| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[19:88] | Waqaloo ittakhatha alrrahmanuwaladan
|  وقالوا اتخذ الرحمن ولدا
وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمَنُ وَلَدًا |
| Words | |وقالوا - And they say,| اتخذ - "Has taken| الرحمن - the Most Gracious| ولدا - a son."| |

| «አልረሕማንም ልጅን ያዘ (ወለደ)» አሉ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وقالوا } أي اليهود والنصارى ومن زعم أن الملائكة بنات الله { اتخذ الرحمن ولدا } قال تعالى لهم : |
| Nnan: "Isâa Uênin, aqcic". |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা বলেঃ দয়াময় আল্লাহ সন্তান গ্রহণ করেছেন। |
| Literal | And they said: "The merciful took/received a child (son)." |
| Yusuf Ali | They say: "(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten a son!" |
| Pickthal | And they say: The Beneficent hath taken unto Himself a son. |
| Arberry | And they say, 'The All-merciful has taken unto Himself a son. |
| Shakir | And they say: The Beneficent Allah has taken (to Himself) a son. |
| Sarwar | They have said that the Beneficent God has given birth to a son. |
| H/K/Saheeh | And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son." |
| Malik | Those who say: "The Compassionate (God) has begotten a son,"[88] |

| Qaribullah | And they say: 'The Merciful has taken a son. ' |
| George Sale | They say, the Merciful hath begotten issue. |

| Asad | As it is,'S some assert, "The Most Gracious has taken unto Himself a son"! |
