| 1 [2:212] | Zuyyina lillatheena kafaroo alhayatualddunya wayaskharoona mina allatheena amanoowaallatheena ittaqaw fawqahum yawma alqiyamatiwaAllahu yarzuqu man yashao bighayri hisabin |  زين للذين كفروا الحياة الدنيا ويسخرون من الذين آمنوا والذين اتقوا فوقهم يوم القيامة والله يرزق من يشاء بغير حسابزُيِّنَ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا وَيَسْخَرُونَ مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَالَّذِينَ اتَّقَواْ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَاللّهُ يَرْزُقُ مَن يَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ | |||||
| Words | |زين - Beautified| للذين - for those who| كفروا - disbelieve[d]| الحياة - (is) the life| الدنيا - (of) the world,| ويسخرون - and they ridicule| من - [of]| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believe[d].| والذين - And those who| اتقوا - fear (Allah),| فوقهم - (they will be) above them| يوم - (on the) Day| القيامة - (of) Resurrection.| والله - And Allah| يرزق - provides| من - whom| يشاء - He wills| بغير - without| حساب - measure.| | ||||||
| 2 [4:154] | WarafaAAna fawqahumu alttoorabimeethaqihim waqulna lahumu odkhuloo albabasujjadan waqulna lahum la taAAdoo fee alssabtiwaakhathna minhum meethaqan ghaleethan | ورفعنا فوقهم الطور بميثاقهم وقلنا لهم ادخلوا الباب سجدا وقلنا لهم لا تعدوا في السبت وأخذنا منهم ميثاقا غليظا وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَهُمُ الطُّورَ بِمِيثَاقِهِمْ وَقُلْنَا لَهُمُ ادْخُلُواْ الْبَابَ سُجَّدًا وَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ لاَ تَعْدُواْ فِي السَّبْتِ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُم مِّيثَاقًا غَلِيظًا | |||||
| Words | |ورفعنا - And We raised| فوقهم - over them| الطور - the mount| بميثاقهم - for their covenant,| وقلنا - and We said| لهم - to them,| ادخلوا - "Enter| الباب - the gate,| سجدا - prostrating."| وقلنا - And We said| لهم - to them.| لا - "(Do) not| تعدوا - transgress| في - in| السبت - the Sabbath."| وأخذنا - And We took| منهم - from them| ميثاقا - a covenant| غليظا - solemn.| | ||||||
| 3 [5:66] | Walaw annahum aqamoo alttawratawaal-injeela wama onzila ilayhim min rabbihimlaakaloo min fawqihim wamin tahti arjulihim minhum ommatunmuqtasidatun wakatheerun minhum saa mayaAAmaloona | ولو أنهم أقاموا التوراة والإنجيل وما أنزل إليهم من ربهم لأكلوا من فوقهم ومن تحت أرجلهم منهم أمة مقتصدة وكثير منهم ساء ما يعملون وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ أَقَامُواْ التَّوْرَاةَ وَالْإِنجِيلَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيهِم مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ لَأَكَلُواْ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِهِم مِّنْهُمْ أُمَّةٌ مُّقْتَصِدَةٌ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ سَاءَ مَا يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولو - And if| أنهم - that they| أقاموا - had stood firmly| التوراة - (by) the Taurat| والإنجيل - and the Injeel| وما - and what| أنزل - was revealed| إليهم - to them| من - from| ربهم - their Lord,| لأكلوا - surely they (would have) eaten| من - from| فوقهم - above them| ومن - and from| تحت - beneath| أرجلهم - their feet.| منهم - Among them| أمة - (is) a community| مقتصدة - moderate,| وكثير - but many| منهم - of them -| ساء - evil| ما - (is) what| يعملون - they do.| | ||||||
| 4 [7:41] | Lahum min jahannama mihadun waminfawqihim ghawashin wakathalika najzee alththalimeena | لهم من جهنم مهاد ومن فوقهم غواش وكذلك نجزي الظالمين لَهُم مِّن جَهَنَّمَ مِهَادٌ وَمِن فَوْقِهِمْ غَوَاشٍ وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |لهم - For them| من - of| جهنم - (the) Hell| مهاد - (is) a bed| ومن - and from| فوقهم - over them| غواش - coverings.| وكذلك - And thus| نجزي - We recompense| الظالمين - the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 5 [7:127] | Waqala almalao min qawmi firAAawnaatatharu moosa waqawmahu liyufsidoo fee al-ardiwayatharaka waalihataka qala sanuqattilu abnaahumwanastahyee nisaahum wa-inna fawqahum qahiroona | وقال الملأ من قوم فرعون أتذر موسى وقومه ليفسدوا في الأرض ويذرك وآلهتك قال سنقتل أبناءهم ونستحيي نساءهم وإنا فوقهم قاهرون وَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِن قَوْمِ فِرْعَونَ أَتَذَرُ مُوسَى وَقَوْمَهُ لِيُفْسِدُواْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَيَذَرَكَ وَآلِهَتَكَ قَالَ سَنُقَتِّلُ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ وَنَسْتَحْيِـي نِسَاءَهُمْ وَإِنَّا فَوْقَهُمْ قَاهِرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - And said| الملأ - the chiefs| من - of| قوم - (the) people| فرعون - (of) Firaun,| أتذر - "Will you leave| موسى - Musa| وقومه - and his people| ليفسدوا - so that they cause corruption| في - in| الأرض - the earth| ويذرك - and forsake you| وآلهتك - and your gods?"| قال - He said,| سنقتل - "We will kill| أبناءهم - their sons| ونستحيي - and we will let live| نساءهم - their women,| وإنا - and indeed, we| فوقهم - over them| قاهرون - (are) subjugators."| | ||||||
| 6 [7:171] | Wa-ith nataqna aljabalafawqahum kaannahu thullatun wathannooannahu waqiAAun bihim khuthoo ma ataynakumbiquwwatin waothkuroo ma feehi laAAallakumtattaqoona | وإذ نتقنا الجبل فوقهم كأنه ظلة وظنوا أنه واقع بهم خذوا ما آتيناكم بقوة واذكروا ما فيه لعلكم تتقون وَإِذ نَتَقْنَا الْجَبَلَ فَوْقَهُمْ كَأَنَّهُ ظُلَّةٌ وَظَنُّواْ أَنَّهُ وَاقِعٌ بِهِمْ خُذُواْ مَا آتَيْنَاكُم بِقُوَّةٍ وَاذْكُرُواْ مَا فِيهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| نتقنا - We raised| الجبل - the mountain| فوقهم - above them| كأنه - as if it was| ظلة - a canopy| وظنوا - and they thought| أنه - that it| واقع - (would) fall| بهم - upon them,| خذوا - (We said), "Take| ما - what| آتيناكم - We have given you| بقوة - with strength| واذكروا - and remember| ما - what| فيه - (is) in it| لعلكم - so that you may| تتقون - fear Allah."| | ||||||
| 7 [16:26] | Qad makara allatheena min qablihimfaata Allahu bunyanahum mina alqawaAAidifakharra AAalayhimu alssaqfu min fawqihim waatahumualAAathabu min haythu la yashAAuroona | قد مكر الذين من قبلهم فأتى الله بنيانهم من القواعد فخر عليهم السقف من فوقهم وأتاهم العذاب من حيث لا يشعرون قَدْ مَكَرَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَأَتَى اللّهُ بُنْيَانَهُم مِّنَ الْقَوَاعِدِ فَخَرَّ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّقْفُ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَأَتَاهُمُ الْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لاَ يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قد - Verily,| مكر - plotted| الذين - those who| من - (were) before them,| قبلهم - (were) before them,| فأتى - but Allah came| الله - but Allah came| بنيانهم - (at) their building| من - from| القواعد - the foundations,| فخر - so fell| عليهم - upon them| السقف - the roof| من - from| فوقهم - above them,| وأتاهم - and came to them| العذاب - the punishment| من - from| حيث - where| لا - they (did) not perceive.| يشعرون - they (did) not perceive.| | ||||||
| 8 [16:50] | Yakhafoona rabbahum min fawqihimwayafAAaloona ma yu/maroona | يخافون ربهم من فوقهم ويفعلون ما يؤمرون يَخَافُونَ رَبَّهُم مِّن فَوْقِهِمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يخافون - They fear| ربهم - their Lord| من - above them,| فوقهم - above them,| ويفعلون - and they do| ما - what| يؤمرون - they are commanded.| | ||||||
| 9 [29:55] | Yawma yaghshahumu alAAathabumin fawqihim wamin tahti arjulihim wayaqoolu thooqooma kuntum taAAmaloona | يوم يغشاهم العذاب من فوقهم ومن تحت أرجلهم ويقول ذوقوا ما كنتم تعملون يَوْمَ يَغْشَاهُمُ الْعَذَابُ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِهِمْ وَيَقُولُ ذُوقُوا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يوم - On (the) Day| يغشاهم - will cover them| العذاب - the punishment| من - from| فوقهم - above them| ومن - and from| تحت - below| أرجلهم - their feet,| ويقول - and He will say,| ذوقوا - "Taste| ما - what| كنتم - you used| تعملون - (to) do."| | ||||||
| 10 [39:16] | Lahum min fawqihim thulalunmina alnnari wamin tahtihim thulalunthalika yukhawwifu Allahu bihi AAibadahu yaAAibadi faittaqooni | لهم من فوقهم ظلل من النار ومن تحتهم ظلل ذلك يخوف الله به عباده يا عباد فاتقون لَهُم مِّن فَوْقِهِمْ ظُلَلٌ مِّنَ النَّارِ وَمِن تَحْتِهِمْ ظُلَلٌ ذَلِكَ يُخَوِّفُ اللَّهُ بِهِ عِبَادَهُ يَا عِبَادِ فَاتَّقُونِ | |||||
| Words | |لهم - For them| من - from| فوقهم - above them| ظلل - coverings| من - of| النار - the Fire| ومن - and from| تحتهم - below them| ظلل - coverings.| ذلك - (With) that| يخوف - threatens| الله - Allah| به - [with it]| عباده - His slaves,| يا - O| عباد - "O My slaves!| فاتقون - So fear Me."| | ||||||
| 11 [50:6] | Afalam yanthuroo ila alssama-ifawqahum kayfa banaynaha wazayyannahawama laha min furoojin | أفلم ينظروا إلى السماء فوقهم كيف بنيناها وزيناها وما لها من فروج أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَاهَا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٍ | |||||
| Words | |أفلم - Then do not| ينظروا - they look| إلى - at| السماء - the sky| فوقهم - above them -| كيف - how| بنيناها - We structured it| وزيناها - and adorned it| وما - and not| لها - for it| من - any| فروج - rifts?| | ||||||
| 12 [67:19] | Awa lam yaraw ila alttayrifawqahum saffatin wayaqbidna mayumsikuhunna illa alrrahmanu innahubikulli shay-in baseerun | أولم يروا إلى الطير فوقهم صافات ويقبضن ما يمسكهن إلا الرحمن إنه بكل شيء بصير أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الطَّيْرِ فَوْقَهُمْ صَافَّاتٍ وَيَقْبِضْنَ مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ إِلَّا الرَّحْمَنُ إِنَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ بَصِيرٌ | |||||
| Words | |أولم - Do not| يروا - they see| إلى - [to]| الطير - the birds| فوقهم - above them| صافات - spreading (their wings)| ويقبضن - and folding?| ما - Not| يمسكهن - holds them| إلا - except| الرحمن - the Most Gracious.| إنه - Indeed, He| بكل - (is) of every| شيء - thing| بصير - All-Seer.| | ||||||
| 13 [69:17] | Waalmalaku AAala arja-ihawayahmilu AAarsha rabbika fawqahum yawma-ithin thamaniyatun | والملك على أرجائها ويحمل عرش ربك فوقهم يومئذ ثمانية وَالْمَلَكُ عَلَى أَرْجَائِهَا وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَانِيَةٌ | |||||
| Words | |والملك - And the Angels| على - (will be) on| أرجائها - its edges,| ويحمل - and will bear| عرش - (the) Throne| ربك - (of) your Lord| فوقهم - above them,| يومئذ - that Day,| ثمانية - eight.| | ||||||
