بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [39:26] | Faathaqahumu Allahu alkhizyafee alhayati alddunya walaAAathabual-akhirati akbaru law kanoo yaAAlamoona
| فأذاقهم الله الخزي في الحياة الدنيا ولعذاب الآخرة أكبر لو كانوا يعلمون فَأَذَاقَهُمُ اللَّهُ الْخِزْيَ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ |
Words | |فأذاقهم - So Allah made them| الله - So Allah made them| الخزي - the disgrace| في - in| الحياة - the life| الدنيا - (of) the world,| ولعذاب - and certainly (the) punishment| الآخرة - (of) the Hereafter| أكبر - (is) greater,| لو - if| كانوا - they| يعلمون - knew.| |

| አላህም በቅርቢቱ ሕይወት ውርደትን አቀመሳቸው፡፡ የመጨረሻይቱም ዓለም ቅጣት በጣም ትልቅ ነው፡፡ የሚያውቁ ቢኾኑ ኖሮ (አያስተባብሉም ነበር)፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { فأذاقهم الله الخزي } الذل والهوان من المسخ والقتل وغيره { في الحياة الدنيا ولعذاب الآخرة أكبر لو كانوا } أي المكذبون { يعلمون } عذابها ما كذبوا . |
| Issukk fellasen Öebbi aâaqeb, di tmeddurt n ddunit; war ccekk, aâaqeb n laxeôt iugar it, lemmer éeôôen! |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাদেরকে পার্থিব জীবনে লাঞ্ছনার স্বাদ আস্বাদন করালেন, আর পরকালের আযাব হবে আরও গুরুতর, যদি তারা জানত! |
Literal | So God made them taste/experience the shame/disgrace/scandal in the life the present/worldly life, and the end's (other life's) torture (E) (is) greater if they were knowing. |
Yusuf Ali | So Allah gave them a taste of humiliation in the present life, but greater is the punishment of the Hereafter, if they only knew! |
Pickthal | Thus Allah made them taste humiliation in the life of the world, and verily the doom of the Hereafter will be greater if they did but know. |
Arberry | so God let them taste degradation in this present life; and the chastisement of the world to come is assuredly greater, did they but know. |
Shakir | So Allah made them taste the disgrace in this world's life, and certainly the punishment of the hereafter is greater; did they but know! |
