| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [15:79] | Faintaqamna minhum wa-innahumalabi-imamin mubeenin
| فانتقمنا منهم وإنهما لبإمام مبين فَانتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامٍ مُّبِينٍ |
| Words | |فانتقمنا - So We took retribution| منهم - from them,| وإنهما - and indeed, they both| لبإمام - (were) on a highway| مبين - clear.| |

| ከነሱም ተበቀልን ሁለቱም (የሉጥና የአይከት ሕዝቦች ከተሞች) በእርግጥ በግልጽ መንገድ ላይ ናቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { فانتقمنا منهم } بأن أهلكناهم بشدة الحر { وإنهما } أي قرى قوم لوط والأيكة { لبإمام } طريق { مبين } واضح أفلا تعتبرون بهم يا أهل مكة . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অতঃপর আমি তাদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিশোধ নিয়েছি। উভয় বস্তি প্রকাশ্য রাস্তার উপর অবস্থিত। |
| Literal | So We revenged from them that they (B) truly (the two nations) are with a clear/evident leader/example (E) . |
| Yusuf Ali | So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see. |
| Pickthal | So we took vengeance on them; and lo! they both are on a high-road plain to see. |
| Arberry | and We took vengeance on them. The two of them were upon a roadway manifest. |
