| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[18:61] | Falamma balagha majmaAAabaynihima nasiya hootahuma faittakhathasabeelahu fee albahri saraban
|  فلما بلغا مجمع بينهما نسيا حوتهما فاتخذ سبيله في البحر سربا
فَلَمَّا بَلَغَا مَجْمَعَ بَيْنِهِمَا نَسِيَا حُوتَهُمَا فَاتَّخَذَ سَبِيلَهُ فِي الْبَحْرِ سَرَبًا |
| Words | |فلما - But when| بلغا - they reached| مجمع - the junction| بينهما - between them,| نسيا - they forgot| حوتهما - their fish,| فاتخذ - and it took| سبيله - its way| في - into| البحر - the sea,| سربا - slipping away.| |

| የሁለቱን መገናኛ በደረሱም ጊዜ ዐሣቸውን ረሱ፡፡ (ዐሣው) መንገዱንም በባህሩ ውስጥ ቀዳዳ አድርጎ ያዘ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { فلما بلغا مجمع بينهما } بين البحرين { نسيا حوتهما } نسي يوشع حمله عند الرحيل ونسي موسى تذكيره { فاتخذ } الحوت { سبيله في البحر } أي جعله بجعل الله { سربا } أي مثل السرب، وهو الشق الطويل لا نفاذ له، وذلك أن الله تعالى أمسك عن الحوت جري الماء فانجاب عنه فبقي كالكوة لم يلتئم وجمد ما تحته منه . |
| Mi bbwven ar umlili nnsen, ppun aslem nnsen. Iu$al ar yill d ilelli. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অতঃপর যখন তাঁরা দুই সুমুদ্রের সঙ্গমস্থলে পৌছালেন, তখন তাঁরা নিজেদের মাছের কথা ভুলে গেলেন। অতঃপর মাছটি সমুদ্রে সুড়ঙ্গ পথ সৃষ্টি করে নেমে গেল। |
| Literal | So when they (B) reached (a) place of meeting (point of joint) between them (B) (the two seas/oceans/rivers), they (B) forgot their (B)'s fish/large fish/whale, so it took/received its path in the sea/ocean/river sneaking away (it escaped into the body of water). |
| Yusuf Ali | But when they reached the Junction, they forgot (about) their Fish, which took its course through the sea (straight) as in a tunnel. |
