| 1 [3:129] | Walillahi ma fee alssamawatiwama fee al-ardi yaghfiru liman yashaowayuAAaththibu man yashao waAllahughafoorun raheemun |  ولله ما في السماوات وما في الأرض يغفر لمن يشاء ويعذب من يشاء والله غفور رحيموَلِلّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَاءُ وَاللّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولله - And to Allah (belongs)| ما - what| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| وما - and what| في - (is) in| الأرض - the earth,| يغفر - He forgives| لمن - [for] whom| يشاء - He wills| ويعذب - and punishes| من - whom| يشاء - He wills.| والله - And Allah| غفور - (is) Oft-Forgiving,| رحيم - Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 2 [3:135] | Waallatheena ithafaAAaloo fahishatan aw thalamoo anfusahum thakarooAllaha faistaghfaroo lithunoobihim wamanyaghfiru alththunooba illa Allahuwalam yusirroo AAala ma faAAaloo wahumyaAAlamoona | والذين إذا فعلوا فاحشة أو ظلموا أنفسهم ذكروا الله فاستغفروا لذنوبهم ومن يغفر الذنوب إلا الله ولم يصروا على ما فعلوا وهم يعلمون وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُواْ فَاحِشَةً أَوْ ظَلَمُواْ أَنْفُسَهُمْ ذَكَرُواْ اللّهَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُواْ لِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَن يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ اللّهُ وَلَمْ يُصِرُّواْ عَلَى مَا فَعَلُواْ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those| إذا - when| فعلوا - they did| فاحشة - immorality| أو - or| ظلموا - wronged| أنفسهم - themselves -| ذكروا - they remember| الله - Allah| فاستغفروا - then ask forgiveness| لذنوبهم - for their sins -| ومن - and who| يغفر - (can) forgive| الذنوب - the sins| إلا - except| الله - Allah?| ولم - And not| يصروا - they persist| على - on| ما - what| فعلوا - they did| وهم - while they| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 3 [4:48] | Inna Allaha la yaghfiru anyushraka bihi wayaghfiru ma doona thalika limanyashao waman yushrik biAllahi faqadi iftaraithman AAatheeman | إن الله لا يغفر أن يشرك به ويغفر ما دون ذلك لمن يشاء ومن يشرك بالله فقد افترى إثما عظيما إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَلِكَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِاللّهِ فَقَدِ افْتَرَى إِثْمًا عَظِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| لا - (does) not| يغفر - forgive| أن - that| يشرك - partners be associated| به - with Him,| ويغفر - but He forgives| ما - from| دون - other than| ذلك - that| لمن - for whom| يشاء - He wills.| ومن - And whoever| يشرك - associates partners| بالله - with Allah,| فقد - then surely| افترى - he has fabricated| إثما - a sin -| عظيما - tremendous.| | ||||||
| 4 [4:116] | Inna Allaha la yaghfiru anyushraka bihi wayaghfiru ma doona thalika limanyashao waman yushrik biAllahi faqad dalladalalan baAAeedan | إن الله لا يغفر أن يشرك به ويغفر ما دون ذلك لمن يشاء ومن يشرك بالله فقد ضل ضلالا بعيدا إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَلِكَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِاللّهِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلاَلاً بَعِيدًا | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| لا - does not| يغفر - forgive| أن - that| يشرك - partners be associated| به - with Him,| ويغفر - but He forgives| ما - [what]| دون - other than| ذلك - that| لمن - for whom| يشاء - He wills.| ومن - And whoever| يشرك - associates partners| بالله - with Allah| فقد - then surely| ضل - he lost (the) way,| ضلالا - straying| بعيدا - far away.| | ||||||
| 5 [5:18] | Waqalati alyahoodu waalnnasaranahnu abnao Allahi waahibbaohuqul falima yuAAaththibukum bithunoobikum bal antumbasharun mimman khalaqa yaghfiru liman yashao wayuAAaththibuman yashao walillahi mulku alssamawatiwaal-ardi wama baynahuma wa-ilayhialmaseeru | وقالت اليهود والنصارى نحن أبناء الله وأحباؤه قل فلم يعذبكم بذنوبكم بل أنتم بشر ممن خلق يغفر لمن يشاء ويعذب من يشاء ولله ملك السماوات والأرض وما بينهما وإليه المصير وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى نَحْنُ أَبْنَاءُ اللّهِ وَأَحِبَّاؤُهُ قُلْ فَلِمَ يُعَذِّبُكُم بِذُنُوبِكُم بَلْ أَنتُم بَشَرٌ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقَ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَاءُ وَلِلّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَإِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ | |||||
| Words | |وقالت - And said,| اليهود - the Jews| والنصارى - and the Christians| نحن - "We (are)| أبناء - (the) children| الله - (of) Allah| وأحباؤه - and His beloved."| قل - Say,| فلم - "Then why| يعذبكم - (does He) punish you| بذنوبكم - for your sins?"| بل - Nay,| أنتم - you (are)| بشر - human beings| ممن - from among (those)| خلق - He created.| يغفر - He forgives| لمن - [for] whom| يشاء - He wills| ويعذب - and punishes| من - whom| يشاء - He wills.| ولله - And for Allah| ملك - (is the) dominion| السماوات - (of) the heavens| والأرض - and the earth| وما - and whatever| بينهما - (is) between them,| وإليه - and to Him| المصير - (is) the final return.| | ||||||
| 6 [8:38] | Qul lillatheena kafaroo in yantahooyughfar lahum ma qad salafa wa-in yaAAoodoo faqad madatsunnatu al-awwaleena | قل للذين كفروا إن ينتهوا يغفر لهم ما قد سلف وإن يعودوا فقد مضت سنت الأولين قُل لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ إِن يَنتَهُواْ يُغْفَرْ لَهُم مَّا قَدْ سَلَفَ وَإِنْ يَعُودُواْ فَقَدْ مَضَتْ سُنَّتُ الْأَوَّلِينِ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say| للذين - to those who| كفروا - disbelieve| إن - if| ينتهوا - they cease| يغفر - will be forgiven| لهم - for them| ما - what| قد - [verily]| سلف - (is) past.| وإن - But if| يعودوا - they return| فقد - then verily| مضت - preceded| سنت - (the) practice| الأولين - (of) the former (people).| | ||||||
| 7 [9:80] | Istaghfir lahum aw la tastaghfirlahum in tastaghfir lahum sabAAeena marratan falan yaghfira Allahulahum thalika bi-annahum kafaroo biAllahiwarasoolihi waAllahu la yahdee alqawma alfasiqeena | استغفر لهم أو لا تستغفر لهم إن تستغفر لهم سبعين مرة فلن يغفر الله لهم ذلك بأنهم كفروا بالله ورسوله والله لا يهدي القوم الفاسقين اسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ أَوْ لاَ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ إِن تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً فَلَن يَغْفِرَ اللّهُ لَهُمْ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُواْ بِاللّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَاللّهُ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |استغفر - Ask forgiveness| لهم - for them| أو - or| لا - (do) not| تستغفر - ask forgiveness| لهم - for them.| إن - If| تستغفر - you ask forgiveness| لهم - for them| سبعين - seventy| مرة - times,| فلن - never| يغفر - will Allah forgive| الله - will Allah forgive| لهم - [for] them.| ذلك - That| بأنهم - (is) because they| كفروا - disbelieved| بالله - in Allah| ورسوله - and His Messenger,| والله - and Allah| لا - (does) not| يهدي - guide| القوم - the people,| الفاسقين - the defiantly disobedient.| | ||||||
| 8 [12:92] | Qala la tathreeba AAalaykumualyawma yaghfiru Allahu lakum wahuwa arhamu alrrahimeena | قال لا تثريب عليكم اليوم يغفر الله لكم وهو أرحم الراحمين قَالَ لاَ تَثْرِيبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ يَغْفِرُ اللّهُ لَكُمْ وَهُوَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| لا - "No| تثريب - blame| عليكم - upon you| اليوم - today.| يغفر - Allah will forgive| الله - Allah will forgive| لكم - you,| وهو - and He| أرحم - (is) the Most Merciful| الراحمين - (of) those who show mercy.| | ||||||
| 9 [24:22] | Wala ya/tali oloo alfadliminkum waalssaAAati an yu/too olee alqurba waalmasakeenawaalmuhajireena fee sabeeli AllahiwalyaAAfoo walyasfahoo ala tuhibboonaan yaghfira Allahu lakum waAllahu ghafoorunraheemun | ولا يأتل أولو الفضل منكم والسعة أن يؤتوا أولي القربى والمساكين والمهاجرين في سبيل الله وليعفوا وليصفحوا ألا تحبون أن يغفر الله لكم والله غفور رحيم وَلَا يَأْتَلِ أُوْلُوا الْفَضْلِ مِنكُمْ وَالسَّعَةِ أَن يُؤْتُوا أُوْلِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْمَسَاكِينَ وَالْمُهَاجِرِينَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلْيَعْفُوا وَلْيَصْفَحُوا أَلَا تُحِبُّونَ أَن يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And not| يأتل - let swear| أولو - those of virtue| الفضل - those of virtue| منكم - among you| والسعة - and the amplitude of means| أن - that| يؤتوا - they give| أولي - (to) the near of kin,| القربى - (to) the near of kin,| والمساكين - and the needy| والمهاجرين - and the emigrants| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah.| وليعفوا - And let them pardon| وليصفحوا - and let them overlook.| ألا - (Do) not| تحبون - you like| أن - that| يغفر - Allah should forgive| الله - Allah should forgive| لكم - you?| والله - And Allah| غفور - (is) Oft-Forgiving,| رحيم - Most Merciful.| | ||||||
| 10 [26:51] | Inna natmaAAu an yaghfira lanarabbuna khatayana an kunnaawwala almu/mineena | إنا نطمع أن يغفر لنا ربنا خطايانا أن كنا أول المؤمنين إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَايَانَا أَن كُنَّا أَوَّلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |إنا - Indeed, we| نطمع - hope| أن - that| يغفر - will forgive| لنا - us| ربنا - our Lord| خطايانا - our sins,| أن - because| كنا - we are| أول - (the) first| المؤمنين - (of) the believers."| | ||||||
| 11 [26:82] | Waallathee atmaAAu anyaghfira lee khatee-atee yawma alddeeni | والذي أطمع أن يغفر لي خطيئتي يوم الدين وَالَّذِي أَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لِي خَطِيئَتِي يَوْمَ الدِّينِ | |||||

| 12 [39:53] | Qul ya AAibadiya allatheenaasrafoo AAala anfusihim la taqnatoo min rahmatiAllahi inna Allaha yaghfiru alththunoobajameeAAan innahu huwa alghafooru alrraheemu | قل يا عبادي الذين أسرفوا على أنفسهم لا تقنطوا من رحمة الله إن الله يغفر الذنوب جميعا إنه هو الغفور الرحيم قُلْ يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا مِن رَّحْمَةِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ | |||||

| 13 [46:31] | Ya qawmana ajeeboo daAAiyaAllahi waaminoo bihi yaghfir lakum min thunoobikumwayujirkum min AAathabin aleemin | يا قومنا أجيبوا داعي الله وآمنوا به يغفر لكم من ذنوبكم ويجركم من عذاب أليم يَا قَوْمَنَا أَجِيبُوا دَاعِيَ اللَّهِ وَآمِنُوا بِهِ يَغْفِرْ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُجِرْكُم مِّنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| قومنا - O our people!| أجيبوا - Respond| داعي - (to the) caller| الله - (of) Allah| وآمنوا - and believe| به - in him.| يغفر - He will forgive| لكم - for you| من - of| ذنوبكم - your sins| ويجركم - and will protect you| من - from| عذاب - a punishment| أليم - painful.| | ||||||
| 14 [47:34] | Inna allatheena kafaroo wasaddooAAan sabeeli Allahi thumma matoo wahum kuffarunfalan yaghfira Allahu lahum | إن الذين كفروا وصدوا عن سبيل الله ثم ماتوا وهم كفار فلن يغفر الله لهم إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوا عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ مَاتُوا وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ فَلَن يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ | |||||

| 16 [61:12] | Yaghfir lakum thunoobakumwayudkhilkum jannatin tajree min tahtihaal-anharu wamasakina tayyibatan fee jannatiAAadnin thalika alfawzu alAAatheemu | يغفر لكم ذنوبكم ويدخلكم جنات تجري من تحتها الأنهار ومساكن طيبة في جنات عدن ذلك الفوز العظيم يَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَيُدْخِلْكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ وَمَسَاكِنَ طَيِّبَةً فِي جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ ذَلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ | |||||

| 17 [63:6] | Sawaon AAalayhim astaghfarta lahum amlam tastaghfir lahum lan yaghfira Allahu lahum inna Allahala yahdee alqawma alfasiqeena | سواء عليهم أستغفرت لهم أم لم تستغفر لهم لن يغفر الله لهم إن الله لا يهدي القوم الفاسقين سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَسْتَغْفَرْتَ لَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ لَن يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَ | |||||

| 18 [71:4] | Yaghfir lakum min thunoobikumwayu-akhkhirkum ila ajalin musamman inna ajala Allahiitha jaa la yu-akhkharu law kuntumtaAAlamoona | يغفر لكم من ذنوبكم ويؤخركم إلى أجل مسمى إن أجل الله إذا جاء لا يؤخر لو كنتم تعلمون يَغْفِرْ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى إِنَّ أَجَلَ اللَّهِ إِذَا جَاءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُ لَوْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
