بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [18:5] | Ma lahum bihi min AAilmin walali-aba-ihim kaburat kalimatan takhruju min afwahihimin yaqooloona illa kathiban
| ما لهم به من علم ولا لآبائهم كبرت كلمة تخرج من أفواههم إن يقولون إلا كذبا مَّا لَهُم بِهِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ وَلَا لِآبَائِهِمْ كَبُرَتْ كَلِمَةً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ إِن يَقُولُونَ إِلَّا كَذِبًا |
Words | |ما - Not| لهم - they have| به - about it| من - any| علم - knowledge| ولا - and not| لآبائهم - their forefathers.| كبرت - Grave (is)| كلمة - the word| تخرج - (that) comes out| من - of| أفواههم - their mouths.| إن - Not| يقولون - they say| إلا - except| كذبا - a lie.| |

| ለእነሱም ለአባቶቻቸውም በርሱ ምንም እውቀት የላቸውም፡፡ ከአፎቻቸው የምትወጣውን ቃል ምን አከበዳት! ውሸትን እንጂ አይናገሩም፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { ما لهم به } بهذا القول { من علم ولا لآبائهم } من قبلهم القائلين له { كبرت } عظمت { كلمة تخرج من أفواههم } كلمة تمييز مفسر للضمير المبهم والمخصوص بالذم محذوف أي مقالتهم المذكورة { إن } ما { يقولون } في ذلك { إلا } مقولا { كذبا } . |
| Ur illi wayen ssnen fellas; akken, imezwura nnsen. D awal uqbiê id iff$en seg imawen nnsen. D tikerkas kan ay ssawalen. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | এ সম্পর্কে তাদের কোন জ্ঞান নেই এবং তাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরও নেই। কত কঠিন তাদের মুখের কথা। তারা যা বলে তা তো সবই মিথ্যা। |
Literal | Nothing from knowledge (is) to them with it (they have no knowledge of it) and nor to their fathers, a word/speech/sermon became big (that) emerges from their mouths, that they say except lies/denials/falsifications (about God). |
Yusuf Ali | No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. It is a grievous thing that issues from their mouths as a saying what they say is nothing but falsehood! |
Pickthal | (A thing) whereof they have no knowledge, nor (had) their fathers, Dreadful is the word that cometh out of their mouths. They speak naught but a lie. |
Arberry | they have no knowledge of it, they nor their fathers; a monstrous word it is, issuing out of their mouths; they say nothing but a lie. |
