| 1 [7:95] | Thumma baddalna makana alssayyi-atialhasanata hatta AAafaw waqaloo qadmassa abaana alddarraowaalssarrao faakhathnahum baghtatanwahum la yashAAuroona |  ثم بدلنا مكان السيئة الحسنة حتى عفوا وقالوا قد مس آباءنا الضراء والسراء فأخذناهم بغتة وهم لا يشعرونثُمَّ بَدَّلْنَا مَكَانَ السَّيِّئَةِ الْحَسَنَةَ حَتَّى عَفَواْ وَّقَالُواْ قَدْ مَسَّ آبَاءَنَا الضَّرَّاءُ وَالسَّرَّاءُ فَأَخَذْنَاهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لاَ يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| بدلنا - We changed| مكان - (in) place| السيئة - (of) the bad| الحسنة - the good,| حتى - until| عفوا - they increased| وقالوا - and said,| قد - "Verily,| مس - (had) touched| آباءنا - our forefathers| الضراء - the adversity| والسراء - and the ease."| فأخذناهم - So We seized them| بغتة - suddenly,| وهم - while they| لا - (did) not| يشعرون - perceive.| | ||||||
| 2 [7:131] | Fa-itha jaat-humu alhasanatuqaloo lana hathihi wa-in tusibhumsayyi-atun yattayyaroo bimoosa waman maAAahu alainnama ta-iruhum AAinda Allahi walakinnaaktharahum la yaAAlamoona | فإذا جاءتهم الحسنة قالوا لنا هذه وإن تصبهم سيئة يطيروا بموسى ومن معه ألا إنما طائرهم عند الله ولكن أكثرهم لا يعلمون فَإِذَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْحَسَنَةُ قَالُواْ لَنَا هَـذِهِ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَطَّيَّرُواْ بِمُوسَى وَمَن مَّعَهُ أَلاَ إِنَّمَا طَائِرُهُمْ عِندَ اللّهِ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فإذا - But when| جاءتهم - came to them| الحسنة - the good| قالوا - they said,| لنا - "For us| هذه - (is) this."| وإن - And if| تصبهم - afflicts them| سيئة - bad,| يطيروا - they ascribe evil omens| بموسى - to Musa| ومن - and who| معه - (were) with him.| ألا - Behold!| إنما - Only| طائرهم - their evil omens| عند - (are) with| الله - Allah| ولكن - but| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 3 [13:6] | WayastaAAjiloonaka bialssayyi-atiqabla alhasanati waqad khalat min qablihimu almathulatuwa-inna rabbaka lathoo maghfiratin lilnnasiAAala thulmihim wa-inna rabbaka lashadeedualAAiqabi | ويستعجلونك بالسيئة قبل الحسنة وقد خلت من قبلهم المثلات وإن ربك لذو مغفرة للناس على ظلمهم وإن ربك لشديد العقاب وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ الْحَسَنَةِ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِمُ الْمَثُلاَتُ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغْفِرَةٍ لِّلنَّاسِ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَشَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ | |||||
| Words | |ويستعجلونك - And they ask you to hasten| بالسيئة - the evil| قبل - before| الحسنة - the good| وقد - and verily| خلت - has occurred| من - from| قبلهم - before them| المثلات - [the] similar punishments.| وإن - And indeed,| ربك - your Lord| لذو - (is) full| مغفرة - (of) forgiveness| للناس - for mankind| على - for| ظلمهم - their wrongdoing,| وإن - and indeed,| ربك - your Lord| لشديد - (is) severe| العقاب - (in) the penalty.| | ||||||
| 4 [16:125] | OdAAu ila sabeeli rabbika bialhikmatiwaalmawAAithati alhasanati wajadilhumbiallatee hiya ahsanu inna rabbaka huwa aAAlamubiman dalla AAan sabeelihi wahuwa aAAlamu bialmuhtadeena | ادع إلى سبيل ربك بالحكمة والموعظة الحسنة وجادلهم بالتي هي أحسن إن ربك هو أعلم بمن ضل عن سبيله وهو أعلم بالمهتدين ادْعُ إِلَى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ وَجَادِلْهُم بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ادع - Call| إلى - to| سبيل - (the) way| ربك - (of) your Lord| بالحكمة - with the wisdom| والموعظة - and the instruction| الحسنة - the good,| وجادلهم - and discuss with them| بالتي - in that| هي - which| أحسن - (is) best.| إن - Indeed,| ربك - your Lord,| هو - He| أعلم - (is) most knowing| بمن - of who| ضل - has strayed| عن - from| سبيله - His way,| وهو - And He| أعلم - (is) most knowing| بالمهتدين - of the guided ones.| | ||||||
| 5 [27:46] | Qala ya qawmi limatastaAAjiloona bialssayyi-ati qabla alhasanati lawlatastaghfiroona Allaha laAAallakum turhamoona | قال يا قوم لم تستعجلون بالسيئة قبل الحسنة لولا تستغفرون الله لعلكم ترحمون قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ لِمَ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ الْحَسَنَةِ لَوْلَا تَسْتَغْفِرُونَ اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| يا - O| قوم - "O my people!| لم - Why| تستعجلون - (do) you seek to hasten| بالسيئة - the evil| قبل - before| الحسنة - the good?| لولا - Why not| تستغفرون - you ask forgiveness| الله - (of) Allah| لعلكم - so that you may| ترحمون - receive mercy?"| | ||||||
| 6 [41:34] | Wala tastawee alhasanatu walaalssayyi-atu idfaAA biallatee hiya ahsanufa-itha allathee baynaka wabaynahu AAadawatunkaannahu waliyyun hameemun | ولا تستوي الحسنة ولا السيئة ادفع بالتي هي أحسن فإذا الذي بينك وبينه عداوة كأنه ولي حميم وَلَا تَسْتَوِي الْحَسَنَةُ وَلَا السَّيِّئَةُ ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ فَإِذَا الَّذِي بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ عَدَاوَةٌ كَأَنَّهُ وَلِيٌّ حَمِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And not| تستوي - (are) equal| الحسنة - the good (deed)| ولا - and| السيئة - the evil (deed).| ادفع - Repel| بالتي - by (that) which| هي - [it]| أحسن - (is) better;| فإذا - then behold!| الذي - One who,| بينك - between you| وبينه - and between him,| عداوة - (was) enmity,| كأنه - (will become) as if he| ولي - (was) a friend| حميم - intimate.| | ||||||
