بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Waminhum man yastamiAAu ilayka wajaAAalnaAAala quloobihim akinnatan an yafqahoohu wafee athanihimwaqran wa-in yaraw kulla ayatin la yu/minoo bihahatta itha jaooka yujadiloonakayaqoolu allatheena kafaroo in hatha illa asateerual-awwaleena

ومنهم من يستمع إليك وجعلنا على قلوبهم أكنة أن يفقهوه وفي آذانهم وقرا وإن يروا كل آية لا يؤمنوا بها حتى إذا جاءوك يجادلونك يقول الذين كفروا إن هذا إلا أساطير الأولين
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَن يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا وَإِن يَرَوْاْ كُلَّ آيَةٍ لاَّ يُؤْمِنُواْ بِهَا حَتَّى إِذَا جَآؤُوكَ يُجَادِلُونَكَ يَقُولُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ إِنْ هَذَآ إِلاَّ أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ

Words

ከእነርሱም ወደ አንተ የሚያዳምጥ ሰው አልለ፡፡ በልቦቻቸውም ላይ እንዳያውቁት ሺፋኖችን በጆሮዎቻቸውም ላይ ድንቁርናን አደረግን፡፡ ተዓምርንም ሁሉ ቢያዩ በርሷ አያምኑም፡፡ በመጡህም ጊዜ የሚከራከሩህ ሲኾኑ እነዚያ የካዱት «ይህ (ቁርኣን) የቀድሞዎቹ ሰዎች ጽሑፍ ተረቶች እንጅ ሌላ አይደለም» ይላሉ፡፡

آل الجلالين

{ ومنهم من يستمع إليك } إذا قرأت { وجعلنا على قلوبهم أكنة } أغطية لـ { أن } لا { يفقهوه } يفهموا القرآن { وفي آذانهم وقرا } صما فلا يسمعونه سماع قبول { وإن يروا كل آية لا يؤمنوا بها حتى إذا جاءُوك يجادلونك يقول الذين كفروا إن } ما { هذا } القرآن {إلا أساطير } أكاذيب { الأولين } كالأضاحيك والأعاجيب جمع أسطورة بالضم .

Garasen wid i k issemêasen. Nerra aêurrim $ef ulawen nnsen, iwakken ur t fehmen. Tiâééegt deg imeééu$en nnsen. Ma walan yal assekni, ur ppamnen yis. Alamma, ma usan d $uôek, a k namren, ad ak inin wid ijehlen: ayagi siwa tiêkayin imezwura.

মুহিউদ্দীন খান

তাদের কেউ কেউ আপনার দিকে কান লাগিয়ে থাকে। আমি তাদের অন্তরের উপর আবরণ রেখে দিয়েছি যাতে একে না বুঝে এবং তাদের কানে বোঝা ভরে দিয়েছি। যদি তারা সব নিদর্শন অবলোকন করে তবুও সেগুলো বিশ্বাস করবে না। এমনকি, তারা যখন আপনার কাছে ঝগড়া করতে আসে, তখন কাফেররা বলেঃ এটি পুর্ববর্তীদের কিচ্ছাকাহিনী বৈ তো নয়।

Literal

And from them who listens to you, and We put on their hearts/minds covers/protections, that they (not) understand/learn it, and in their ears deafness/heaviness, and if they see every evidence/sign/verse, they do not believe with it until when/if they came to you arguing/disputing with you, those who disbelieved, say: "That that (is) except the first's/beginner's myths ."

Yusuf Ali

Of them there are some who (pretend to) listen to thee; but We have thrown veils on their hearts, So they understand it not, and deafness in their ears; if they saw every one of the signs, not they will believe in them; in so much that when they come to thee, they (but) dispute with thee; the Unbelievers say: "These are nothing but tales of the ancients."

Pickthal

Of them are some who listen unto thee, but We have placed upon their hearts veils, lest they should understand, and in their ears a deafness. If they saw every token they would not believe therein; to the point that, when they come unto thee to argue with thee, the disbelievers say: This is naught else than fables of the men of old.

Arberry

And some of them there are that listen to thee, and We lay veils upon their hearts lest they understand it, and in their ears heaviness; and if they see any sign whatever, they do not believe in it, so that when they come to thee they dispute with thee, the unbelievers saying, 'This is naught but the fairy-tales of the ancient ones.'

Shakir

And of them is he who hearkens to you, and We have cast veils over their hearts lest they understand it and a heaviness into their ears; and even if they see every sign they will not believe in it; so much so that when they come to you they only dispute with you; those who disbelieve say: This is naught but the stories of the ancients.

Sarwar

Some of them listen to you, but We have veiled their hearts so that they cannot understand and made them deaf. They disbelieve all the evidence (of Our existence) that they may have seen. They only come to you for the sake of argument and the disbelievers say that (whatever Muhammad says) is no more than ancient legends.

H/K/Saheeh

And among them are those who listen to you, but We have placed over their hearts coverings, lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And if they should see every sign, they will not believe in it. Even when they come to you arguing with you, those who disbelieve say, "This is not but legends of the former peoples."

Malik

Of them there are some who pretend that they listen to you; but their prejudices have dulled their faculties and We have cast veils over their hearts and deafness in their ears so they are unable to understand. Even if they see every one of Our Signs, they will not believe. So much so, that when they come to you, they argue with you. The unbelievers say: "These are nothing but tales of the old times."[25]

Maulana Ali**

And of them is he who hearkens to thee and We have cast veils over their hearts so that they understand it not and a deafness into their ears. And (even) if they see every sign they will not believe in it. So much so that when they come to thee they only dispute with thee -- those who disbelieve say: This is naught but stories of the ancients.

Free Minds

And from them are those who listen to you; and We have made covers over their hearts to prevent them from understanding it, and a deafness in their ears; and if they see every sign they will not believe; even when they come to you they argue, those who reject Say: "This is nothing but the tales from the past!"

Some of them listen to you. But We have cast veils over their hearts lest they understand it and in their ears heaviness; and if they see every sign they do not believe in it. When they come to you they argue, the unbelievers say: 'This is nothing but the tales of the ancient ones. '

There is of them who hearkeneth unto thee when thou readest the Koran; but We have cast vails over their hearts, that they should not understand it, and a deafness in their ears: And though they should see all kinds of signs, they will not believe therein; and their infidelity will arrive to that height that they will even come unto thee, to dispute with thee. The unbelievers will say, this is nothing but silly fables of ancient times.

And there are among them such as [seem to] listen to thee [O Prophet]: but over their hearts We have laid veils which prevent them from grasping the truth, and into their ears, deafness." And were they to see every sign [of the truth], they would still not believe in it-so much so that when they come unto thee to contend with thee, those who are bent on denying the truth say, "This is nothing but fables of ancient times!"

Khalifa**

Some of them listen to you, but we place veils on their hearts to prevent them from understanding, and deafness in their ears. Thus, no matter what kind of proof they see, they cannot believe. Thus, when they come to argue with you, the disbelievers say, "These are tales from the past."

Hilali/Khan**

And of them there are some who listen to you; but We have set veils on their hearts, so they understand it not, and deafness in their ears; if they see every one of the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) they will not believe therein; to the point that when they come to you to argue with you, the disbelievers say: "These are nothing but tales of the men of old."

QXP Shabbir Ahemd**

Some of them pretend to listen to you, but Our Law has already veiled their hearts from understanding and caused deafness in their ears. Blind followers fail to believe even when they see all kinds of proofs. When they come to argue with you, they say about the Qur'an, "These are stories of the bygones."

Heidän joukossaan on sellaisiakin, jotka sinua kuuntelevat, mutta Me olemme verholla peittäneet heidän sydämensä, niin etteivät he voi ymmärtää sitä (Koraania) ja heidän korvansa ovat tukitut, ja vaikka he näkisivät mitä tunnusmerkkejä, eivät he usko niihin, niin että uskottomat tullessaan luoksesi väittelemään kanssasi sanovat: »Nämä ovat vain niitä entisten ihmisten juttuja.»

Na adn a pd kiran a pphamakin´gn ka niyan; na tiyagoan Ami so manga poso iran sa manga pils, ka an iran oto di khasabot, go (tiyagoan Ami) so manga tangila iran sa kabngl; na apiya maylay ran so langowan o tanda, na di iran oto paratiyayaan; taman sa igira a miyakaoma siran rka, na pphamawaln ka iran; gii tharoon o siran a da pamaratiyaya a: "Da a salakaw saya a rowar sa manga iringa a kabokhag o miyangaoona."

Ahmed Raza Khan

اور ان میں کوئی وہ ہے جو تمہاری طرف کان لگاتا ہے اور ہم نے ان کے دلوں پر غلاف کردیے ہیں کہ اسے نہ سمجھیں اور ان کے کانٹ میں ٹینٹ (روئی) اور اگر ساری نشانیاں دیکھیں تو ان پر ایمان نہ لائیں گے یہاں تک کہ جب تمہارے حضور تم سے جھگڑتے حاضر ہوں تو کافر کہیں یہ تو نہیں مگر اگلوں کی داستانیں

Shabbir Ahmed

اور ان میں سے بعض ایسے ہیں جو کان لگا کر سُنتے ہیں تمہاری باتیں لیکن ڈال رکھے ہیں ہم نے اُن کے دلوں پر پردے کہ (نہ) سمجھ سکیں وہ اس کو اور ان کے کانوں میں گرانی (ڈال دی ہے)۔ اور (اُن کی حالت یہ ہے) کہ اگر دیکھ لیں تمام نشانیاں تو بھی ایمان نہ لائیں اُن پر، ہیاں تک کہ جب آتے ہیں تمہارے پاس تو جھگڑتے ہیں تم سے اور کہتے ہیں وہ لوگ، جنہوں نے فیصلہ کرلیا ہے انکار کا، نہیں ہیں یہ باتیں مگر کہانیاں پہلے لوگوں کی۔

Fateh Muhammad Jalandhary

اور ان میں بعض ایسے ہیں کہ تمہاری (باتوں کی) طرف کان رکھتے ہیں۔ اور ہم نے ان کے دلوں پر تو پردے ڈال دیئے ہیں کہ ان کو سمجھ نہ سکیں اور کانوں میں ثقل پیدا کردیا ہے (کہ سن نہ سکیں) اور اگر یہ تمام نشانیاں بھی دیکھ لیں تب بھی ان پر ایمان نہ لائیں۔ یہاں تک کہ جب تمہارے پاس تم سے بحث کرنے کو آتے ہیں تو جو کافر ہیں کہتے ہیں یہ (قرآن) اور کچھ بھی نہیں صرف پہلے لوگوں کی کہانیاں ہیں

Mehmood Al Hassan

اور بعضے ان میں کان لگائے رہتے ہیں تیری طرف اور ہم نے ان کے دلوں پر ڈال رکھے ہیں پردے تاکہ اس کو نہ سمجھیں اور رکھ دیا انکےکانوں میں بوجھ اور اگر دیکھ لیں تمام نشانیاں تو بھی ایمان نہ لاویں ان پر یہاں تک کہ جب آتے ہیں تیرے پاس تجھ سےجھگڑنے کو تو کہتے

Abul Ala Maududi

ان میں سے بعض لوگ ایسے ہیں جو کان لگا کر تمہاری بات سنتے ہیں مگر حال یہ ہے کہ ہم نے اُن کے دلوں پر پردے ڈال رکھے ہیں جن کی وجہ سے وہ اس کو کچھ نہیں سمجھتے اور ان کے کانوں میں گرانی ڈال دی ہے (کہ سب کچھ سننے پر بھی کچھ نہیں سنتے) وہ خواہ کوئی نشانی دیکھ لیں، اس پر ایمان لا کر نہ دیں گے حد یہ ہے کہ جب وہ تمہارے پاس آ کر تم سے جھگڑتے ہیں تو ان میں سے جن لوگوں نے انکار کا فیصلہ کر لیا ہے وہ (ساری باتیں سننے کے بعد) یہی کہتے ہیں کہ یہ ایک داستان پارینہ کے سوا کچھ نہیں

Ahmed Ali

اور بعض ان میں سے تیری طرف کان لگائے رہتے ہیں اور ہم نے ان کے دلوں پر پردے ڈال رکھے ہیں جس کی وجہ سے وہ کچھ نہیں سمجھتے اور ان کے کانو ں میں گرانی ہے اور اگر یہ تمام نشانیاں بھی دیکھ لیں تو بھی ان پر ایمان نہ لادیں گے جب وہ تمہارے پاس آ کر تم سے جھگڑتے ہیں تو کافر کہتے ہیں کہ یہ تو پہلے لوگو ں کی کہانیاں ہی ہیں
