بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [16:26] | Qad makara allatheena min qablihimfaata Allahu bunyanahum mina alqawaAAidifakharra AAalayhimu alssaqfu min fawqihim waatahumualAAathabu min haythu la yashAAuroona
| قد مكر الذين من قبلهم فأتى الله بنيانهم من القواعد فخر عليهم السقف من فوقهم وأتاهم العذاب من حيث لا يشعرون قَدْ مَكَرَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَأَتَى اللّهُ بُنْيَانَهُم مِّنَ الْقَوَاعِدِ فَخَرَّ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّقْفُ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَأَتَاهُمُ الْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ يَشْعُرُونَ |
Words | |قد - Verily,| مكر - plotted| الذين - those who| من - (were) before them,| قبلهم - (were) before them,| فأتى - but Allah came| الله - but Allah came| بنيانهم - (at) their building| من - from| القواعد - the foundations,| فخر - so fell| عليهم - upon them| السقف - the roof| من - from| فوقهم - above them,| وأتاهم - and came to them| العذاب - the punishment| من - from| حيث - where| لا - they (did) not perceive.| يشعرون - they (did) not perceive.| |

| እነዚያ ከእነሱ (ከቁረይሾች) በፊት የነበሩት በእርግጥ መከሩ፡፡ አላህም ሕንጻዎቻቸውን ከመሠረቶቻቸው አፈረሰ፡፡ ጣሪያውም በእነሱ ላይ ከበላያቸው ወደቀባቸው፡፡ ቅጣቱም ከማያውቁት ሥፍራ መጣባቸው፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { قد مكر الذين من قبلهم } وهو نمروذ بنى صرحاً طويلا ليصعد منه إلى السماء ليقاتل أهلها { فأتى اللهُ } قصد { بنيانهم من القواعد } الأساس فأرسل عليه الريح والزلزلة فهدمته { فخر عليهم السقف من فوقهم } أي هم تحته { وأتاهم العذاب من حيث لا يشعرون } من جهة لا تخطر ببالهم وقيل هذا تمثيل لإفساد ما أبرموه من المكر بالرسل . |
| Ih, undin p, wid i ten id izwaren. Öebbi Iaâtad lebni nnsen, si llsas. I$li d ssqef fellasen. Iusa ten id uâaqeb seg wanda ur bnin. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | নিশ্চয় চক্রান্ত করেছে তাদের পূর্ববর্তীরা, অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাদের চক্রান্তের ইমারতের ভিত্তিমূলে আঘাত করেছিলেন। এরপর উপর থেকে তাদের মাথায় ছাদ ধ্বসে পড়ে গেছে এবং তাদের উপর আযাব এসেছে যেখান থেকে তাদের ধারণা ছিল না। |
Literal | Those from before them had cheated/deceived/schemed, so God came (and) destroyed their buildings/structures from the foundations/bases, so the roof/ceiling fell down on them from above them, and the torture came to them from where/when they do not feel/know/sense. |
Yusuf Ali | Those before them did also plot (against Allah's Way): but Allah took their structures from their foundations, and the roof fell down on them from above; and the Wrath seized them from directions they did not perceive. |
Pickthal | Those before them plotted, so Allah struck at the foundations of their building, and then the roof fell down upon them from above them, and the doom came on them whence they knew not; |
