| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[16:34] | Faasabahum sayyi-atu maAAamiloo wahaqa bihim ma kanoo bihiyastahzi-oona
|  فأصابهم سيئات ما عملوا وحاق بهم ما كانوا به يستهزئون
فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا عَمِلُواْ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ |
| Words | |فأصابهم - Then struck them| سيئات - (the) evil (results)| ما - (of) what| عملوا - they did,| وحاق - and surrounded| بهم - them| ما - what| كانوا - they used (to)| به - [of it]| يستهزئون - mock.| |

| የሠሩዋቸውም ኀጢአቶች (ቅጣት) አገኛቸው፡፡ በእርሱም ይሳለቁበት የነበሩት ሁሉ በነሱ ላይ ወረደባቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | فأصابهم سيئات ما عملوا } أي جزاءها { وحاق } نزل { بهم ما كانوا به يستهزءُون } أي العذاب . |
| D tucmitin xeddmen, i ten iwwten. Izzi yasen wayen i$ef pmmaâliken. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | সুতরাং তাদের মন্দ কাজের শাস্তি তাদেরই মাথায় আপতিত হয়েছে এবং তারা যে ঠাট্টা বিদ্রুপ করত, তাই উল্টে তাদের উপর পড়েছে। |
| Literal | So sins/crimes (of) what they made/did struck/hit them , and what they were with it mocking/making fun (of) surrounded/afflicted with them. |
| Yusuf Ali | But the evil results of their deeds overtook them, and that very (Wrath) at which they had scoffed hemmed them in. |
| Pickthal | So that the evils of what they did smote them, and that which they used to mock surrounded them. |
