بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [9:114] | Wama kana istighfaruibraheema li-abeehi illa AAan mawAAidatin waAAadahaiyyahu falamma tabayyana lahu annahu AAaduwwun lillahitabarraa minhu inna ibraheema laawwahun haleemun
| وما كان استغفار إبراهيم لأبيه إلا عن موعدة وعدها إياه فلما تبين له أنه عدو لله تبرأ منه إن إبراهيم لأواه حليم وَمَا كَانَ اسْتِغْفَارُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لِأَبِيهِ إِلاَّ عَن مَّوْعِدَةٍ وَعَدَهَا إِيَّاهُ فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ أَنَّهُ عَدُوٌّ لِلّهِ تَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُ إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لَأَوَّاهٌ حَلِيمٌ |
Words | |وما - And not| كان - was| استغفار - (the) asking of forgiveness| إبراهيم - (by) Ibrahim| لأبيه - for his father| إلا - except| عن - because| موعدة - (of) a promise| وعدها - he had promised it| إياه - (to) him.| فلما - But when| تبين - it became clear| له - to him| أنه - that he| عدو - (was) an enemy| لله - to Allah,| تبرأ - he disassociated| منه - from him.| إن - Indeed,| إبراهيم - Ibrahim| لأواه - (was) compassionate,| حليم - forbearing.| |

| የኢብራሂምም ለአባቱ ምሕረትን መለመን ለእርሱ ገብቶለት ለነበረችው ቃል (ለመሙላት) እንጂ ለሌላ አልነበረም፡፡ እርሱም የአላህ ጠላት መኾኑ ለእርሱ በተገለጸለት ጊዜ ከርሱ ራቀ፤ (ተወው)፡፡ ኢብራሂም በእርግጥ በጣም ርኅሩኅ ታጋሽ ነውና፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | ( وما كان استغفار إبراهيم لأبيه إلا عن موعدة وعدها إياه ) بقوله "" سأستغفر لك ربي "" رجاء أن يسلم ( فلما تبين له أنه عدو لله ) بموته على الكفر ( تبرأ منه ) وترك الاستغفار له ( إن إبراهيم لأواه ) كثير التضرع والدعاء ( حليم ) صبور على الأذى . |
| Ibôahim ur issuter ara ad ipwasemmeê baba s, siwa ilmend n lemâahda i s ifka. Mi s d iban ar neppa d acengu n Öebbi, ifra p yides. Ibôahim, war ccekk, ippanez, iêellem. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর ইব্রাহীম কর্তৃক স্বীয় পিতার মাগফেরাত কামনা ছিল কেবল সেই প্রতিশ্রুতির কারণে, যা তিনি তার সাথে করেছিলেন। অতঃপর যখন তাঁর কাছে একথা প্রকাশ পেল যে, সে আল্লাহর শত্রু তখন তার সাথে সম্পর্ক ছিন্ন করে নিলেন। নিঃসন্দেহে ইব্রাহীম ছিলেন বড় কোমল হৃদয়, সহনশীল। |
Literal | Abraham's asking for forgiveness for his father was not except on a promise he promised it (to only) him, so when (it) was clarified/explained to him, that he (his father is) an enemy to God, he declared innocence from him, that Abraham (is a) clement groaner/moaner (E) . |
Yusuf Ali | And Abraham prayed for his father's forgiveness only because of a promise he had made to him. But when it became clear to him that he was an enemy to Allah, he dissociated himself from him: for Abraham was most tender-hearted, forbearing. |
