| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[70:21] | Wa-itha massahu alkhayru manooAAan
|  وإذا مسه الخير منوعا
وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ الْخَيْرُ مَنُوعًا |
| Words | |وإذا - And when| مسه - touches him| الخير - the good,| منوعا - withholding,| |

| መልካምም ነገር (ድሎት) ባገኘ ጊዜ ከልካይ (ኾኖ ተፈጠረ)፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وإذا مسه الخير منوعا } وقت مس الخير أي المال لحق الله منه. |
| Ma innul it lxiô, ad isquceê. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর যখন কল্যাণপ্রাপ্ত হয়, তখন কৃপণ হয়ে যায়। |
| Literal | And if the goodness touched him, (he is) often preventing/prohibiting . |
| Yusuf Ali | And niggardly when good reaches him;- |
| Pickthal | And, when good befalleth him, grudging; |
| Arberry | when good visits him, grudging, |
| Shakir | And niggardly when good befalls him |
| Sarwar | but when they are fortunate, they become niggardly |
