghfiratin lilnnasiAAala thulmihim wa-inna rabbaka lashadeedualAAiqabi | ويستعجلونك بالسيئة قبل الحسنة وقد خلت من قبلهم المثلات وإن ربك لذو مغفرة للناس على ظلمهم وإن ربك لشديد العقاب وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ الْحَسَنَةِ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِمُ الْمَثُلاَتُ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغْفِرَةٍ لِّلنَّاسِ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَشَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ | |||||
| Words | |ويستعجلونك - And they ask you to hasten| بالسيئة - the evil| قبل - before| الحسنة - the good| وقد - and verily| خلت - has occurred| من - from| قبلهم - before them| المثلات - [the] similar punishments.| وإن - And indeed,| ربك - your Lord| لذو - (is) full| مغفرة - (of) forgiveness| للناس - for mankind| على - for| ظلمهم - their wrongdoing,| وإن - and indeed,| ربك - your Lord| لشديد - (is) severe| العقاب - (in) the penalty.| | ||||||
| 12 [13:42] | Waqad makara allatheena min qablihimfalillahi almakru jameeAAan yaAAlamu ma taksibukullu nafsin wasayaAAlamu alkuffaru liman AAuqba alddari | وقد مكر الذين من قبلهم فلله المكر جميعا يعلم ما تكسب كل نفس وسيعلم الكفار لمن عقبى الدار وَقَدْ مَكَرَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَلِلّهِ الْمَكْرُ جَمِيعًا يَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ وَسَيَعْلَمُ الْكُفَّارُ لِمَنْ عُقْبَى الدَّارِ | |||||
| Words | |وقد - And certainly| مكر - plotted| الذين - those who| من - (were) from| قبلهم - before them,| فلله - but for Allah| المكر - (is) the plot| جميعا - all.| يعلم - He knows| ما - what| تكسب - earns| كل - every| نفس - soul,| وسيعلم - and will know| الكفار - the disbelievers| لمن - for whom| عقبى - (is) the final| الدار - the home.| | ||||||
| 13 [16:26] | Qad makara allatheena min qablihimfaata Allahu bunyanahum mina alqawaAAidifakharra AAalayhimu alssaqfu min fawqihim waatahumualAAathabu min haythu la yashAAuroona | قد مكر الذين من قبلهم فأتى الله بنيانهم من القواعد فخر عليهم السقف من فوقهم وأتاهم العذاب من حيث لا يشعرون قَدْ مَكَرَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَأَتَى اللّهُ بُنْيَانَهُم مِّنَ الْقَوَاعِدِ فَخَرَّ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّقْفُ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَأَتَاهُمُ الْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قد - Verily,| مكر - plotted| الذين - those who| من - (were) before them,| قبلهم - (were) before them,| فأتى - but Allah came| الله - but Allah came| بنيانهم - (at) their building| من - from| القواعد - the foundations,| فخر - so fell| عليهم - upon them| السقف - the roof| من - from| فوقهم - above them,| وأتاهم - and came to them| العذاب - the punishment| من - from| حيث - where| لا - they (did) not perceive.| يشعرون - they (did) not perceive.| | ||||||
| 14 [16:33] | Hal yanthuroona illa anta/tiyahumu almala-ikatu aw ya/tiya amru rabbika kathalikafaAAala allatheena min qablihim wama thalamahumuAllahu walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona | هل ينظرون إلا أن تأتيهم الملائكة أو يأتي أمر ربك كذلك فعل الذين من قبلهم وما ظلمهم الله ولكن كانوا أنفسهم يظلمون هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلاَّ أَن تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ كَذَلِكَ فَعَلَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَمَا ظَلَمَهُمُ اللّهُ وَلـكِن كَانُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ | |||||

| 15 [16:35] | Waqala allatheena ashrakoo lawshaa Allahu ma AAabadna min doonihimin shay-in nahnu wala abaonawala harramna min doonihi min shay-in kathalikafaAAala allatheena min qablihim fahal AAala alrrusuliilla albalaghu almubeenu | وقال الذين أشركوا لو شاء الله ما عبدنا من دونه من شيء نحن ولا آباؤنا ولا حرمنا من دونه من شيء كذلك فعل الذين من قبلهم فهل على الرسل إلا البلاغ المبين وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ لَوْ شَاءَ اللّهُ مَا عَبَدْنَا مِن دُونِهِ مِن شَيْءٍ نَّحْنُ وَلاَ آبَاؤُنَا وَلاَ حَرَّمْنَا مِن دُونِهِ مِن شَيْءٍ كَذَلِكَ فَعَلَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَهَلْ عَلَى الرُّسُلِ إِلاَّ الْبَلاغُ الْمُبِينُ | |||||

| 16 [19:74] | Wakam ahlakna qablahum min qarnin humahsanu athathan wari/yan | وكم أهلكنا قبلهم من قرن هم أحسن أثاثا ورئيا وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَحْسَنُ أَثَاثًا وَرِئْيًا | |||||

| 17 [19:98] | Wakam ahlakna qablahum min qarnin haltuhissu minhum min ahadin aw tasmaAAu lahum rikzan | وكم أهلكنا قبلهم من قرن هل تحس منهم من أحد أو تسمع لهم ركزا وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هَلْ تُحِسُّ مِنْهُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ أَوْ تَسْمَعُ لَهُمْ رِكْزًا | |||||

| 18 [20:128] | Afalam yahdi lahum kam ahlaknaqablahum mina alqurooni yamshoona fee masakinihim inna feethalika laayatin li-olee alnnuha | أفلم يهد لهم كم أهلكنا قبلهم من القرون يمشون في مساكنهم إن في ذلك لآيات لأولي النهى أَفَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ الْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِي مَسَاكِنِهِمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّأُوْلِي النُّهَى | |||||
