| 1 [2:273] | Lilfuqara-i allatheena ohsiroofee sabeeli Allahi la yastateeAAoona darbanfee al-ardi yahsabuhumu aljahilu aghniyaamina alttaAAaffufi taAArifuhum biseemahum layas-aloona alnnasa ilhafan wamatunfiqoo min khayrin fa-inna Allaha bihi AAaleemun |  للفقراء الذين أحصروا في سبيل الله لا يستطيعون ضربا في الأرض يحسبهم الجاهل أغنياء من التعفف تعرفهم بسيماهم لا يسألون الناس إلحافا وما تنفقوا من خير فإن الله به عليملِلْفُقَرَاءِ الَّذِينَ أُحصِرُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ ضَرْبًا فِي الأَرْضِ يَحْسَبُهُمُ الْجَاهِلُ أَغْنِيَاءَ مِنَ التَّعَفُّفِ تَعْرِفُهُم بِسِيمَاهُمْ لاَ يَسْأَلُونَ النَّاسَ إِلْحَافًا وَمَا تُنفِقُواْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ اللّهَ بِهِ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |للفقراء - For the poor,| الذين - those who| أحصروا - are wrapped up| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah,| لا - not| يستطيعون - they are able| ضربا - (to) move about| في - in| الأرض - the earth.| يحسبهم - Think (about) them,| الجاهل - the ignorant one,| أغنياء - (that they are) self-sufficient| من - (because) of| التعفف - (their) restraint,| تعرفهم - you recognize them| بسيماهم - by their mark.| لا - Not| يسألون - (do) they ask| الناس - the people| إلحافا - with importunity.| وما - And whatever| تنفقوا - you spend| من - of| خير - good,| فإن - then indeed,| الله - Allah| به - of it| عليم - (is) All-Knower.| | ||||||
| 2 [21:23] | La yus-alu AAamma yafAAaluwahum yus-aloona | لا يسأل عما يفعل وهم يسألون لَا يُسْأَلُ عَمَّا يَفْعَلُ وَهُمْ يُسْأَلُونَ | |||||

| 3 [33:20] | Yahsaboona al-ahzabalam yathhaboo wa-in ya/ti al-ahzabu yawaddoolaw annahum badoona fee al-aAArabi yas-aloona AAananba-ikum walaw kanoo feekum ma qatalooilla qaleelan | يحسبون الأحزاب لم يذهبوا وإن يأت الأحزاب يودوا لو أنهم بادون في الأعراب يسألون عن أنبائكم ولو كانوا فيكم ما قاتلوا إلا قليلا يَحْسَبُونَ الْأَحْزَابَ لَمْ يَذْهَبُوا وَإِن يَأْتِ الْأَحْزَابُ يَوَدُّوا لَوْ أَنَّهُم بَادُونَ فِي الْأَعْرَابِ يَسْأَلُونَ عَنْ أَنبَائِكُمْ وَلَوْ كَانُوا فِيكُم مَّا قَاتَلُوا إِلَّا قَلِيلًا | |||||
| Words | |يحسبون - They think| الأحزاب - the confederates| لم - (have) not| يذهبوا - withdrawn.| وإن - And if| يأت - (should) come| الأحزاب - the confederates| يودوا - they would wish| لو - if| أنهم - that they (were)| بادون - living in (the) desert| في - among| الأعراب - the Bedouins,| يسألون - asking| عن - about| أنبائكم - your news.| ولو - And if| كانوا - they were| فيكم - among you| ما - not| قاتلوا - they would fight| إلا - except| قليلا - a little.| | ||||||
