بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [18:12] | Thumma baAAathnahum linaAAlama ayyualhizbayni ahsa lima labithoo amadan
| ثم بعثناهم لنعلم أي الحزبين أحصى لما لبثوا أمدا ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَاهُمْ لِنَعْلَمَ أَيُّ الْحِزْبَيْنِ أَحْصَى لِمَا لَبِثُوا أَمَدًا |
Words | |ثم - Then| بعثناهم - We raised them up| لنعلم - that We make evident| أي - which| الحزبين - (of) the two parties| أحصى - best calculated| لما - for what| لبثوا - (they had) remained| أمدا - (in) time.| |

| ከዚያም ከሁለቱ ክፍሎች ለቆዩት ጊዜ ልክ ያረጋገጠው ማንኛው መሆኑን ልናውቅ አስነሳናቸው፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { ثم بعثناهم } أيقظناهم { لنعلم } علم مشاهدة { أي الحزبين } الفريقين المختلفين في مدة لبثهم { أحصى } أفعل بمعنى أضبط { لما لبثوا } لبثهم متعلق بما بعده { أمدا } غاية . |

মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে পুনরত্থিত করি, একথা জানার জন্যে যে, দুই দলের মধ্যে কোন দল তাদের অবস্থানকাল সম্পর্কে অধিক নির্ণয় করতে পারে। |
Literal | Then We sent/resurrected/revived them to know which (of) the two groups/parties (is) more counting/controlling to what time they remained/waited . |
Yusuf Ali | Then We roused them, in order to test which of the two parties was best at calculating the term of years they had tarried! |
