| 1 [2:221] | Wala tankihoo almushrikatihatta yu/minna walaamatun mu/minatun khayrun minmushrikatin walaw aAAjabatkum wala tunkihooalmushrikeena hatta yu/minoo walaAAabdun mu/minunkhayrun min mushrikin walaw aAAjabakum ola-ika yadAAoonaila alnnari waAllahu yadAAooila aljannati waalmaghfirati bi-ithnihiwayubayyinu ayatihi lilnnasilaAAallahum yatathakkaroona |  ولا تنكحوا المشركات حتى يؤمن ولأمة مؤمنة خير من مشركة ولو أعجبتكم ولا تنكحوا المشركين حتى يؤمنوا ولعبد مؤمن خير من مشرك ولو أعجبكم أولئك يدعون إلى النار والله يدعو إلى الجنة والمغفرة بإذنه ويبين آياته للناس لعلهم يتذكرونوَلاَ تَنكِحُواْ الْمُشْرِكَاتِ حَتَّى يُؤْمِنَّ وَلَأَمَةٌ مُّؤْمِنَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِّن مُّشْرِكَةٍ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ وَلاَ تُنكِحُواْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ حَتَّى يُؤْمِنُواْ وَلَعَبْدٌ مُّؤْمِنٌ خَيْرٌ مِّن مُّشْرِكٍ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكُمْ أُوْلَـئِكَ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى النَّارِ وَاللّهُ يَدْعُوَ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَالْمَغْفِرَةِ بِإِذْنِهِ وَيُبَيِّنُ آيَاتِهِ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تنكحوا - [you] marry| المشركات - [the] polytheistic women| حتى - until| يؤمن - they believe.| ولأمة - And a bondwoman| مؤمنة - (who is) believing| خير - (is) better| من - than| مشركة - a polytheistic woman| ولو - [and] even if| أعجبتكم - she pleases you.| ولا - And (do) not| تنكحوا - give in marriage (your women)| المشركين - (to) [the] polytheistic men| حتى - until| يؤمنوا - they believe,| ولعبد - and a bondman| مؤمن - (who is) believing| خير - (is) better| من - than| مشرك - a polytheistic man| ولو - [and] even if| أعجبكم - he pleases you.| أولئك - [Those]| يدعون - they invite| إلى - to| النار - the Fire,| والله - and Allah| يدعو - invites| إلى - to| الجنة - Paradise| والمغفرة - and [the] forgiveness| بإذنه - by His permission.| ويبين - And He makes clear| آياته - His Verses| للناس - for the people| لعلهم - so that they may| يتذكرون - take heed.| | ||||||
| 2 [3:23] | Alam tara ila allatheena ootoonaseeban mina alkitabi yudAAawna ila kitabiAllahi liyahkuma baynahum thumma yatawallafareequn minhum wahum muAAridoona | ألم تر إلى الذين أوتوا نصيبا من الكتاب يدعون إلى كتاب الله ليحكم بينهم ثم يتولى فريق منهم وهم معرضون أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ أُوْتُواْ نَصِيبًا مِّنَ الْكِتَابِ يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى كِتَابِ اللّهِ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّى فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُمْ وَهُم مُّعْرِضُونَ | |||||

| 3 [3:104] | Waltakun minkum ommatun yadAAoona ilaalkhayri waya/muroona bialmaAAroofi wayanhawna AAanialmunkari waola-ika humu almuflihoona | ولتكن منكم أمة يدعون إلى الخير ويأمرون بالمعروف وينهون عن المنكر وأولئك هم المفلحون وَلْتَكُن مِّنكُمْ أُمَّةٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ وَأُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولتكن - And let there be| منكم - among you| أمة - [a] people| يدعون - inviting| إلى - to| الخير - the good| ويأمرون - [and] enjoining| بالمعروف - the right,| وينهون - and forbidding| عن - from| المنكر - the wrong,| وأولئك - and those -| هم - they| المفلحون - (are) the successful ones.| | ||||||
| 4 [4:117] | In yadAAoona min doonihi illa inathanwa-in yadAAoona illa shaytanan mareedan | إن يدعون من دونه إلا إناثا وإن يدعون إلا شيطانا مريدا إِن يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ إِلاَّ إِنَاثًا وَإِن يَدْعُونَ إِلاَّ شَيْطَانًا مَّرِيدًا | |||||

| 5 [6:52] | Wala tatrudi allatheenayadAAoona rabbahum bialghadati waalAAashiyyiyureedoona wajhahu ma AAalayka min hisabihimmin shay-in wama min hisabika AAalayhim minshay-in fatatrudahum fatakoona mina alththalimeena | ولا تطرد الذين يدعون ربهم بالغداة والعشي يريدون وجهه ما عليك من حسابهم من شيء وما من حسابك عليهم من شيء فتطردهم فتكون من الظالمين وَلاَ تَطْرُدِ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُ مَا عَلَيْكَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ وَمَا مِنْ حِسَابِكَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ فَتَطْرُدَهُمْ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تطرد - send away| الذين - those who| يدعون - call| ربهم - their Lord| بالغداة - in the morning| والعشي - and the evening| يريدون - desiring| وجهه - His Countenance.| ما - Not| عليك - (is) on you| من - of| حسابهم - their account| من - [of]| شيء - anything,| وما - and not| من - from| حسابك - your account| عليهم - on them| من - [of]| شيء - anything.| فتطردهم - So were you to send them away,| فتكون - then you would be| من - of| الظالمين - the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 6 [6:108] | Wala tasubboo allatheenayadAAoona min dooni Allahi fayasubboo AllahaAAadwan bighayri AAilmin kathalika zayyanna likulliommatin AAamalahum thumma ila rabbihim marjiAAuhumfayunabbi-ohum bima kanoo yaAAmaloona | ولا تسبوا الذين يدعون من دون الله فيسبوا الله عدوا بغير علم كذلك زينا لكل أمة عملهم ثم إلى ربهم مرجعهم فينبئهم بما كانوا يعملون وَلاَ تَسُبُّواْ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ فَيَسُبُّواْ اللّهَ عَدْوًا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ كَذَلِكَ زَيَّنَّا لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّهِم مَّرْجِعُهُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تسبوا - insult| الذين - those whom| يدعون - they invoke| من - from| دون - other than| الله - Allah,| فيسبوا - lest they insult| الله - Allah| عدوا - (in) enmity| بغير - without| علم - knowledge.| كذلك - Thus| زينا - We have made fair-seeming| لكل - to every| أمة - community| عملهم - their deed.| ثم - Then| إلى - to| ربهم - their Lord| مرجعهم - (is) their return,| فينبئهم - then He will inform them| بما - about what| كانوا - they used to| يعملون - do.| | ||||||
| 7 [10:66] | Ala inna lillahi man fee alssamawatiwaman fee al-ardi wama yattabiAAu allatheenayadAAoona min dooni Allahi shurakaa inyattabiAAoona illa alththanna wa-inhum illa yakhrusoona | ألا إن لله من في السماوات ومن في الأرض وما يتبع الذين يدعون من دون الله شركاء إن يتبعون إلا الظن وإن هم إلا يخرصون أَلاَ إِنَّ لِلّهِ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَات وَمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ شُرَكَاءَ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلاَّ الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلاَّ يَخْرُصُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ألا - No doubt!| إن - Indeed,| لله - to Allah (belongs)| من - whoever| في - (is) in| السماوات - the heavens| ومن - and whoever| في - (is) in| الأرض - the earth.| وما - And not| يتبع - follow| الذين - those who| يدعون - invoke| من - other than Allah| دون - other than Allah| الله - other than Allah| شركاء - partners.| إن - Not| يتبعون - they follow| إلا - but| الظن - the assumption| وإن - and not| هم - they| إلا - but| يخرصون - guess.| | ||||||
| 8 [11:101] | Wama thalamnahumwalakin thalamoo anfusahum famaaghnat AAanhum alihatuhumu allatee yadAAoona min dooni Allahimin shay-in lamma jaa amru rabbika wama zadoohumghayra tatbeebin | وما ظلمناهم ولكن ظلموا أنفسهم فما أغنت عنهم آلهتهم التي يدعون من دون الله من شيء لما جاء أمر ربك وما زادوهم غير تتبيب وَمَا ظَلَمْنَاهُمْ وَلَـكِن ظَلَمُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ فَمَا أَغْنَتْ عَنْهُمْ آلِهَتُهُمُ الَّتِي يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ مِن شَيْءٍ لَّمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ وَمَا زَادُوهُمْ غَيْرَ تَتْبِيبٍ | |||||
| Words | |وما - And not| ظلمناهم - We wronged them| ولكن - but| ظلموا - they wronged| أنفسهم - themselves.| فما - So not| أغنت - availed| عنهم - them| آلهتهم - their gods| التي - which| يدعون - they invoked| من - other than Allah,| دون - other than Allah,| الله - other than Allah,| من - any| شيء - thing,| لما - when| جاء - came| أمر - (the) command (of) your Lord.| ربك - (the) command (of) your Lord.| وما - And not| زادوهم - they increased them| غير - other than| تتبيب - ruin.| | ||||||
| 9 [13:14] | Lahu daAAwatu alhaqqi waallatheenayadAAoona min doonihi la yastajeeboona lahum bishay-in illakabasiti kaffayhi ila alma-iliyablugha fahu wama huwa bibalighihi wamaduAAao alkafireena illa fee dalalin | له دعوة الحق والذين يدعون من دونه لا يستجيبون لهم بشيء إلا كباسط كفيه إلى الماء ليبلغ فاه وما هو ببالغه وما دعاء الكافرين إلا في ضلال لَهُ دَعْوَةُ الْحَقِّ وَالَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ لاَ يَسْتَجِيبُونَ لَهُم بِشَيْءٍ إِلاَّ كَبَاسِطِ كَفَّيْهِ إِلَى الْمَاءِ لِيَبْلُغَ فَاهُ وَمَا هُوَ بِبَالِغِهِ وَمَا دُعَاءُ الْكَافِرِينَ إِلاَّ فِي ضَلاَلٍ | |||||
| Words | |له - To Him| دعوة - (is) supplication| الحق - (of) the truth.| والذين - And those whom| يدعون - they invoke| من - besides Him| دونه - besides Him| لا - not| يستجيبون - they respond| لهم - to them| بشيء - with a thing| إلا - except| كباسط - like one who stretches| كفيه - his hands| إلى - towards| الماء - water| ليبلغ - to reach| فاه - his mouth,| وما - but not| هو - it| ببالغه - reaches it.| وما - And not| دعاء - (is) the supplication| الكافرين - (of) the disbelievers| إلا - but| في - in| ضلال - error.| | ||||||
| 10 [16:20] | Waallatheena yadAAoona mindooni Allahi la yakhluqoona shay-an wahumyukhlaqoona | والذين يدعون من دون الله لا يخلقون شيئا وهم يخلقون وَالَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ لاَ يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْئًا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those whom| يدعون - they invoke| من - besides| دون - besides| الله - Allah| لا - not| يخلقون - they create| شيئا - anything,| وهم - but (are) themselves| يخلقون - created.| | ||||||
| 11 [17:57] | Ola-ika allatheena yadAAoonayabtaghoona ila rabbihimu alwaseelata ayyuhum aqrabuwayarjoona rahmatahu wayakhafoona AAathabahuinna AAathaba rabbika kana mahthooran | أولئك الذين يدعون يبتغون إلى ربهم الوسيلة أيهم أقرب ويرجون رحمته ويخافون عذابه إن عذاب ربك كان محذورا أُولَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ يَبْتَغُونَ إِلَى رَبِّهِمُ الْوَسِيلَةَ أَيُّهُمْ أَقْرَبُ وَيَرْجُونَ رَحْمَتَهُ وَيَخَافُونَ عَذَابَهُ إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ كَانَ مَحْذُورًا | |||||
| Words | |أولئك - Those| الذين - whom| يدعون - they call,| يبتغون - seek| إلى - to| ربهم - their Lord| الوسيلة - the means of access,| أيهم - which of them| أقرب - (is) nearest,| ويرجون - and they hope| رحمته - (for) His mercy| ويخافون - and fear| عذابه - His punishment.| إن - Indeed,| عذاب - (the) punishment| ربك - (of) your Lord| كان - is| محذورا - (ever) feared.| | ||||||
| 12 [18:28] | Waisbir nafsaka maAAa allatheenayadAAoona rabbahum bialghadati waalAAashiyyiyureedoona wajhahu wala taAAdu AAaynaka AAanhumtureedu zeenata alhayati alddunya walatutiAA man aghfalna qalbahu AAan thikrinawaittabaAAa hawahu wakana amruhu furutan | واصبر نفسك مع الذين يدعون ربهم بالغداة والعشي يريدون وجهه ولا تعد عيناك عنهم تريد زينة الحياة الدنيا ولا تطع من أغفلنا قلبه عن ذكرنا واتبع هواه وكان أمره فرطا وَاصْبِرْ نَفْسَكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُ وَلاَ تَعْدُ عَيْنَاكَ عَنْهُمْ تُرِيدُ زِينَةَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَلاَ تُطِعْ مَنْ أَغْفَلْنَا قَلْبَهُ عَن ذِكْرِنَا وَاتَّبَعَ هَوَاهُ وَكَانَ أَمْرُهُ فُرُطًا | |||||
| Words | |واصبر - And be patient,| نفسك - yourself,| مع - with| الذين - those who| يدعون - call| ربهم - their Lord| بالغداة - in the morning| والعشي - and the evening| يريدون - desiring| وجهه - His Face.| ولا - And (let) not| تعد - pass beyond| عيناك - your eyes| عنهم - over them,| تريد - desiring| زينة - adornment| الحياة - (of) the life| الدنيا - (of) the world,| ولا - and (do) not| تطع - obey| من - whom| أغفلنا - We have made heedless| قلبه - his heart| عن - of| ذكرنا - Our remembrance,| واتبع - and follows| هواه - his desires| وكان - and is| أمره - his affair| فرطا - (in) excess.| | ||||||
| 13 [22:62] | Thalika bi-anna Allaha huwa alhaqquwaanna ma yadAAoona min doonihi huwa albatiluwaanna Allaha huwa alAAaliyyu alkabeeru | ذلك بأن الله هو الحق وأن ما يدعون من دونه هو الباطل وأن الله هو العلي الكبير ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ هُوَ الْبَاطِلُ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيرُ | |||||
| Words | |ذلك - That (is),| بأن - because| الله - Allah,| هو - He| الحق - (is) the Truth,| وأن - and that| ما - what| يدعون - they invoke| من - besides Him,| دونه - besides Him,| هو - it| الباطل - (is) the falsehood.| وأن - And that| الله - Allah,| هو - He| العلي - (is) the Most High,| الكبير - the Most Great.| | ||||||
| 14 [25:68] | Waallatheena layadAAoona maAAa Allahi ilahan akharawala yaqtuloona alnnafsa allatee harrama Allahuilla bialhaqqi wala yaznoona wamanyafAAal thalika yalqa athaman | والذين لا يدعون مع الله إلها آخر ولا يقتلون النفس التي حرم الله إلا بالحق ولا يزنون ومن يفعل ذلك يلق أثاما وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًا | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those who| لا - (do) not| يدعون - invoke| مع - with| الله - Allah| إلها - god| آخر - another,| ولا - and (do) not| يقتلون - [they] kill| النفس - the soul| التي - which| حرم - Allah has forbidden| الله - Allah has forbidden| إلا - except| بالحق - by right| ولا - and (do) not| يزنون - commit unlawful sexual intercourse.| ومن - And whoever| يفعل - does| ذلك - that| يلق - will meet| أثاما - a penalty.| | ||||||
| 15 [28:41] | WajaAAalnahum a-immatan yadAAoona ilaalnnari wayawma alqiyamati la yunsaroona | وجعلناهم أئمة يدعون إلى النار ويوم القيامة لا ينصرون وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَدْعُونَ إِلَى النَّارِ وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَا يُنصَرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وجعلناهم - And We made them| أئمة - leaders| يدعون - inviting| إلى - to| النار - the Fire,| ويوم - and (on the) Day| القيامة - (of) the Resurrection| لا - not| ينصرون - they will be helped.| | ||||||
| 16 [29:42] | Inna Allaha yaAAlamu mayadAAoona min doonihi min shay-in wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu | إن الله يعلم ما يدعون من دونه من شيء وهو العزيز الحكيم إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ مِن شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ | |||||

| 18 [32:16] | Tatajafa junoobuhum AAani almadajiAAiyadAAoona rabbahum khawfan watamaAAan wamimmarazaqnahum yunfiqoona | تتجافى جنوبهم عن المضاجع يدعون ربهم خوفا وطمعا ومما رزقناهم ينفقون تَتَجَافَى جُنُوبُهُمْ عَنِ الْمَضَاجِعِ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُمْ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |تتجافى - Forsake| جنوبهم - their sides| عن - from| المضاجع - (their) beds;| يدعون - they call| ربهم - their Lord| خوفا - (in) fear| وطمعا - and hope,| ومما - and out of what| رزقناهم - We have provided them| ينفقون - they spend.| | ||||||
| 19 [36:57] | Lahum feeha fakihatun walahumma yaddaAAoona | لهم فيها فاكهة ولهم ما يدعون لَهُمْ فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَلَهُم مَّا يَدَّعُونَ | |||||
