| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[16:93] | Walaw shaa Allahu lajaAAalakumommatan wahidatan walakin yudillu man yashaowayahdee man yashao walatus-alunna AAamma kuntumtaAAmaloona
|  ولو شاء الله لجعلكم أمة واحدة ولكن يضل من يشاء ويهدي من يشاء ولتسألن عما كنتم تعملون
وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَلكِن يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي مَن يَشَاءُ وَلَتُسْأَلُنَّ عَمَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ |
| Words | |ولو - And if| شاء - Allah (had) willed| الله - Allah (had) willed| لجعلكم - surely He (could) have made you| أمة - a nation| واحدة - one,| ولكن - but| يضل - He lets go astray| من - whom| يشاء - He wills| ويهدي - and guides| من - whom| يشاء - He wills.| ولتسألن - And surely you will be questioned| عما - about what| كنتم - you used (to)| تعملون - do.| |

| አላህም በሻ ኖሮ አንዲት ሕዝብ ባደረጋችሁ ነበር፡፡ ግን የሚሻውን ሰው ያጠማል፡፡ የሚሻውንም ሰው ያቀናል፡፡ ትሠሩት ከነበራችሁትም ሁሉ በእርግጥ ትጠየቃላችሁ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ولو شاء الله لجعلكم أمة واحدة } أهل دين واحد { ولكن يضل من يشاء ويهدي من يشاء ولتسألُن } يوم القيامة سؤال تبكيت { عما كنتم تعملون } لتجازوا عليه . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে তোমাদের সবাইকে এক জাতি করে দিতে পারতেন, কিন্তু তিনি যাকে ইচ্ছা বিপথগামী করেন এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা পথ প্রদর্শন করেন। তোমরা যা কর সে বিষয়ে অবশ্যই জিজ্ঞাসিত হবে। |
| Literal | And if God wanted/willed He would have made/created you one nation/generation , and but God misguides whom He wills/wants, and He guides whom He wills/wants, and you will be asked/questioned (E) about what you were making/doing. |
