| 1 [7:4] | Wakam min qaryatin ahlaknahafajaaha ba/suna bayatan aw hum qa-iloona |  وكم من قرية أهلكناها فجاءها بأسنا بياتا أو هم قائلونوَكَم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا فَجَاءَهَا بَأْسُنَا بَيَاتًا أَوْ هُمْ قَآئِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وكم - And how many| من - of| قرية - a city| أهلكناها - We destroyed it,| فجاءها - and came to it| بأسنا - Our punishment| بياتا - (at) night| أو - or| هم - (while) they| قائلون - were sleeping at noon.| | ||||||
| 2 [7:97] | Afaamina ahlu alqura an ya/tiyahumba/suna bayatan wahum na-imoona | أفأمن أهل القرى أن يأتيهم بأسنا بياتا وهم نائمون أَفَأَمِنَ أَهْلُ الْقُرَى أَن يَأْتِيَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا بَيَاتاً وَهُمْ نَآئِمُونَ | |||||

| 3 [10:50] | Qul araaytum in atakum AAathabuhubayatan aw naharan matha yastaAAjilu minhualmujrimoona | قل أرأيتم إن أتاكم عذابه بياتا أو نهارا ماذا يستعجل منه المجرمون قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَتَاكُمْ عَذَابُهُ بَيَاتًا أَوْ نَهَارًا مَّاذَا يَسْتَعْجِلُ مِنْهُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| أرأيتم - "Do you see,| إن - if| أتاكم - comes to you| عذابه - His punishment| بياتا - (by) night| أو - or| نهارا - (by) day,| ماذا - what (portion)| يستعجل - of it would (wish to) hasten| منه - of it would (wish to) hasten| المجرمون - the criminals?"| | ||||||
