[16:107] | Thalika bi-annahumu istahabbooalhayata alddunya AAala al-akhiratiwaanna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alkafireena
|  ذلك بأنهم استحبوا الحياة الدنيا على الآخرة وأن الله لا يهدي القوم الكافرين
ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ اسْتَحَبُّواْ الْحَيَاةَ الْدُّنْيَا عَلَى الْآخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَ |
| Words | |ذلك - That (is)| بأنهم - because| استحبوا - they preferred| الحياة - the life| الدنيا - (of) the world| على - over| الآخرة - the Hereafter| وأن - and that| الله - Allah| لا - (does) not| يهدي - guide| القوم - the people| الكافرين - the disbelievers.| |

| ይህ (ቅጣት) እነሱ ቅርቢቱን ሕይወት ከመጨረሻይቱ በመምረጣቸው ምክንያትና አላህም ከሓዲዎችን ሕዝቦች የማያቀና በመኾኑ ነው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ذلك } الوعيد لهم { بأنهم استحبوا الحياة الدنيا } اختاروها { على الآخرة وأن الله لا يهدي القوم الكافرين } . |
| Ayagi, acku smenyafen tameddurt n ddunit i laxeôt. Ih, Öebbi ur Inehhu agdud ijehliyen. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | এটা এ জন্যে যে, তারা পার্থিব জীবনকে পরকালের চাইতে প্রিয় মনে করেছে এবং আল্লাহ অবিশ্বাসীদেরকে পথ প্রদর্শন করেন না। |
| Literal | That (is) because they (E), they loved/liked the life the present world/worldly life more/over the end (other life), and that God does not guide the nation, the disbelieving. |
| Yusuf Ali | This because they love the life of this world better than the Hereafter: and Allah will not guide those who reject Faith. |
| Pickthal | That is because they have chosen the life of the world rather than the Hereafter, and because Allah guideth not the disbelieving folk. |
