| 1 [2:172] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanookuloo min tayyibati ma razaqnakum waoshkuroolillahi in kuntum iyyahu taAAbudoona |  يا أيها الذين آمنوا كلوا من طيبات ما رزقناكم واشكروا لله إن كنتم إياه تعبدونيَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ كُلُواْ مِن طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ وَاشْكُرُواْ لِلّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you| الذين - who| آمنوا - believe[d]!| كلوا - Eat| من - from| طيبات - (the) good| ما - (of) what| رزقناكم - We have provided you| واشكروا - and be grateful| لله - to Allah| إن - if| كنتم - you| إياه - alone| تعبدون - worship Him.| | ||||||
| 2 [6:41] | Bal iyyahu tadAAoona fayakshifu matadAAoona ilayhi in shaa watansawna ma tushrikoona | بل إياه تدعون فيكشف ما تدعون إليه إن شاء وتنسون ما تشركون بَلْ إِيَّاهُ تَدْعُونَ فَيَكْشِفُ مَا تَدْعُونَ إِلَيْهِ إِنْ شَاءَ وَتَنسَوْنَ مَا تُشْرِكُونَ | |||||
| Words | |بل - "Nay,| إياه - Him Alone| تدعون - you call| فيكشف - and He would remove| ما - what| تدعون - you call| إليه - upon Him| إن - if| شاء - He wills,| وتنسون - and you will forget| ما - what| تشركون - you associate (with Him)."| | ||||||
| 3 [9:114] | Wama kana istighfaruibraheema li-abeehi illa AAan mawAAidatin waAAadahaiyyahu falamma tabayyana lahu annahu AAaduwwun lillahitabarraa minhu inna ibraheema laawwahun haleemun | وما كان استغفار إبراهيم لأبيه إلا عن موعدة وعدها إياه فلما تبين له أنه عدو لله تبرأ منه إن إبراهيم لأواه حليم وَمَا كَانَ اسْتِغْفَارُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لِأَبِيهِ إِلاَّ عَن مَّوْعِدَةٍ وَعَدَهَا إِيَّاهُ فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ أَنَّهُ عَدُوٌّ لِلّهِ تَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُ إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لَأَوَّاهٌ حَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| كان - was| استغفار - (the) asking of forgiveness| إبراهيم - (by) Ibrahim| لأبيه - for his father| إلا - except| عن - because| موعدة - (of) a promise| وعدها - he had promised it| إياه - (to) him.| فلما - But when| تبين - it became clear| له - to him| أنه - that he| عدو - (was) an enemy| لله - to Allah,| تبرأ - he disassociated| منه - from him.| إن - Indeed,| إبراهيم - Ibrahim| لأواه - (was) compassionate,| حليم - forbearing.| | ||||||
| 4 [12:40] | Ma taAAbudoona min doonihi illaasmaan sammaytumooha antum waabaokumma anzala Allahu biha min sultaninini alhukmu illa lillahi amara allataAAbudoo illa iyyahu thalika alddeenualqayyimu walakinna akthara alnnasi layaAAlamoona | ما تعبدون من دونه إلا أسماء سميتموها أنتم وآباؤكم ما أنزل الله بها من سلطان إن الحكم إلا لله أمر ألا تعبدوا إلا إياه ذلك الدين القيم ولكن أكثر الناس لا يعلمون مَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِهِ إِلاَّ أَسْمَاءً سَمَّيْتُمُوهَا أَنتُمْ وَآبَآؤُكُم مَّا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلْطَانٍ إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلاَّ لِلّهِ أَمَرَ أَلاَّ تَعْبُدُواْ إِلاَّ إِيَّاهُ ذَلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ما - Not| تعبدون - you worship| من - besides Him| دونه - besides Him| إلا - but| أسماء - names| سميتموها - which you have named them,| أنتم - you| وآباؤكم - and your forefathers,| ما - not| أنزل - (has) sent down| الله - Allah| بها - for it| من - any| سلطان - authority.| إن - Not| الحكم - (is) the command| إلا - but| لله - for Allah.| أمر - He has commanded| ألا - that not| تعبدوا - you worship| إلا - but| إياه - Him Alone.| ذلك - That| الدين - (is) the religion| القيم - the right,| ولكن - but| أكثر - most| الناس - [the] men| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 5 [16:114] | Fakuloo mimma razaqakumu Allahuhalalan tayyiban waoshkuroo niAAmataAllahi in kuntum iyyahu taAAbudoona | فكلوا مما رزقكم الله حلالا طيبا واشكروا نعمت الله إن كنتم إياه تعبدون فَكُلُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللّهُ حَلاَلاً طَيِّبًا وَاشْكُرُواْ نِعْمَتَ اللّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فكلوا - So eat| مما - of what| رزقكم - Allah has provided you -| الله - Allah has provided you -| حلالا - lawful| طيبا - and good.| واشكروا - And be grateful| نعمت - (for the) Favor| الله - (of) Allah,| إن - if| كنتم - [you]| إياه - Him Alone| تعبدون - you worship.| | ||||||
| 6 [17:23] | Waqada rabbuka alla taAAbudooilla iyyahu wabialwalidayni ihsananimma yablughanna AAindaka alkibara ahaduhumaaw kilahuma fala taqul lahuma offinwala tanharhuma waqul lahuma qawlan kareeman | وقضى ربك ألا تعبدوا إلا إياه وبالوالدين إحسانا إما يبلغن عندك الكبر أحدهما أو كلاهما فلا تقل لهما أف ولا تنهرهما وقل لهما قولا كريما وَقَضَى رَبُّكَ أَلاَّ تَعْبُدُواْ إِلاَّ إِيَّاهُ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ الْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَوْ كِلاَهُمَا فَلاَ تَقُل لَّهُمَآ أُفٍّ وَلاَ تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُل لَّهُمَا قَوْلاً كَرِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |وقضى - And has decreed| ربك - your Lord,| ألا - that (do) not| تعبدوا - worship| إلا - except| إياه - Him Alone| وبالوالدين - and to the parents| إحسانا - (be) good.| إما - Whether| يبلغن - reach| عندك - with you| الكبر - the old age| أحدهما - one of them,| أو - or| كلاهما - both of them,| فلا - then (do) not| تقل - say| لهما - to both of them| أف - a word of disrespect| ولا - and (do) not| تنهرهما - repel them,| وقل - but speak| لهما - to them| قولا - a word| كريما - noble.| | ||||||
| 7 [17:67] | Wa-itha massakumu alddurrufee albahri dalla man tadAAoona illa iyyahufalamma najjakum ila albarri aAAradtumwakana al-insanu kafooran | وإذا مسكم الضر في البحر ضل من تدعون إلا إياه فلما نجاكم إلى البر أعرضتم وكان الإنسان كفورا وَإِذَا مَسَّكُمُ الْضُّرُّ فِي الْبَحْرِ ضَلَّ مَن تَدْعُونَ إِلاَّ إِيَّاهُ فَلَمَّا نَجَّاكُمْ إِلَى الْبَرِّ أَعْرَضْتُمْ وَكَانَ الْإِنْسَانُ كَفُورًا | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| مسكم - touches you| الضر - the hardship| في - in| البحر - the sea,| ضل - lost| من - (are) who| تدعون - you call| إلا - except| إياه - Him Alone.| فلما - But when| نجاكم - He delivers you| إلى - to| البر - the land| أعرضتم - you turn away.| وكان - And is| الإنسان - man| كفورا - ungrateful.| | ||||||
| 8 [41:37] | Wamin ayatihi allaylu waalnnaharuwaalshshamsu waalqamaru la tasjudoo lilshshamsiwala lilqamari waosjudoo lillahi alatheekhalaqahunna in kuntum iyyahu taAAbudoona | ومن آياته الليل والنهار والشمس والقمر لا تسجدوا للشمس ولا للقمر واسجدوا لله الذي خلقهن إن كنتم إياه تعبدون وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ وَالشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ لَا تَسْجُدُوا لِلشَّمْسِ وَلَا لِلْقَمَرِ وَاسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُنَّ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ومن - And of| آياته - His Signs| الليل - (are) the night| والنهار - and the day| والشمس - and the sun| والقمر - and the moon.| لا - (Do) not| تسجدوا - prostrate| للشمس - to the sun| ولا - and not| للقمر - to the moon,| واسجدوا - but prostrate| لله - to Allah| الذي - the One Who| خلقهن - created them,| إن - if| كنتم - you,| إياه - Him alone,| تعبدون - worship.| | ||||||
