| 1 [5:70] | Laqad akhathna meethaqabanee isra-eela waarsalna ilayhim rusulan kullamajaahum rasoolun bima la tahwaanfusuhum fareeqan kaththaboo wafareeqan yaqtuloona |  لقد أخذنا ميثاق بني إسرائيل وأرسلنا إليهم رسلا كلما جاءهم رسول بما لا تهوى أنفسهم فريقا كذبوا وفريقا يقتلونلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَاقَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَأَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ رُسُلاً كُلَّمَا جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ بِمَا لاَ تَهْوَى أَنْفُسُهُمْ فَرِيقًا كَذَّبُواْ وَفَرِيقًا يَقْتُلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |لقد - Certainly| أخذنا - We took| ميثاق - a Covenant| بني - (from the) Children| إسرائيل - (of) Israel| وأرسلنا - and We sent| إليهم - to them| رسلا - Messengers.| كلما - Whenever| جاءهم - came to them| رسول - any Messenger| بما - with what| لا - not| تهوى - desired| أنفسهم - their souls,| فريقا - a group| كذبوا - they denied| وفريقا - and a group| يقتلون - they kill.| | ||||||
| 2 [7:141] | Wa-ith anjaynakum min alifirAAawna yasoomoonakum soo-a alAAathabi yuqattiloona abnaakumwayastahyoona nisaakum wafee thalikum balaonmin rabbikum AAatheemun | وإذ أنجيناكم من آل فرعون يسومونكم سوء العذاب يقتلون أبناءكم ويستحيون نساءكم وفي ذلكم بلاء من ربكم عظيم وَإِذْ أَنْجَيْنَاكُم مِّنْ آلِ فِرْعَونَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ يُقَتِّلُونَ أَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَاءَكُمْ وَفِي ذَلِكُم بَلاَءٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| أنجيناكم - We saved you| من - from| آل - (the) people| فرعون - (of) Firaun| يسومونكم - who were afflicting you| سوء - (with) worst| العذاب - (of) torment,| يقتلون - they were killing| أبناءكم - your sons| ويستحيون - and letting live| نساءكم - your women.| وفي - And in| ذلكم - that| بلاء - (was) a trial| من - from| ربكم - your Lord| عظيم - great.| | ||||||
| 3 [25:68] | Waallatheena layadAAoona maAAa Allahi ilahan akharawala yaqtuloona alnnafsa allatee harrama Allahuilla bialhaqqi wala yaznoona wamanyafAAal thalika yalqa athaman | والذين لا يدعون مع الله إلها آخر ولا يقتلون النفس التي حرم الله إلا بالحق ولا يزنون ومن يفعل ذلك يلق أثاما وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًا | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those who| لا - (do) not| يدعون - invoke| مع - with| الله - Allah| إلها - god| آخر - another,| ولا - and (do) not| يقتلون - [they] kill| النفس - the soul| التي - which| حرم - Allah has forbidden| الله - Allah has forbidden| إلا - except| بالحق - by right| ولا - and (do) not| يزنون - commit unlawful sexual intercourse.| ومن - And whoever| يفعل - does| ذلك - that| يلق - will meet| أثاما - a penalty.| | ||||||
| 4 [26:14] | Walahum AAalayya thanbun faakhafuan yaqtulooni | ولهم علي ذنب فأخاف أن يقتلون وَلَهُمْ عَلَيَّ ذَنبٌ فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ | |||||
| Words | |ولهم - And they have| علي - against me| ذنب - a crime,| فأخاف - so I fear| أن - that| يقتلون - they will kill me."| | ||||||
| 5 [28:33] | Qala rabbi innee qataltu minhumnafsan faakhafu an yaqtulooni | قال رب إني قتلت منهم نفسا فأخاف أن يقتلون قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي قَتَلْتُ مِنْهُمْ نَفْسًا فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| رب - "My Lord!| إني - Indeed,| قتلت - I killed| منهم - of them| نفسا - a man,| فأخاف - and I fear| أن - that| يقتلون - they will kill me.| | ||||||
