| 1 [2:217] | Yas-aloonaka AAani alshshahri alharamiqitalin feehi qul qitalun feehi kabeerun wasaddunAAan sabeeli Allahi wakufrun bihi waalmasjidi alharamiwa-ikhraju ahlihi minhu akbaru AAinda Allahi waalfitnatuakbaru mina alqatli wala yazaloona yuqatiloonakumhatta yaruddookum AAan deenikum ini istataAAoowaman yartadid minkum AAan deenihi fayamut wahuwa kafirunfaola-ika habitat aAAmaluhum fee alddunyawaal-akhirati waola-ika as-habualnnari hum feeha khalidoona |  يسألونك عن الشهر الحرام قتال فيه قل قتال فيه كبير وصد عن سبيل الله وكفر به والمسجد الحرام وإخراج أهله منه أكبر عند الله والفتنة أكبر من القتل ولا يزالون يقاتلونكم حتى يردوكم عن دينكم إن استطاعوا ومن يرتدد منكم عن دينه فيمت وهو كافر فأولئك حبطت أعمالهم في الدنيا والآخرة وأولئك أصحاب النار هم فيها خالدونيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الشَّهْرِ الْحَرَامِ قِتَالٍ فِيهِ قُلْ قِتَالٌ فِيهِ كَبِيرٌ وَصَدٌّ عَن سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَكُفْرٌ بِهِ وَالْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَإِخْرَاجُ أَهْلِهِ مِنْهُ أَكْبَرُ عِندَ اللّهِ وَالْفِتْنَةُ أَكْبَرُ مِنَ الْقَتْلِ وَلاَ يَزَالُونَ يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ حَتَّىَ يَرُدُّوكُمْ عَن دِينِكُمْ إِنِ اسْتَطَاعُواْ وَمَن يَرْتَدِدْ مِنكُمْ عَن دِينِهِ فَيَمُتْ وَهُوَ كَافِرٌ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَأُوْلَـئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يسألونك - They ask you| عن - about| الشهر - the month| الحرام - [the] sacred -| قتال - (concerning) fighting| فيه - in it.| قل - Say,| قتال - "Fighting| فيه - therein| كبير - (is) a great (sin);| وصد - but hindering (people)| عن - from| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah,| وكفر - and disbelief| به - in Him| والمسجد - and (preventing access to) Al-Masjid| الحرام - Al-Haraam,| وإخراج - and driving out| أهله - its people| منه - from it,| أكبر - (is) greater (sin)| عند - near| الله - Allah.| والفتنة - And [the] oppression| أكبر - (is) greater| من - than| القتل - [the] killing."| ولا - And not| يزالون - they will cease| يقاتلونكم - (to) fight with you| حتى - until| يردوكم - they turn you away| عن - from| دينكم - your religion,| إن - if| استطاعوا - they are able.| ومن - And whoever| يرتدد - turns away| منكم - among you| عن - from| دينه - his religion,| فيمت - then dies| وهو - while he| كافر - (is) a disbeliever| فأولئك - for those| حبطت - became worthless| أعمالهم - their deeds| في - in| الدنيا - the world| والآخرة - and the Hereafter.| وأولئك - And those| أصحاب - (are) companions| النار - (of) the Fire,| هم - they| فيها - in it| خالدون - (will) abide forever.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:219] | Yas-aloonaka AAani alkhamri waalmaysiriqul feehima ithmun kabeerun wamanafiAAu lilnnasiwa-ithmuhuma akbaru min nafAAihima wayas-aloonaka mathayunfiqoona quli alAAafwa kathalika yubayyinu Allahulakumu al-ayati laAAallakum tatafakkaroona | يسألونك عن الخمر والميسر قل فيهما إثم كبير ومنافع للناس وإثمهما أكبر من نفعهما ويسألونك ماذا ينفقون قل العفو كذلك يبين الله لكم الآيات لعلكم تتفكرون يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِ قُلْ فِيهِمَا إِثْمٌ كَبِيرٌ وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَإِثْمُهُمَآ أَكْبَرُ مِن نَّفْعِهِمَا وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ مَاذَا يُنفِقُونَ قُلِ الْعَفْوَ كَذَلِكَ يُبيِّنُ اللّهُ لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَفَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يسألونك - They ask you| عن - about| الخمر - [the] intoxicants| والميسر - and [the] games of chance| قل - Say,| فيهما - "In both of them| إثم - (is) a sin| كبير - great,| ومنافع - and (some) benefits| للناس - for [the] people.| وإثمهما - But sin of both of them| أكبر - (is) greater| من - than| نفعهما - (the) benefit of (the) two."| ويسألونك - And they ask you| ماذا - what| ينفقون - they (should) spend.| قل - Say,| العفو - "The surplus."| كذلك - Thus| يبين - makes clear| الله - Allah| لكم - to you| الآيات - [the] Verses| لعلكم - so that you may| تتفكرون - ponder,| | ||||||
| 3 [3:118] | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola tattakhithoo bitanatan min doonikum laya/loonakum khabalan waddoo ma AAanittum qad badatialbaghdao min afwahihim wama tukhfee sudooruhumakbaru qad bayyanna lakumu al-ayati inkuntum taAAqiloona | يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تتخذوا بطانة من دونكم لا يألونكم خبالا ودوا ما عنتم قد بدت البغضاء من أفواههم وما تخفي صدورهم أكبر قد بينا لكم الآيات إن كنتم تعقلون يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ لاَ تَتَّخِذُواْ بِطَانَةً مِّن دُونِكُمْ لاَ يَأْلُونَكُمْ خَبَالاً وَدُّواْ مَا عَنِتُّمْ قَدْ بَدَتِ الْبَغْضَاءُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَمَا تُخْفِي صُدُورُهُمْ أَكْبَرُ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O you| الذين - who| آمنوا - believe[d]!| لا - (Do) not| تتخذوا - take| بطانة - (as) intimates| من - from| دونكم - other than yourselves,| لا - not| يألونكم - they will spare you| خبالا - (any) ruin.| ودوا - They wish| ما - what| عنتم - distresses you.| قد - Indeed,| بدت - (has become) apparent| البغضاء - the hatred| من - from| أفواههم - their mouths,| وما - and what| تخفي - conceals| صدورهم - their breasts| أكبر - (is) greater.| قد - Certainly| بينا - We made clear| لكم - for you| الآيات - the Verses,| إن - if| كنتم - you were| تعقلون - (to use) reason.| | ||||||
| 4 [4:153] | Yas-aluka ahlu alkitabi an tunazzilaAAalayhim kitaban mina alssama-i faqadsaaloo moosa akbara min thalika faqaloo arinaAllaha jahratan faakhathat-humu alssaAAiqatubithulmihim thumma ittakhathoo alAAijla minbaAAdi ma jaat-humu albayyinatu faAAafawnaAAan thalika waatayna moosa sultananmubeenan | يسألك أهل الكتاب أن تنزل عليهم كتابا من السماء فقد سألوا موسى أكبر من ذلك فقالوا أرنا الله جهرة فأخذتهم الصاعقة بظلمهم ثم اتخذوا العجل من بعد ما جاءتهم البينات فعفونا عن ذلك وآتينا موسى سلطانا مبينا يَسْأَلُكَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ أَن تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ كِتَابًا مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ فَقَدْ سَأَلُواْ مُوسَى أَكْبَرَ مِن ذَلِكَ فَقَالُواْ أَرِنَا اللّهَ جَهْرَةً فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ بِظُلْمِهِمْ ثُمَّ اتَّخَذُواْ الْعِجْلَ مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ فَعَفَوْنَا عَن ذَلِكَ وَآتَيْنَا مُوسَى سُلْطَانًا مُّبِينًا | |||||
| Words | |يسألك - Ask you| أهل - (the) People| الكتاب - (of) the Book| أن - that| تنزل - you bring down| عليهم - to them| كتابا - a book| من - from| السماء - the heaven.| فقد - Then indeed,| سألوا - they (had) asked| موسى - Musa| أكبر - greater| من - than| ذلك - that| فقالوا - for they said,| أرنا - "Show us| الله - Allah| جهرة - manifestly,"| فأخذتهم - so struck them| الصاعقة - the thunderbolt| بظلمهم - for their wrongdoing.| ثم - Then| اتخذوا - they took| العجل - the calf (for worship)| من - from| بعد - after| ما - [what]| جاءتهم - came to them| البينات - the clear proofs,| فعفونا - then We forgave them| عن - for| ذلك - that.| وآتينا - And We gave| موسى - Musa| سلطانا - an authority| مبينا - clear.| | ||||||
| 5 [6:19] | Qul ayyu shay-in akbaru shahadatanquli Allahu shaheedun baynee wabaynakum waoohiyailayya hatha alqur-anu li-onthirakum bihiwaman balagha a-innakum latashhadoona anna maAAa Allahi alihatanokhra qul la ashhadu qul innama huwa ilahunwahidun wa-innanee baree-on mimma tushrikoona | قل أي شيء أكبر شهادة قل الله شهيد بيني وبينكم وأوحي إلي هذا القرآن لأنذركم به ومن بلغ أئنكم لتشهدون أن مع الله آلهة أخرى قل لا أشهد قل إنما هو إله واحد وإنني بريء مما تشركون قُلْ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ أَكْبَرُ شَهَادَةً قُلِ اللّهُ شَهِيدٌ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَأُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ هَذَا الْقُرْآنُ لِأُنذِرَكُم بِهِ وَمَن بَلَغَ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّ مَعَ اللّهِ آلِهَةً أُخْرَى قُل لاَّ أَشْهَدُ قُلْ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَـهٌ وَاحِدٌ وَإِنَّنِي بَرِيءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| أي - "What| شيء - thing| أكبر - (is) greatest| شهادة - (as) a testimony?"| قل - Say,| الله - "Allah| شهيد - (is) Witness| بيني - between me| وبينكم - and between you,| وأوحي - and has been revealed| إلي - to me| هذا - this| القرآن - [the] Quran| لأنذركم - that I may warn you| به - with it| ومن - and whoever| بلغ - it reaches.| أئنكم - Do you truly| لتشهدون - testify| أن - that| مع - with| الله - Allah| آلهة - (there are) gods| أخرى - other?"| قل - Say,| لا - Not| أشهد - (do) I testify.| قل - Say,| إنما - "Only| هو - He| إله - (is) God,| واحد - One.| وإنني - and indeed, I am| بريء - free| مما - of what| تشركون - you associate (with Him).| | ||||||
| 6 [6:78] | Falamma raa alshshamsabazighatan qala hatha rabbee hathaakbaru falamma afalat qala ya qawmi inneebaree-on mimma tushrikoona | فلما رأى الشمس بازغة قال هذا ربي هذا أكبر فلما أفلت قال يا قوم إني بريء مما تشركون فَلَمَّا رَأَى الشَّمْسَ بَازِغَةً قَالَ هَـذَا رَبِّي هَـذَآ أَكْبَرُ فَلَمَّا أَفَلَتْ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ | |||||
| Words | |فلما - When| رأى - he saw| الشمس - the sun| بازغة - rising| قال - he said,| هذا - "This (is)| ربي - my Lord,| هذا - this (is)| أكبر - greater."| فلما - But when| أفلت - it set,| قال - he said,| يا - O| قوم - "O my people!| إني - Indeed, I am| بريء - free| مما - of what| تشركون - you associate (with Allah)."| | ||||||
| 7 [9:72] | WaAAada Allahu almu/mineena waalmu/minatijannatin tajree min tahtiha al-anharukhalideena feeha wamasakina tayyibatanfee jannati AAadnin waridwanun mina Allahiakbaru thalika huwa alfawzu alAAatheemu | وعد الله المؤمنين والمؤمنات جنات تجري من تحتها الأنهار خالدين فيها ومساكن طيبة في جنات عدن ورضوان من الله أكبر ذلك هو الفوز العظيم وَعَدَ اللّهُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَمَسَاكِنَ طَيِّبَةً فِي جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ وَرِضْوَانٌ مِّنَ اللّهِ أَكْبَرُ ذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ | |||||
| Words | |وعد - (Has been) promised| الله - (by) Allah| المؤمنين - (to) the believing men| والمؤمنات - and the believing women| جنات - Gardens,| تجري - flow| من - from| تحتها - underneath it| الأنهار - the rivers| خالدين - (will) abide forever| فيها - in it| ومساكن - and dwellings| طيبة - blessed| في - in| جنات - Gardens| عدن - (of) everlasting bliss.| ورضوان - But the pleasure| من - of| الله - Allah| أكبر - (is) greater.| ذلك - That,| هو - it| الفوز - (is) the success| العظيم - great.| | ||||||
| 8 [10:61] | Wama takoonu fee sha/nin wamatatloo minhu min qur-anin wala taAAmaloona minAAamalin illa kunna AAalaykum shuhoodan ithtufeedoona feehi wama yaAAzubu AAan rabbika minmithqali tharratin fee al-ardi walafee alssama-i wala asghara min thalikawala akbara illa fee kitabin mubeenun | وما تكون في شأن وما تتلو منه من قرآن ولا تعملون من عمل إلا كنا عليكم شهودا إذ تفيضون فيه وما يعزب عن ربك من مثقال ذرة في الأرض ولا في السماء ولا أصغر من ذلك ولا أكبر إلا في كتاب مبين وَمَا تَكُونُ فِي شَأْنٍ وَمَا تَتْلُو مِنْهُ مِن قُرْآنٍ وَلاَ تَعْمَلُونَ مِنْ عَمَلٍ إِلاَّ كُنَّا عَلَيْكُمْ شُهُودًا إِذْ تُفِيضُونَ فِيهِ وَمَا يَعْزُبُ عَن رَّبِّكَ مِن مِّثْقَالِ ذَرَّةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلاَ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَلاَ أَصْغَرَ مِن ذَلِكَ وَلا أَكْبَرَ إِلاَّ فِي كِتَابٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||

| 9 [16:41] | Waallatheena hajaroofee Allahi min baAAdi ma thulimoolanubawwi-annahum fee alddunya hasanatanwalaajru al-akhirati akbaru law kanoo yaAAlamoona | والذين هاجروا في الله من بعد ما ظلموا لنبوئنهم في الدنيا حسنة ولأجر الآخرة أكبر لو كانوا يعلمون وَالَّذِينَ هَاجَرُواْ فِي اللّهِ مِن بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُواْ لَنُبَوِّئَنَّهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَلَأَجْرُ الْآخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ لَوْ كَانُواْ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those who| هاجروا - emigrated| في - in (the way)| الله - (of) Allah| من - after| بعد - after| ما - [what]| ظلموا - they were wronged,| لنبوئنهم - surely We will give them position| في - in| الدنيا - the world| حسنة - good,| ولأجر - but surely the reward| الآخرة - (of) the Hereafter| أكبر - (is) greater,| لو - if| كانوا - they| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 10 [17:21] | Onthur kayfa faddalnabaAAdahum AAala baAAdin walal-akhiratuakbaru darajatin waakbaru tafdeelan | انظر كيف فضلنا بعضهم على بعض وللآخرة أكبر درجات وأكبر تفضيلا انظُرْ كَيْفَ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ وَلَلْآخِرَةُ أَكْبَرُ دَرَجَاتٍ وَأَكْبَرُ تَفْضِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |انظر - See| كيف - how| فضلنا - We preferred| بعضهم - some of them| على - over| بعض - others.| وللآخرة - And surely the Hereafter| أكبر - (is) greater| درجات - (in) degrees| وأكبر - and greater| تفضيلا - (in) excellence.| | ||||||
| 11 [29:45] | Otlu ma oohiya ilayka minaalkitabi waaqimi alssalata inna alssalatatanha AAani alfahsha-i waalmunkariwalathikru Allahi akbaru waAllahuyaAAlamu ma tasnaAAoona | اتل ما أوحي إليك من الكتاب وأقم الصلاة إن الصلاة تنهى عن الفحشاء والمنكر ولذكر الله أكبر والله يعلم ما تصنعون اتْلُ مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ تَنْهَى عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنكَرِ وَلَذِكْرُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَصْنَعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |اتل - Recite| ما - what| أوحي - has been revealed| إليك - to you| من - of| الكتاب - the Book,| وأقم - and establish| الصلاة - the prayer.| إن - Indeed,| الصلاة - the prayer| تنهى - prevents| عن - from| الفحشاء - the immorality| والمنكر - and evil deeds,| ولذكر - and surely (the) remembrance| الله - (of) Allah| أكبر - (is) greatest.| والله - And Allah| يعلم - knows| ما - what| تصنعون - you do.| | ||||||
| 12 [34:3] | Waqala allatheena kafaroo lata/teena alssaAAatu qul bala warabbeelata/tiyannakum AAalimi alghaybi la yaAAzubu AAanhumithqalu tharratin fee alssamawatiwala fee al-ardi wala asgharu min thalikawala akbaru illa fee kitabin mubeenin | وقال الذين كفروا لا تأتينا الساعة قل بلى وربي لتأتينكم عالم الغيب لا يعزب عنه مثقال ذرة في السماوات ولا في الأرض ولا أصغر من ذلك ولا أكبر إلا في كتاب مبين وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَا تَأْتِينَا السَّاعَةُ قُلْ بَلَى وَرَبِّي لَتَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْهُ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا أَصْغَرُ مِن ذَلِكَ وَلَا أَكْبَرُ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُّبِينٍ | |||||
| Words | |وقال - But say| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve,| لا - "Not| تأتينا - will come to us| الساعة - the Hour."| قل - Say,| بلى - "Nay,| وربي - by my Lord| لتأتينكم - surely it will come to you.| عالم - (He is the) Knower| الغيب - (of) the unseen."| لا - Not| يعزب - escapes| عنه - from Him| مثقال - (the) weight| ذرة - (of) an atom| في - in| السماوات - the heavens| ولا - and not| في - in| الأرض - the earth| ولا - and not| أصغر - smaller| من - than| ذلك - that| ولا - and not| أكبر - greater,| إلا - but| في - (is) in| كتاب - a Record| مبين - Clear.| | ||||||
| 13 [39:26] | Faathaqahumu Allahu alkhizyafee alhayati alddunya walaAAathabual-akhirati akbaru law kanoo yaAAlamoona | فأذاقهم الله الخزي في الحياة الدنيا ولعذاب الآخرة أكبر لو كانوا يعلمون فَأَذَاقَهُمُ اللَّهُ الْخِزْيَ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||

| 14 [40:10] | Inna allatheena kafaroo yunadawnalamaqtu Allahi akbaru min maqtikum anfusakum ithtudAAawna ila al-eemani fatakfuroona | إن الذين كفروا ينادون لمقت الله أكبر من مقتكم أنفسكم إذ تدعون إلى الإيمان فتكفرون إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُنَادَوْنَ لَمَقْتُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ مِن مَّقْتِكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ إِذْ تُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى الْإِيْمَانِ فَتَكْفُرُونَ | |||||

| 15 [40:57] | Lakhalqu alssamawati waal-ardiakbaru min khalqi alnnasi walakinna aktharaalnnasi la yaAAlamoona | لخلق السماوات والأرض أكبر من خلق الناس ولكن أكثر الناس لا يعلمون لَخَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ خَلْقِ النَّاسِ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||

| 16 [43:48] | Wama nureehim min ayatin illahiya akbaru min okhtiha waakhathnahum bialAAathabilaAAallahum yarjiAAoona | وما نريهم من آية إلا هي أكبر من أختها وأخذناهم بالعذاب لعلهم يرجعون وَمَا نُرِيهِم مِّنْ آيَةٍ إِلَّا هِيَ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ أُخْتِهَا وَأَخَذْنَاهُم بِالْعَذَابِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| نريهم - We showed them| من - of| آية - a Sign| إلا - but| هي - it| أكبر - (was) greater| من - than| أختها - its sister,| وأخذناهم - and We seized them| بالعذاب - with the punishment| لعلهم - so that they may| يرجعون - return.| | ||||||

| Words | |كذلك - Such| العذاب - (is) the punishment.| ولعذاب - And surely the punishment| الآخرة - (of) the Hereafter| أكبر - (is) greater,| لو - if| كانوا - they| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
