1 [16:59] | Yatawara mina alqawmi minsoo-i ma bushshira bihi ayumsikuhu AAala hoonin amyadussuhu fee altturabi ala saa mayahkumoona
| يتوارى من القوم من سوء ما بشر به أيمسكه على هون أم يدسه في التراب ألا ساء ما يحكمون يَتَوَارَى مِنَ الْقَوْمِ مِن سُوءِ مَا بُشِّرَ بِهِ أَيُمْسِكُهُ عَلَى هُونٍ أَمْ يَدُسُّهُ فِي التُّرَابِ أَلاَ سَاءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ |

| በእርሱ ከተበሰረበት ነገር መጥፎነት በውርደት ላይ ኾኖ ይያዘውን ወይስ በዐፈር ውስጥ ይደብቀውን (በማለት እያምታታ) ከሰዎች ይደበቃል፡፡ ንቁ! የሚፈርዱት (ፍርድ) ምንኛ ከፋ! |
آل الجلالين | { يتوارى } يختفي { من القوم } أي قومه { من سوء ما بشر به } خوفاً من التعيير متردداً فيما يفعل به { أيمسكه } يتركه بلا قتل { على هون } هوان وذل { أم يدسه في التراب } بأن يئده { ألا ساء } بئس { ما يحكمون } حكمهم هذا حيث نسبوا لخالقهم البنات اللاتي هن عندهم بهذا المحل . |
| Ad iveôôef iman is, si medden, ilmend n yir usali it id ibbwven. A p ijmaâ, tamara, ne$ a p irr seddaw wakal? Ay dir wamek debbiôen! |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তাকে শোনানো সুসংবাদের দুঃখে সে লোকদের কাছ থেকে মুখ লুকিয়ে থাকে। সে ভাবে, অপমান সহ্য করে তাকে থাকতে দেবে, না তাকে মাটির নীচে পুতে ফেলবে। শুনে রাখ, তাদের ফয়সালা খুবই নিকৃষ্ট। |
Literal | He hides/conceals from the nation from (the) bad/evil/harm (of) what he was announced good news to with it, does he hold/grasp/cling to it on disgrace/weakness , or he buries/hides/conceals it in the dust/earth? Is (it) not bad/evil what they judge/rule? |
Yusuf Ali | With shame does he hide himself from his people, because of the bad news he has had! Shall he retain it on (sufferance and) contempt, or bury it in the dust? Ah! what an evil (choice) they decide on? |
Pickthal | He hideth himself from the folk because of the evil of that whereof he hath had tidings, (asking himself): Shall he keep it in contempt, or bury it beneath the dust. Verily evil is their judgment. |
